00:00For Babel in Gaza, a ceasefire is not just a headline or an agreement announced in a press conference.
00:07What is happening now does not feel like a ceasefire.
00:11Babel are still dying, families are still living in tents, winter rains are flooding the churches.
00:17Babel are still standing in long lines for a bread searching for something to eat.
00:22We want to fear the ceasefire in our daily lives.
00:25We want the bombing to actually stop, for families to go to sleep knowing their children will still be there
00:32when they wake up in the morning,
00:33for Babel to have access to water, food and medicine without fear or hardship,
00:39and for families to have a safe place that protects them instead of continuing to live among rubble and tents.
00:48After three years of genocide, Babel here are not asking for much.
00:53They are asking for safety, for a home, for a school that children can return to,
00:59for a hospital that can actually provide the care they need,
01:03for an ordinary day where fear is no longer part of everyday life.
01:09A ceasefire is an essential first step,
01:13but it means little if Babel's lives remain suspended in uncertainty.
