00:11They have now won four consecutive games on the road.
00:14They won the first two games in Houston at the best of three in Houston,
00:19swept out the Astros.
00:20Now they've taken game one in game two in Cleveland,
00:23and they go back home for a game tomorrow for game three with a chance to wrap
00:29up the series.
00:31The White Sox last home playoff clinching win came on October 14th, 1906,
00:39when the White Sox beat the Cubs to win the World Series.
00:44I'm going to ask you a serious question, Brigade.

00:48Because I did not know that.
00:51We have spent so much time in baseball lore talking about the Red Sox and the
00:55Cubs, talking about all of the history, the Billy Goat,
00:59the Curse, the Curse of the Bambino, the Green Monster, Wrigley Field,
01:03and the Ivy, Wrigleyville, all the White Sox history.

01:18The last time the Chicago White Sox clinched a playoff series at home was in 1906?

01:41And if we're going to get this in the next two days where the White Sox gets to
01:45clinch a series at home to make the American League Championship Series and
01:49take care of the Guardians.
01:51Look, I don't know if they're a team of destiny.
01:53I don't know if they've got incredible chemistry.
01:55I don't know what you want to come up with from a reaction standpoint as to what
02:01this franchise currently has cooking, but they have been one of the best teams in
02:07the American League all year long, and they got a good draw, okay?
02:13Major League Baseball needs to recede, but they don't, okay?
02:18And since they don't, the White Sox get to play a team from their division that
02:25they know, that they've seen all year, and they know how to beat, and that's what
02:29they did yesterday.
02:30They went down 2-0 in the first inning, and I really, I was on the White Sox
02:33yesterday, and I really thought the White Sox were going to lose that game, but
02:37the Guardians didn't take advantage of a bases-loaded, one-out situation.
02:41They scored two runs, but they could have had four or five or six runs.
02:46They could have blown that game wide open and ended the game using the home
02:49crowd, and it didn't happen.
02:52The White Sox were able to limit the damage.
02:54They pulled Anthony Kaye after three batters.
02:57Anthony Kaye did not have it.
02:59They went to the bullpen, and Sean Burke, when he came into the game, was
03:02outstanding.
03:03He shut down everything, and it was all about the offense then for the White
03:09Sox, who went up 4-2.
03:12Guardians got a run in the bottom of the eighth inning, and then they did
03:15nothing in the ninth.
03:17And what a performance by that bullpen for the White Sox, and just they're doing
03:22everything right, everything is going in the right direction for Chicago, and I will
03:27admit, I bet the 25-1 ticket on the White Sox in July to win the American League
03:32Championship Series because I thought they'd have a bye to the Divisional Series.
03:37I didn't think they'd have to play against the Astros in the Wild Card Series.
03:41I thought that bet was dead.
03:42I was like, come on, the White Sox aren't winning two series.
03:45This team, out of nowhere, is going to win two postseason series, and unless they
03:50completely melt and collapse, and the Guardians have, and again, it's the same, it's
03:55even a worse trend, but, you know, in terms of teams with a 2-0 lead in the best of
04:00five, 83 times out of 93 series, that's nearly 90% the team up 2-0 wins.
04:09So it's not impossible, it's not, you know, improbable, but it's highly unlikely the
04:15Guardians are going to win three games in a row to beat these White Sox just because
04:20of they're young, they don't know any better, and they're just on fire.
04:26And so an American League Championship Series between the Rays and the White Sox, the White
04:32Sox are four games away, and I don't know what to do, to be frank, with that 25-1 ticket
04:39on the White Sox, I might let it ride.
04:42Like, I don't know if I'm going to hedge.
04:44I'll hedge something, but I don't know how much I'm going to hedge.
04:48I may wait to see what game one looks like before I hedge on it and take a 25-1
04:54ticket
04:54into, all I need is the White Sox to win four games and get to the World Series.
04:59I don't need them to win the World Series, but I have a 12-1 ticket on the Brewers to
05:05win the World Series, and the Brewers are going to be in for a battle, whether it be
05:09the Dodgers or the Braves, the Brewers are going to have their hands full.
05:13And that's why I've been saying for pretty much the entire summer that the winner of the
05:17National League Championship Series is going to win the World Series.
