00:07The equation was simple for Porto, a win would meet a place in the quarter-finals.
00:11And with lucky breaks like this, what could possibly go wrong?
00:15George Costa gave the Portuguese champions a half-time lead.
00:19Doubled soon after the break by the simplest of goals, but a thing of beauty nonetheless.
00:24Made by Jardel, finished by Capuccio.
00:28Mission accomplished? Maybe not.
00:31With 15 minutes remaining, Sparta Prague's Vratislav Lokvenc made a break for it.
00:35He had the pace and the beating of Vito Bayer.
00:39A draw for Sparta would keep their hopes alive.
00:42Enter Milan Foucault, a match winner in the 91st minute last week.
00:47Porto's heartbreaker in stoppage time this week.
00:50It's not over yet.
00:55Rightful favourites bang in form, but Barcelona fell behind to Hertha Berlin after just seven minutes at the Nou Camp.
01:02Ante Kovic supplied the cross for the Brazilian Alves to head home, and how he enjoyed his first Champions League
01:08goal.
01:08With just the five Dutchmen in the Barcelona line-up this time, it was left to two homeboys to restore
01:13order.
01:14First, Xavi's deflected shot put Barca quickly back on level terms,
01:18before a fine solo effort from Gabri made it 2-1 early in the second half.
01:23It was goal number 102 of Barcelona's season, with the Catalans on course to score four for the fourth successive
01:30home game.
01:31And all this after seemingly tactical bookings earned by Luis Figo and Abelardo to ensure they'll be around come quarter
01:38-finals kick-off time.
01:41In the end, Barcelona settled for three goals, with Hertha's Champions League exit finally confirmed by one of the Dutch
01:47exiles,
01:48Patrick Kluivert's sixth Champions League goal of the campaign.
01:51Top spot decided, and Porto can ensure their last eight place with a draw in Berlin next week.
