On a freezing night, little Maren brings her dying mother, Ella, to her father Toren’s mansion and begs him for help. Instead of protecting his family, Toren believes the lies of Kaylin, his late best friend’s widow, and showers Kaylin and her daughter Evelyn with the love Maren desperately needs. With nowhere left to turn, Maren meets Ron, the richest man in the city, and decides she no longer needs Toren as her father. Only after Maren and Ella walk away does Toren finally uncover the truth. Unfortunately for him, regret arrives after the family he neglected has already moved on. ReelShort
