Everyone blames Amber in The Triplets' Final Regret. Watch it again and you'll notice she barely does anything.
She's the maid's daughter. She shows up. She tells a version of events. And the Lockhart triplets do the rest themselves — every abandonment, every humiliation, every time Elisa gets left behind.
Amber never forces a single choice. She just makes it easy to make the wrong one.
And Elisa, half-human and half-vampire, keeps trusting them anyway, until the night she stops.
That's the unsettling part. The show isn't about a villain winning. It's about three men who never needed one.
✨ What worked for me:
Count how many decisions Amber actually makes. It's almost none.
The triplets' excuses get thinner every episode.
✨ Bottom line: the best "they did it to themselves" arc I've watched.
Who's really the villain here?

00:00She'll be back!
00:01No, she won't!
00:02Stop kidding yourself!
00:03Elisa's done with this family!
00:05You took everything she loved, her horse, her garden,
00:07ten years of loving you three with her whole heart
00:09and destroyed it for a manipulative liar.
00:11You threw it all away for Amber Hills!
00:13She was wrong. We were trying to teach her a lesson.
00:17Teach her?
00:17You called her spoiled, cruel, and a thief
00:20while Amber played the helpless victim?
00:22That girl played all three of you like fools.
00:24Don't you get it?
00:25Did you really forget who Elisa was before Amber showed up?
00:30Oh, thanks you guys!
00:34Amber showed up, and everything changed.
00:41Jacob?
00:43I thought you promised me the championship jersey this year?
00:47Elisa, can you not?
00:48It's Amber's birthday, we were just trying to surprise her!
00:51We promised we'd win this one for her and make it a memorable birthday.
00:53Did you really have to make it about you?
00:56But today...
01:01Today's my birthday too.
01:08So that's why you came to ruin it?
01:09To guilt us for not getting you a gift?
01:12Amber's never had a real birthday.
01:15We've celebrated yours every year.
01:17Come on, just let her have this one.
01:18I'm sorry guys, this is all my fault.
01:20I mean, I'm just the maid's daughter.
01:22I don't deserve the jersey as much as Elisa.
01:24Please just give it to her.
01:28And there she goes.
01:30Right on cue.
01:31It's okay Amber, you did nothing wrong.
01:33We promised you the jersey.
01:35The world doesn't revolve around you, Elisa.
01:37Just leave us alone.
01:38Exactly!
01:39Get out of the way!
01:40Let's go!
01:54That's Elisa, right?
01:56God, what a mess.
01:57Amber told me Elisa got caught stealing the class funds.
01:59No wonder the triplets don't go near her anymore.
02:01What do you expect from some orphanage strafe?
02:03It's in their nature to steal.
02:19Happy 18th, Elisa.
02:20I think it's time we talk about your future.
02:22Come to my office when you're free.
02:23If they don't want me anymore, then it's time for me to leave.
02:28Elisa, happy birthday!
02:33What happened to your head?
02:34Did those brats have anything to do with it?
02:36I'm fine, Auntie Catherine.
02:38I tripped.
02:39That's all.
02:42So, what did you want to talk to me about?
02:52Well, obviously you're a half-blood.
02:54Now that you're 18, you have to pick a side.
02:59You have one week to choose.
03:02You can go through purification and become a full human.
03:06Or you transfer to the night school to become a full vampire.
03:10Wait too long and the two sides of your blood will tear you apart.
03:15Your mother was my best friend.
03:16I promised her you'd get to choose your own life.
03:20Whatever you decide, I'm with you.
03:27Check it out.
03:28I posted it just for you to see.
03:30Feeling so loved by my favorite boys.
03:34Ten years with you guys and she replaced me in less than one.
03:39Elisa, did you hear me?
03:44I'm fine, Aunt Catherine.
03:46Sorry, please, go on.
03:48I was just saying that you and my boys have always been inseparable.
03:51So stay human.
03:52Stay with us.
03:53Let them keep looking out for you.
03:55I can arrange the purification this week.
03:57Thank you, Aunt Catherine, but I've decided.
04:01I'm going to become a vampire and I'm transferring to the night school.
04:04Please call the vampire lord and start the process today.
04:06What?
04:08You're serious?
04:10Elisa, once you make that choice, you can't take it back.
04:13What happened?
04:14Was it the boys?
04:15Amber?
04:16Don't make a permanent decision because you're hurt now.
04:19Come with me.
04:20I'll deal with them.
04:21I'm not doing this to punish anyone.
04:23Just fine.
04:24I don't have anything left here.
04:27It all started when they began to prioritize Amber over me.
04:30Always taking her words over mine.
04:33Amber?
04:34Amber?
04:34Is that Aunt Catherine's watch?
04:35No, I just-
04:44Elisa, you can't steal from Mrs. Lockhart!
04:46That's a crime!
04:47You can hit me all you want, but I can't cover for you!
04:52Elisa, this is unacceptable.
04:53So let me get this straight.
04:54Not only did you steal from us, you then attacked Amber to shut her up?
04:58What the hell is wrong with you?
04:59I did it!
04:59It was her!
05:00She-
05:00Enough! Stop lying!
05:01After that, I was just the greedy little thief who never changed.
05:08And Amber was the sweet, innocent girl they had to protect.
05:13Maybe becoming a vampire is not so bad.
05:17Your father and the old vampire lord fought side by side in the war.
05:20They were like brothers.
05:21His family will protect you.
05:24Your father even had you promised to his heir in marriage.
05:29Elisa, are you absolutely sure?
05:31Because when the boys find out-
05:32I'm sure.
05:33And Catherine?
05:36Please don't tell them.
05:37Alright.
05:38If this is what you want, I'll respect the decision, and okay?
05:41I won't tell them.
05:42You have my word.
05:43These are your transfer papers.
05:46Once I transfer to night school, they won't have to deal with me anymore.
05:53Jacob, Oliver, Nash.
05:55This is the last thing I'll ever do for you.
05:58I'll set you free.
05:59I wanna be a good one, just for you.
06:03If you're the world love, just for you.
06:06Forget who I was, just for you.
06:09No, I don't know me.
06:10Um, that's my seat?
06:12Oh, I'm sorry.
06:14I wasn't feeling well the other day, so the boys let me sit here.
06:17You're not mad at me again, are you?
06:25From now on, Elisa gets the window seat.
06:27Always.
06:27We don't want her to get carsick again.
06:31I brought your favorite snacks.
06:32Here.
06:33Maybe they'll help.
06:35This seat is yours for life, okay?
06:40You guys know I always get sick in the car.
06:45Why would you give her my seat?
06:49Well, Amber feels sick right now, and that's all because of you.
06:52It's just a seat, Elisa.
06:54Why are you turning it into a whole thing?
06:57Not this again.
06:58Please stop acting so selfish, my God.
07:01Enough, Elisa.
07:03Just let Amber have it today.
07:05You've already put her through enough.
07:06You promised that seat would always be mine.
07:08Do your promises really mean that little to you?
07:10Here we go again.
07:11See?
07:12This is exactly what I was talking about.
07:13Enough guilt tripping.
07:14After what you pulled this morning, you're lucky you're even getting a ride.
07:17That seat is Amber's now.
07:22Fine.
07:24I give up.
07:25It's all hers.
07:27She can have it.
07:28She can have everything.
07:29What's that supposed to mean?
07:30You think this little tantrum is going to work?
07:32If you hate it here so much, get out!
07:37Don't worry.
07:38It won't be long now.
07:40What are you talking about, Elisa?
07:41You need to check yourself.
07:43That seat, your clothes, everything you own.
07:45The lock house is paid for it.
07:46We can do whatever we want.
07:47You don't get a say.
07:50Is that so?
07:52Fine.
07:53You can have it all back.
07:54You have it all back.
08:15I've never heard you do anything wrong.
08:16I've never heard you do anything wrong.
08:20Shhh.
08:22There. I don't know the walkhorns anything now.
08:30Oh please, who is this little show for? It's one seat! Stop acting like we destroyed your life!
08:35Enough with the victim complex. Since you've spent all morning bullying Amber, you can find your own way to school.
08:51Tell me the words you long to hear. I'll sing them loud and clear.
09:07It's Alisa Carter. This is Joseph, the Vampire Lord Buckley.
09:10I'm pleased to inform you that your transfer has officially been approved.
09:13The car will pick you up at sunset in the ceremony. Tonight will be your first night at Vampire School.
09:17Welcome home.
09:18At sunset. It's all over.
09:22And the Lockhart brothers, you won't ever get a say again.
09:25Three hours on that stupid bus, and I spent most of it throwing up.
09:29But, somewhere between the nausea and the humiliation, I finally saw everything clearly.
09:34I became the team manager just to stay close to them.
09:37Three years of hauling gear, washing uniforms, taking care of everything. Today, I'm done.
09:49All right team, championship photo! Everybody say cheese!
09:55Everybody? Did they forget about me?
09:58Hey, where's Alisa? We can't have a team photo without the team manager. She's done so much for us!
10:06Sorry, we didn't mean to leave you out. Come on, we'll take another one.
10:18Wait! We haven't done the celebration pose yet! Jacob, will you guys lift me up?
10:21You guys always used to do it with Alisa. It looks so cool. Pretty please? But then again, I know
10:26Alisa has to be okay with it first.
10:28Of course. Why would she mind? Come over here.
10:30It's too late to apologize!
10:32Boys! Yes!
10:36We do this every year! We can even call it the Alisa celebration!
10:40Just us! The four of us! Forever!
10:50So much for us forever. It's like our memories never meant a thing to them.
11:00Alisa, look! Jacob and the boys lifted me up so high. Do you want a copy?
11:06No thanks. That's your memory. Not mine.
11:12Alisa, are you mad at me for being close to the triplets again?
11:15Sorry!
11:16Do you want me to stop? I just... I just always wanted what you had!
11:20Seriously, Alisa? Over a picture? She's our friend! We lifted her up! Get over it!
11:25Alisa, our patience has a limit.
11:27You think I'm just throwing a tantrum?
11:29Do you guys have any idea how much you've let me down?
11:32Come on. Again, it's a photo! Who even cares?
11:35You're right. I'm the only one who cares. So let's just tear it all down.
11:39I'm just...
11:40I'm just...
11:49Oh!
11:50Oh!
11:58I'm just...
12:01Yes!
12:02This...
12:24Once, I considered this our most precious memory, one that the four of us would share forever.
12:28Now I know none of it was ever real.
12:32Did she seriously have to freak out like that?
12:34You two went way too far.
12:36Let me go check on her.
12:38I should go.
12:39This all started because of me.
12:41I'll explain that you were only trying to make me happy, not that you stopped caring about her.
12:45Thanks, Amber.
12:46If only Elisa was half as mature as you.
12:54You're just trash to them now, don't you get it?
12:56They can barely stand to look at you.
12:58Let go, Amber!
12:59I said I'm done.
13:00I'm over-caring about any of you.
13:01Just leave me alone.
13:02What's your problem?
13:03Because that's nothing to hate you.
13:05I need to know you'll never take my place again.
13:07Elisa, stop!
13:08I know you hate me, but this is just too far.
13:10You're going to kill me!
13:16Oh my God.
13:17Elisa just slammed her into the wall.
13:19Of course she did.
13:19She got adopted into the Lockharts as their princess.
13:22Now all she does is bully Amber.
13:24She hates that Amber's the maid's kid.
13:25It's just disgusting.
13:27Elisa Carter?
13:27What the hell?
13:28I didn't do anything.
13:29She threw herself.
13:36What the?
13:38Jacob, really?
13:40Just because it's her?
13:42I just...
13:45So what if he hit you?
13:46We've put up with your crap for years.
13:48Now you're bullying Amber in front of the whole school?
13:50You know we don't tolerate bullies.
13:51Oliver's right.
13:52If I keep letting Elisa get away with things, she'll only get worse.
13:55Apologize to Amber, now!
13:57I didn't push her!
13:58I've never bullied her, not even once!
13:59You're still denying it?
14:01Okay.
14:02Elisa, I lost my temper.
14:03I shouldn't have hit you, and I'm sorry.
14:05But Elisa, this is for your own good.
14:07Apologize, and we can put this behind us.
14:08Then we can all go back to normal.
14:12No.
14:13I won't apologize for something I didn't do.
14:15Fine.
14:15Then don't come home tonight.
14:16Fine.
14:17I wasn't planning to anyway.
14:19What the fuck?
14:21Why is my heart pounding like this?
14:23Like, if I really let her go, she'll disappear?
14:25The kid who's always followed me everywhere?
14:27The girl who put me at the center of her world?
14:29Believe me?
14:41Don't touch me.
14:43Let her go.
14:44She's doing this to get a reaction.
14:46Once it gets dark and she gets scared, she'll come crawling home to apologize.
14:57Lisa, what happened to you?
14:59I'm fine.
15:01It was an accident.
15:03It's my son's, isn't it?
15:04Tell me the truth.
15:05There's no way you'd leave the triplets without them doing something first.
15:10Oh, dear.
15:12This is all my fault.
15:13I promised your mother I'd take care of you like my own.
15:16But I never even realized something was going wrong between you.
15:21Listen.
15:22You don't have to leave.
15:23I will handle them.
15:24Okay?
15:25No.
15:26You've been the best mother I could have asked for.
15:29From the day you brought me home, you treated me like family.
15:31I'll never forget that.
15:33But I've made my choice.
15:35You know me.
15:36Once I decide, I don't go back.
15:44This is the Lockhart family heirloom.
15:46The Midnight Star.
15:48I want you to have it.
15:50As a gift for your new life.
15:54The Vampire Lord's family was thrilled when they heard your decision.
15:57They'll protect you.
15:59They'll always step up and take your side.
16:01You know, the old Lord still remembers the marriage pact he made with your father.
16:05Who knows?
16:06Maybe you might even end up marrying his heir.
16:12Either way, knowing the Vampire Lord will be the one taking care of you puts my heart at ease.
16:19Thank you for letting me go.
16:23Human or Vampire, you'll always be my daughter.
16:26I'm just going to miss you, my dear.
16:31She's leaving?
16:33Elisa?
16:34Where are you going?
16:39Isn't that the Midnight Star?
16:40That's been in our family for generations!
16:43Don't you get any ideas?
16:45So much for that big show of pride earlier.
16:47You came straight to mom, played the victim, and talked her into giving you our family heirloom.
16:51You are such a horrible, materialistic brat.
16:55She gave it to me!
16:56I never asked her!
16:57Enough with the lies.
16:58Elisa, we gave you a home.
17:00We've paid for everything your whole life.
17:02And somehow, it's still not enough for you.
17:04That's enough!
17:06You're all acting like fools.
17:08I gave Elisa the necklace.
17:10Mrs. Lockard, please don't be mad at them.
17:12They were only worried Elisa might be too good.
17:14I wasn't talking to you.
17:15Mind your own business.
17:16If I'd known all along how vicious you were, I'd never have let you into my home.
17:21Mom, don't talk to Amber like that.
17:23She was just looking out for us.
17:24At least she isn't using our family for money.
17:27I said enough, you idiots.
17:29Take that scheming girl with you and get out of my office.
17:31Now!
17:32Watch yourself, Elisa.
17:33We will never let an ungrateful little thief like you off the hook.
17:38Unbelievable.
17:39I raised three idiots.
17:41It's all right.
17:44It doesn't matter anymore.
17:45This is my last day at the day school.
17:47My last day is part of her work.
17:50Once I'm gone, they'll probably be relieved.
17:56Elisa!
17:56So this is how it is.
17:58You run crying to mom, feed her a bunch of lies about Amber, and get us in trouble?
18:03If you're mad at me, just say it to my face!
18:05You didn't have to go running to Mrs. Lockhart like a snitch!
18:09I didn't tell her anything.
18:11This is just absurd.
18:13How are you still lying?
18:29That's enough, Oliver.
18:32Right, that was not very nice, Oliver.
18:35Here, Elisa, take my hand.
18:44What the hell?
18:46Elisa, why are you pulling me in?
18:51Amber, hold on!
19:00I feel, I feel sick.
19:02It's so cold.
19:04It's okay.
19:05We've got you.
19:07Wait, Elisa's still in the water.
19:08Who cares?
19:09Amber tried to help, and Elisa attacked her!
19:13She can stay there and cool off.
19:15Boons don't deserve our help.
19:22They didn't just shove me in.
19:23They even saved someone else first.
19:25They've somehow forgotten I can't swim, too.
19:48They're safe now, Elisa.
19:49We know you're terrified of water.
19:51I swear, we'll never let this happen again.
19:57Of course, the people who promise to protect you are the ones who know exactly where to hurt you.
20:02I'm done.
20:03This time, I'm really done with all three of you.
20:09Wait, Jacob, where is Elisa?
20:11Is that blood?
20:13Shit.
20:15How did we forget?
20:16Elisa can't swim.
20:16She was drowning.
20:17Elisa!
20:33Elisa, you cleaned and bandaged everything.
20:35Nothing's broken, thank God.
20:38And you're free to go.
20:43Also, someone dropped off your new uniform.
20:46Your transfer is complete, so once the sun sets, you can go straight over to the night school for your
20:50first day.
21:02Elisa, this is Cain Trueblood.
21:04Trueblood?
21:05You're the Vampire Lord's son?
21:06I know this is unexpected.
21:08I've been waiting a long time to meet you.
21:10I'm glad you chose our side.
21:12By the way, what's your favorite color?
21:14I'm picking out a welcome gift for you.
21:18That's sweet, but you really don't have to.
21:20Hold on.
21:21Your voice is wrecked.
21:22Were you crying?
21:23Did someone upset you?
21:25Um, no, I'm...
21:26My father told me to give you some space first.
21:28But I can't pretend I'm not concerned right now.
21:31Listen.
21:32I'm picking you up myself tonight.
21:36I need to make sure you'll be okay.
21:38So I guess I gotta stay now.
21:40The Vampires seem very welcome.
21:43Maybe leaving was the right choice after all.
21:52Damn it!
21:53How could we forget?
21:55She almost died because of us!
21:57How is it our fault?
21:58She didn't even call for help!
22:01If she'd apologize to Amber in the first place, none of this would have happened.
22:06Enough!
22:07Quit trying to blame her.
22:08We crossed the line.
22:10Own up like a man.
22:11Let's go check on her.
22:20That's the night school uniform.
22:23Elisa?
22:24What does this mean?
22:25Where did you get that?
22:26No, no, no.
22:27Don't tell me.
22:28You're actually transferring to the night school?
22:32I don't need to explain myself.
22:34I get it.
22:35And it's not gonna work, Elisa.
22:37You think this little transfer stunt's going to scare us into apologizing?
22:41I don't care anymore.
22:42Just stop!
22:43What are you hiding from us?
22:45Hey!
22:46She needs rest.
22:47She's covered in cuts and bruises, and you're standing here yelling at her?
22:50Out!
22:51Just all of you!
22:55Did you see the way she looked at us, Jacob?
22:57I've never seen that from her before.
22:59I don't know.
23:00Something just feels off.
23:01Oh, come on.
23:02She's trying to scare us, that's all.
23:04Yeah.
23:04It's just another stunt for attention.
23:06She even found a night school uniform to sell it.
23:08Insane!
23:09Right.
23:10I guess she'll just cool off first, and come home at some point.
23:21Elisa, the uniform's perfect for you.
23:23White's totally your color.
23:25Yeah!
23:25You look like a princess!
23:27The most beautiful princess!
23:29Maybe one day, you'll wear a white wedding dress.
23:31For one of us.
23:33Jacob.
23:34Oliver.
23:35Nash.
23:36Today, I'm taking off the white uniform for good.
23:39And I'll never wear a white wedding dress for any of you.
23:44When night falls, I'll be reborn.
23:53Is that Elisa?
23:54Fuck.
23:56She's actually got the night school uniform on.
23:59She's actually lost her mind.
24:03Elisa, please just stop.
24:05Let me take you home.
24:07Let's go back and rest first, okay?
24:09I already told you, I'm not going home.
24:14Damn it.
24:15They still care about that bitch so much.
24:17One sad look, and they've forgotten everything.
24:22This is my fault, so go wait in the car and let me talk to her.
24:25I'll apologize a million times if that's what it takes.
24:28Amber, you're too kind.
24:30Elisa really could learn a thing or two from you.
24:35Elisa!
24:36Stop right there!
24:38You think putting on that uniform and limping around is going to make them like you again?
24:42Guess what?
24:42That's not happening because I'm ending this tonight.
24:45Because that's not enough.
24:46I need them to hate you.
24:48I need to know you'll never take my place again.
24:49Let go, Amber.
24:51You're insane.
24:52Oh my God, I was just waiting for you to go home.
24:54Oh my God!
24:55Why'd you push me?
24:59Amber!
25:07Please don't blame Elisa.
25:08I was just trying to talk with her, but she...
25:11It's all my fault.
25:12She was angry because of me.
25:14I deserve to be pushed.
25:15What the hell is wrong with you, Elisa?
25:17Have you not done enough already?
25:18You really had to throw her down a flight of stairs?
25:21If I told you she grabbed me and pulled us both down, would any of you believe me anyway?
25:27Why would we?
25:28Every word out of your mouth is a lie.
25:29You make me sick.
25:30Just once.
25:32Can you believe me just once?
25:34That's it!
25:34You keep hurting people and acting like you're the victim.
25:38Clearly, nothing we've said means anything to you.
25:40So now we're going to make it stick.
25:42I can't defend you anymore.
25:43You need to learn what consequences look like.
25:54Elisa, I'll always keep you warm, okay?
25:57Forever.
25:57Whenever.
26:05See, Elisa?
26:07Our hands fit perfectly, and I'm never letting you go.
26:09Even if you get sick of me.
26:24Don't cry.
26:26Split knuckle means nothing.
26:28Protecting you is my duty.
26:30I won't ever let you cry.
26:32The hands that warmed mine.
26:34The hands that taught me piano.
26:35The hands that wiped my tears.
26:37Tonight, those same hands struck me.
26:39It hurts so much, but it's nothing compared to the pain I feel inside.
26:43Elisa, we're doing this for your own good.
26:45We can't just sit back and watch you go down a dark path.
26:47When you're ready to admit what you did, call me.
26:49I'll come get you.
26:52My love, my care for you three was my only weakness.
26:55Tonight, every bit of that love bled out on these steps.
26:59Goodbye, Jacob, Oliver, Nash.
27:01Whatever we have is over.
27:04What happens next?
27:05Download Real Shorts.
27:07Bye-bye.
27:07Bye-bye.
27:07Bye-bye.
27:07Let's do it.
