00:00They were all too overly emotional yesterday.
00:03This is the thing I'm getting at with the excitement of the crowd
00:06and the intensity of 40,000.
00:09And they had all said for weeks they were hoping to get this
00:11and they're looking forward to it.
00:14There was some antsiness that went on.
00:16And the one thing that concerns me is the antsiness of the at-bats,
00:20especially from the seventh inning on.
00:22The side was struck out by the lefty reliever Heron in the seventh,
00:26three Ks to add to the pile.
00:27Eight of the last nine outs were made on strikeouts.
00:31This is not how they got here.
00:33The Mooney strikeouts, it was like, oh, because they had them out front
00:37and they had them kind of like on a knee on some of the breaking pitches.
00:42It was ugly because that's the guy in that moment.
00:45You're like, you could get us back into this game if you want.
00:47That's my fear is that a bunch of them were thinking like that.
00:50It'll be me that'll get the big hit.
00:54Because you want to and you're feeling the need for it.
00:57And that is not how you got here.
00:58That's not how you won these last four games.
01:00It's by fighting and scratching and drawing walks
01:04and getting hit by a pitch if need be, whatever.
01:07Hey, Sam continues to do all of it.
01:09Didn't he have a perfect Sam line yesterday?
01:11Wasn't it a hit, a walk, and an HBP?
01:14Oh, that's the three true outcomes.
01:15That's the Antonacci three true outcomes.
01:17I love that.
01:18But this is what they have to be.
01:20And this is what they've done.
01:22The homers will hopefully come.
01:24But I was a little worried about the overall team antsiness.
01:27And that's what can't continue.
01:29That's what can't continue.
01:30But to their credit, all year long, they have bounced back again and again and again.
01:37And they all said it after the game.
01:39Didn't they?
01:39Will Venable said it.
01:40Davis Martin said it.
01:42Miguel Vargas said it.
01:44This is what we are.
01:45This is what we've done all year long.
01:47Davis Martin said, quiet confidence.
01:50Nothing changes.
01:51We've been playing really good baseball.
01:53Will Venable said we've been in tough spots.
01:55We haven't played our best.
01:56We drop a game.
01:57It's all about coming back the next day.
01:59It's been the story of our year.
02:00This is what they've done.
02:03So I have faith that a good version of them will show up tonight.
02:07Good night.
