Fantasy fam, this one has a proper magic system.
In Roaming the World Untamed, the title of Dragon Speaker isn't a rank you inherit. It's a binding. Rian is secretly raised by the Holy Dragon Aurelian — the realm's last Dragon Speaker — making him the only person alive who can call a dragon down.
That's why the seat matters. The Sovereign names him. Starspeaker Aether contests it, because a title you must prove is a title someone else can take. Then the Undead Legion invades, led by a general no ordinary force can stop.
So Rian does the only thing his bloodline allows: he summons Aurelian.
✨ What worked for me:
The Speaker system is explained, not hand-waved.
Aurelian is a character, not a weapon.
✨ Bottom line: real worldbuilding, real stakes.
favorite dragon in a short drama — and why is it Aurelian? 🐺🧛
