He Called Me Useful. Then a Dragon Chose Me. is an emotional fantasy romance about six years of unrequited love and the unexpected arrival of a dragon. Alice Vale is a dedicated healer who quietly loves Zev, a wolf shifter captain who depends on her to calm his feral urges before battle. Despite everything she has done for him, Zev dismisses Alice as merely “useful” and pursues another woman.
For Alice, this rejection forces a painful confrontation with the relationship she has spent years hoping would become something more. But just as her old dream begins to fall apart, a dragon enters her destiny, introducing a mysterious new possibility.
The story combines heartbreak, supernatural fantasy, wolf shifter lore, and dragon romance in a journey about being valued for more than what you can provide. Alice's experience will resonate with viewers who enjoy rejected heroines, complicated romantic relationships, and fantasy stories where an unexpected bond changes everything.
