00:02From November 5th the Arapacis Museum hosts Egypt and Rome, the faces of the Faium,
00:08an exhibition dedicated to the painted faces of Roman Egypt and the putré of portraiture in ancient Rome.
00:14Through over 110 works, including panels, shrouds, funerary masks, marbles, plaster casts and
00:20Ancient goldsmiths, the exhibition tells one of the most fascinating artistic expressions
00:26of antiquity. The Faium portraits are among the most famous painted images of antiquity and most
00:32rare in Italian museums. There are just under a thousand of them preserved throughout the world. For the first time
00:38Egypt grants almost all of the plates preserved in its collections, which have never been released
00:43from the country. About 50 of these portraits will be exceptionally reunited in Rome, including the famous
00:50roundel of the two brothers. The Ludovico Corrao Museum of Contemporary Art presents Macerie,
00:57Liubolin's new project, born from the photographs taken during the performances
01:02conducted by the artist Gibellina in the Belice area last June. Famous throughout the
01:08world as The Invisible Man, Liubolin has been using his own body as a surface for over 20 years
01:14of camouflage. In Gibellina the artist has chosen some emblematic places of the city
01:19new and the ruins of Poggio Reale, transforming them into the setting for a series of performative actions.
01:25The exhibition, set up from 17 October, today returns an unpublished cycle of images in which the body
01:31it blends with the surfaces, colours and architecture of a landscape deeply marked by memory
01:37of the earthquake. The exhibition at the Matissi Museum is called "The World in a Room."
