00:37and filming is planned to begin in early 2027.
00:40This isn't just another Turkish drama announcement.
00:43It's an international production
00:45that could introduce Handa to an even wider audience.
00:48But wait!
00:49The storyline is what really makes this movie stand out.
00:53Handa Erçel will play Merve,
00:55a Turkish widow who moves to Germany
00:57with her 12-year-old son after losing her husband.
01:00She's trying to rebuild her life in a new country.
01:03But just when she hopes for a fresh start,
01:06she finds herself caught in a painful struggle
01:08involving harassment, prejudice, and the fight for justice.
01:12When she speaks up about what happened,
01:14she faces disbelief and accusations
01:17instead of the support she needs.
01:19Imagine trying to protect your child
01:21while fighting a system that refuses to listen to you.
01:25That is the emotional challenge at the heart of Diaspora.
01:29And there's another major detail.
01:31The film will feature German, English, and Turkish dialogue,
01:35bringing different cultures together in one powerful story.
