00:00Within minutes, they'd created an entire childhood crush story for her.
00:03The office became unusually cheerful.
00:05Oh my god, stop making things up.
00:08She gave him a playful glare, but the smug smile in her eyes gave her away.
00:11I didn't hear anything they said after that.
00:13I just stared at the search results on my phone.
00:16My mother used to work as a housekeeper for Vanessa's family.
00:18In high school, Vanessa had my mother steal my diary about my crush.
00:22Then Vanessa plastered the pages all over school and posted them online.
00:26The whole school saw it and laughed at me.
00:28Vanessa laughed the loudest.
00:30Seriously, Sabrina?
00:31You think guys would want a girl your size?
00:33I hated her, but there was nothing I could do.
00:36So I stole Vanessa's pictures and name and started using them online.
00:39Got destroyed in an online game.
00:41I turned on my mic and told everyone my name was Vanessa Blake.
00:44Got into it with some stranger who threatened to track me down.
00:47I immediately told him my name was Vanessa Blake.
00:50Basically, whenever I caused trouble online, I said my name was Vanessa.
00:53I secretly hoped someone would track Vanessa down one day and beat the shit out of her.
00:57But before that ever happened, I met Callan.
01:00Callan was well-mannered, handsome, and extremely generous whenever I needed money.
01:05His only flaw was too horny.
01:07Looking at him now, so cold and composed, no one would guess what he was like in private.
01:12Unfortunately, I knew.
01:13After the first few months of our online relationship, he was flirting with me over the phone almost
01:18every night.
01:18His voice was low, husky, and teasing.
01:21You're quiet again.
01:22Are you thinking about what my hands are doing right now?
01:25Or wishing they were somewhere else?
01:27He said the filthiest things without ever repeating himself.
01:30I'd be blushing like crazy before finally snapping.
01:33God, you're shameless.
01:35He never got angry.
01:36He'd just laugh softly and coax me until Callan realized something wasn't right.
01:40He insisted that we finally meet in person.
01:42That was when I suddenly remembered something very important.
01:45I'd been pretending to be Vanessa all along.
01:47I frantically scrolled through our old messages.
01:50My name's Vanessa.
01:51My heart sank.
