00:00Baku is the stage for the middleweights on day four of the World Judo Championships.
00:05At under 63kg, reigning world champion Kaju Haruka has never lost a contest on the World Judo Tour.
00:11And here in Baku, she was determined to keep that record intact.
00:16She confidently earned her place in the final, aiming to keep her red backpatch for another year and continue her
00:23remarkable run.
00:27She'd face Kerem Primo, who was entering not only her first World Championship final, but her first ever World Judo
00:34Tour final.
00:36It was the biggest moment of her career, and standing across from her would be one of the sport's most
00:41formidable champions.
00:49In the final, Kaju used her trademark groundwork to take control of the contest.
00:54Once in Nehwaza, the Japanese judoka was clinical, extending her unbeaten run to 40 contests, and taking her place at
01:03the top of the podium in Baku.
01:07The atmosphere here is really special.
01:11All the fans are waving flags, drumming and cheering, and I really enjoy it.
01:18Football legend Mr. Lothar Mateus awarded the medals.
01:28Tato Grigolashvili was here to add a fourth World title to his collection in the under-81kg category.
01:35After settling for silver last year, one of Judo's most dominant forces had another World Gold firmly within his reach.
01:49Facing him was Azerbaijan's own Zelenskayev, who was looking to upgrade last year's World Bronze Medal to a history-making
01:57World Gold in his home nation.
02:00With the support of his home fans cheering him on, could he rise to the challenge and become world champion?
02:11The atmosphere was electric as the final got underway, and Grigolashvili rose to the occasion.
02:17The Georgian delivered with a gravity-defying counter-attack when it mattered most, securing victory, and with it, a fourth
02:25World title, further cementing his place among Judo's modern greats.
02:33There were less Georgian supporters than from the home nation, but those that were here meant the whole world to
02:40me.
02:41Azerbaijan Judo Federation President Mr. Rashad Nabiyev awarded the medals.
02:54That's it for Day 4 in the Land of Fire.
