00:02Up, down and all around, pigeons are making their mark on Pinaroo.
00:09Businesses in the small farming town have been on the front line of the mess they're leaving behind for decades.
00:16I'd say 15, 20 years perhaps. I can't recall any pigeons before that,
00:20but they've been out of control ever since and seem to be getting worse.
00:23This business owner is constantly cleaning droppings off his farm machinery.
00:28We try and park the machines between the rafters to limit the amount of droppings on the machines,
00:34because it damages the paint and that.
00:36Down the street, the post office operator says pigeons are damaging infrastructure across the town.
00:42I've got a daughter that's at the school, so I know how much damage has been done to the infrastructure
00:47there.
00:49Also, same with sporting clubs involved in, where you're constantly dealing with damage caused by them.
00:56The Department for Education has recently replaced gutters and rainwater tanks contaminated by pigeons here at Pinaroo Primary School
01:03to ensure students have clean drinking water.
01:06The local council is using a contractor to control pigeon numbers through culling.
01:11We've got a local contractor, a specialist who deals with this sort of stuff to go out and look at
01:18targeted areas.
01:20But with plenty of feet around, the birds are expected to keep coming back.
01:25It is going to be a real ongoing process for us.
01:30But then I'm going to be a dirty day.
01:30I'm going to keep getting the shoes off.
01:31Now you are moving.
01:32Go ahead and see who lays under thechuss on Cohen 1800s!
01:32We have a hard drive, and suddenly, maybe the members out there of kollogo above all the prisoners
01:32and never really handy.
01:32We have a bow on quería店.
01:32Give her a bow.
01:32But she slept on it.
01:32You
