01:00Triple world champion Tasoev scored big, sending his team into the lead.

01:14Tasoev didn't disappoint, throwing for Ipon a second time to put his team into their first ever mixed team final.
01:26In the final, tensions were high, with the mixed team gold medal on the line.
01:36In the first contest, a yuko was enough for Tanaka Shiho to push Japan into an early lead.
01:41Murao Sanchira was up next, and continued the momentum, 2-0 to Japan.
01:50Mao Arai continued the trend, to take Japan to 3-0.
01:59But Tamerlan Bashaev flipped the script to earn a point back for the Russian Federation.
02:06But Amori Akari clinched the title with her win, claiming an eighth team gold for Japan.
