Marketside may not get all of the attention of the other big brands, but their hot dogs can match up with the best of them. In this video, a pair of Food & Wine experts blindly taste test a pack of Marketside’s uncured Angus beef franks and reveal how they feel about the quality.

00:00It's a nice split on that. This might be a natural casing. Yeah, I don't see a single line,
00:04and that splitting right there is really making me think of natural casing right there. It's got
00:08that little snappy tear. So it is salty. It is sweet, and it has a nice garlic note to it.
00:15It's almost like looking at, you know, the skin on pork. It might be a collagen casing. There is
00:20a fake casing that does this. I think we're getting tricked, but I do think this is really
00:25nice. Whatever this casing is, is a step up from a skinless hot dog. A hundred percent. And it's
00:30not even close. You can see how juicy my hands are in a good way. Yeah, you can see it's
00:35like
00:35there's variation in texture of the meat. Of all the hot dogs, this is the one that's coming with
00:39the most complexity. This is the best one we've had. I agree. This is definitely the best hot dog so
00:43far.
