00:00I think there's lots of shared interest in defence between ourselves and Germany and
00:05our other NATO allies.
00:07And Germany has stepped up.
00:09They have increased the amount of expenditure.
00:11What we've been pushing forward as a Conservative Party is trying to get the British government
00:16to do the same.
00:17The Conservatives have a fully funded plan to get to 3% of GDP to spend on our defence.
00:22Labour at the moment have not committed to that.
00:24We want to see the details.
00:25So hopefully Mr. Bernhard will get some inspiration from the German Chancellor about the importance
00:30of doing this.
00:31And we'll hear more about that in the budget, but we still wait and see.
