The assembly by-poll results across two key constituencies in Tamil Nadu have delivered a sweep for the ruling regional party, winning both Dharapuram and Madurantakam. Supporters and party leaders launched widespread celebrations following the election outcome, calling the mandate a triumph of people power over electoral corruption and financial influence. The election campaign in both segments successfully countered anti-incumbency narratives. Meanwhile, the key opposition leadership condemned the election outcome, alleging betrayal and describing the campaign push as a desperate political manoeuvre as party rivalries intensified across the state.

00:00First reaction that's coming in from Chief Minister Vijaya after the Bible sweep winning both Madhurandakam as well as Dharapuram.
00:07Chief Minister Vijaya has in fact said that this result is out.
00:13Once again, the people have affirmed the top position held by TVK in their hearts.
00:19He's also gone on to say that this victory has been achieved without paying a single penny for votes,
00:25without herding people into enclosures like cattle or humiliating them and without relying on what he refers to as the
00:33E-road formula,
00:34suggesting essentially that there were paid crowds, there's money is given, none of that the TVK does.
00:40Now besides that, he's also said that the people have rejected Tamil Nadu being a fortress of corruption
00:45and rather wanted to be a stronghold of immense people power.
00:50However, not just that, Chief Minister Vijaya has spoken of moneyocracy,
00:54saying that that has been defeated, a message of moneyocracy has been defeated by the people in this Bible.
01:01So this is in fact the big update that's coming in with Chief Minister Vijaya saying
01:06that there's a response here to those who mocked and ridiculed the fact that we campaigned for in two days
01:12in these two constituencies.
01:28Thank you very much.

02:01I'm a lot you even ever look at any are
02:10Let me bring in Apoorva Jai Chandra, who is joining us live with more details on this massive victory for
02:17the TVK.
02:18Apoorva, you've got celebrations all around.
02:21Tamil Nadu painted red and yellow once again.
02:24And Chief Minister Vijay celebrating with his top team with a gesture that's now become his signature move every time
02:32he decimates his rivals.
02:34The DMK and AIA-DMQ.
02:40Well, that's right, Akshita.
02:41In fact, if you do see with this by-poll elections that have now, the results have come out where
02:47both in Darapuram as well as in Madhuran Takam, it's been a massive victory for the TVK.
02:52The TVK's Chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Joseph C. Vijay, is showing a post there, elated as well, along
02:58with the top leaders from the TVK, including Adhavarjuna, Bosianan and several others as well.
03:04In fact, he's taken to social media, he's taken to Twitter, wherein he has gone ahead and stated that this
03:09is a victory, victory for change, victory for Matram is what the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamil Nadu Chief,
03:16Joseph C. Vijay, has gone ahead and stated.
03:18But, incidentally, on the other side, you also see the brickbats coming down, wherein the DMK's Chief and Tamil Nadu's
03:25former Chief Minister, M.K.
03:27Stalin, has gone ahead and stated this is a victory for betrayal and that's what he has gone ahead and
03:32said.
03:32In fact, M.K. Stalin, just drawing parallels to the kind of message that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Joseph C.
03:39Vijay, has gone ahead and talked about, wherein he says that this is a victory for the people, this is
03:43a victory for good governance.
03:45M.K. Stalin has gone ahead, drawing parallels there and said that this is nothing but nothing, a desperate act
03:50for trying to win by the TVK.
03:53The Chief Minister, Vijay, has, over the last couple of days, been continuously touring Dharapuram and Madhuran Thakam, going ahead,
04:01drinking tea, driving tractors and what not.
04:04All the cinematics that has come down on the field now.
04:07It's all worked. His campaign there in those two seats has worked the magic that they needed for the TVK.
04:12This is, for obvious reasons, a celebration moment for Vijay because any narrative that suggested that there was anti-income,
04:19any narrative that suggested that there's going to be a tough fight,
04:21all of that has been decimated there in that signature gesture that Chief Minister Vijay is sending across exactly that
04:29message that we have prevailed once again.
04:32The TVK managing to win both those seats in the by-poll.
