00:00Sunderland manager Reggie Libri spoke in his press conference about the charges against Manchester City and the ongoing appeal.
00:07He did so once the club requested cameras were switched off.
00:12Libri said ongoing legal proceedings meant he would not comment on the specifics, but he did underline the need to
00:19safeguard fairness in the competition.
00:22He added that football has rules both on and off the pitch and they must be respected and when they
00:28are broken there should be consequences, otherwise the value of the competition is eroded.
00:35He said the authorities must be relentless and also reflected on recent injuries during the international break as well as
00:42Sunderland's start to the season.
00:44Yeah, so it's going to be short term, so it's really positive. We were a bit worried when we saw
00:50the video.
00:53Brian, just after the game, wasn't too worried because he experienced different injuries in the past and this one, he
01:01was adamant that it wasn't too serious and it's the case.
01:05So we won't take too much risks, but it won't be too long.
01:10I'm happy. I think we set a clear picture of this position with three strikers.
01:19I think Brian is in a really good place and started the season really well.
01:25So he got a small injury, it's not a problem.
01:29It's true that we would like to have him perfectly fit, but we have Wilson, who is a really good
01:36striker with a different style of play,
01:38but really competitive for the Premier League. It showed his qualities last season.
01:44And the third striker is always a situation a bit different because if you don't have game time, it's hard
01:50to keep them involved.
01:52So it's always interesting to have a young player, an underdog spirit.
01:58And I think one is exactly that profile.
02:02So we are in our setup and happy with it.
02:06Yeah, I think it's a bit long and a bit unusual.
02:09We try to take the most of it because it was possible to think a bit differently, a bit deeper
02:15in different areas,
02:16which is good for the coaching staff, I think.
02:18For the players, I know that they appreciate to go with their national teams, but it was a long break.
02:26And now we'll see for the next nine game block.
02:31Yeah, it's important.
02:32It starts with us.
02:34I think the first block in the Premier League and the Carabao Cup and the first European game,
02:42we showed that we have a good energy.
02:45And we are brave to press high, we have good mobility, we are good on the ball.
02:51Now it's a question of small details and the crowd helps because it's not a detail,
02:57it's a really important driver for our team.
