00:00:03Incoming aircraft! Incoming aircraft! This is not a drill!
00:00:15I can move on! I can push it for me!
00:00:19I can push everything!
00:00:23Enemy aircraft incoming! This is not a drill!
00:00:27Move, Captain Maplock's in! If you can't help, get the hell out of the way!
00:00:33Where the hell did they come from?
00:00:37They're inside our defensive perimeter!
00:00:41We've lost half our aircraft!
00:01:10I can't get it!
00:01:11I can't get it!
00:01:11These old planes need a little help, don't force the machine, feel it!
00:01:28We lost Runway 2, Falcon Squadron is down.
00:01:35Was that the old museum jet?
00:01:38Who the hell is flying that thing?
00:01:42He is engaging the enemy.
00:01:53They are following him down into the gorge.
00:01:58He has got one in his sight.
00:02:00Direct hit.
00:02:01One bogey down.
00:02:03The enemy can't handle the gorge.
00:02:05Five more bogeys down.
00:02:09They are retreating.
00:02:10He did it.
00:02:23Find that phantom pilot.
00:02:28Yesterday's attack was just the beginning.
00:02:30Three days ago, we discovered one of the enemy's old bases is actually about to go nuclear.
00:02:35If it becomes operational, the war is lost.
00:02:39Millions will die.
00:02:41There is a near impossible route to the facility.
00:02:44But none of our pilots can complete the course.
00:02:48The phantom pilot could.
00:02:50Which is why we are holding the Skyforge trials.
00:02:53Immediately.
00:02:54Any qualified military personnel may apply.
00:02:56Whoever wins will lead the mission.
00:03:06Whatever you're thinking, don't.
00:03:11You don't even know what I'm thinking.
00:03:13You're thinking about signing up for that stupid trial that will get you killed.
00:03:17I'm as good of a pilot as anyone here.
00:03:18Why shouldn't I sign up?
00:03:20Because I don't want to lose you.
00:03:23I've spent my whole life being held back because of who my father was.
00:03:26Working jobs I'm overqualified for.
00:03:28Pretending I'm all alone.
00:03:30I'm tired of it.
00:03:30My dad is never going to approve this.
00:03:33Good thing I'm not asking him.
00:03:42Could one of them be the phantom pilot?
00:03:51How many people signed up?
00:03:53Doesn't matter.
00:03:55I'm going to crush every single one of them.
00:03:58No way.
00:03:59The janitor?
00:04:00What's he going to fly?
00:04:01His mop bucket?
00:04:01Fill it out.
00:04:07Oops.
00:04:09You done?
00:04:10You seriously think you're pilot material?
00:04:12I seriously think you're in my way.
00:04:14No way will I ever fly beside a Peterson.
00:04:17Your traitor dad got a lot of people killed.
00:04:19Call him that again.
00:04:24Your daddy was a traitor!
00:04:32What the hell is this?
00:04:37What the hell are you doing?
00:04:40Signing up.
00:04:41The hell you are!
00:04:43What's your problem?
00:04:45All my life you've been holding me back.
00:04:47No, I've been keeping you alive.
00:04:48All that's waiting for you up there is death.
00:04:51I can fly.
00:04:52My father taught me.
00:04:53Your father taught you how to fly a crop dester.
00:04:56This isn't a farm.
00:04:57This is a war.
00:04:59My father was the greatest pilot who ever lived and...
00:05:01Your father was my friend.
00:05:04I flew with him for years.
00:05:07And yes, he was the best I ever saw.
00:05:09But even that wasn't enough to keep him alive.
00:05:11Being a pilot isn't glory.
00:05:13It's funerals.
00:05:15My dad wanted me to be a pilot.
00:05:17Your dad wanted you to live.
00:05:19Which is why I can't let you...
00:05:20There you are.
00:05:24I just reviewed Peterson's application.
00:05:27He's not ready.
00:05:28That's what the trials are for.
00:05:30You don't understand.
00:05:32I've made up my mind.
00:05:34Report to the training facility at 0600.
00:05:37You're officially in the Skyforge.
00:05:39Trials.
00:05:47Welcome to Skyforge.
00:05:50Over the next several days,
00:05:51we tested physically, mentally, and emotionally.
00:05:55Most of you will fail.
00:05:58Before we begin,
00:05:59I'd like to recognize someone
00:06:00who's been one of Skyforge's fiercest allies
00:06:02on Capitol Hill.
00:06:03Please welcome Senator Voss.
00:06:06Ladies and gentlemen,
00:06:07it's an honor to watch our nation's finest at work.
00:06:11The senator is Apex's dad.
00:06:13That's why he gets away
00:06:14with being such a colossal asshole all the time.
00:06:21Let's get started.
00:06:23Modern fighter pilots can experience
00:06:24up to 10 times the force of gravity
00:06:26during combat.
00:06:27This test determines
00:06:28whether your body can survive that pressure
00:06:30or whether you black out and die.
00:06:49Jeez.
00:06:50Pilot fully unconscious.
00:06:51Yes.
00:06:596.7 G's.
00:07:01Move.
00:07:158.9 G's.
00:07:21Who's next?
00:07:22Mop bucket?
00:07:23Peterson.
00:07:24You're up.
00:07:28When he passes out,
00:07:30I'm drawing a dick on his face.
00:07:49I can't.
00:07:50Be right.
00:07:51Could he be the phantom pilot?
00:07:59Hack the system.
00:08:00Make him look pathetic.
00:08:10I don't, I don't understand.
00:08:12What's wrong?
00:08:14According to the raw telemetry,
00:08:15Peterson only got up to 4.3 G's.
00:08:19I guess he isn't the one.
00:08:214.3?
00:08:22My grandma can pull 4.3.
00:08:25This bitch can barely handle
00:08:26driving the speed limit.
00:08:27How's he gonna handle a plane?
00:08:29That doesn't make any sense.
00:08:31Looks pretty simple to me.
00:08:38The good news is
00:08:39you won't even get a chance
00:08:40to be a traitor
00:08:41like your daddy
00:08:42because you're never gonna fly.
00:08:44Sir,
00:08:45I hacked the numbers
00:08:46but he got up to over 10 G's.
00:08:49Who is this guy?
00:08:51James Peterson's kid.
00:08:53If he's even half the pilot
00:08:54his father was,
00:08:55then he's good enough
00:08:56to get in my way.
00:09:00Dad,
00:09:02you think the score was wrong.
00:09:04I didn't say that.
00:09:06You didn't have to.
00:09:08Something happened in that machine.
00:09:11What?
00:09:12I don't know yet.
00:09:19Next trial.
00:09:21The water survival course.
00:09:29Scared mop bucket?
00:09:31It's because
00:09:32little mop bucket
00:09:33can't swim.
00:09:34What a joke.
00:09:36Mitch!
00:09:37You don't have to do this!
00:09:39Oh, isn't that cute?
00:09:40Is that your girlfriend?
00:09:41Or your mommy?
00:09:45When pilots crash over water,
00:09:47they don't die from impact.
00:09:48They die
00:09:49because they panic.
00:09:50When the buzzer sounds,
00:09:52this chamber will flood.
00:09:53You must free yourselves
00:09:54and escape.
00:09:55Anyone still inside
00:09:56when the timer expires,
00:09:58fail.
00:09:58Why do they all look so nervous?
00:10:00I was doing harder trials
00:10:01when I was a kid.
00:10:07You ready?
00:10:09I was born ready.
00:10:26Easy.
00:10:29Good luck.
00:10:32Easy.
00:10:36Easy.
00:10:48This is insane.
00:10:51Combat doesn't care.
00:10:54Don't panic.
00:10:56You're always in control.
00:11:08Someone's coming up!
00:11:09Already?
00:11:10That's impossible!
00:11:12It's the phantom pilot.
00:11:19Just one foot away.
00:11:28He's gonna die.
00:11:32What's he doing?
00:11:36He's going back.
00:11:37Okay.
00:11:37I don't know.
00:12:15Dad, Mitch isn't up yet.
00:12:23Where is he?
00:12:57I don't know.
00:13:01Sky Forge is about results.
00:13:05Right now, Peterson results are terrible.
00:13:09Sir, Peterson saved my life.
00:13:14Dad, you know Mitch's?
00:13:15The senator's right. Mitch can't handle this mission.
00:13:18I'm not letting him move on to the final round.
00:13:21Dad, that will crush him!
00:13:22This isn't about feelings, little girl.
00:13:25This is about finding the best pilot.
00:13:28I couldn't agree more.
00:13:30You know, Tom, I've heard you say for years that testing only shows you so much.
00:13:34What a pilot does when lives are on the line reveals who he truly is.
00:13:39Get cleaned up and report at 0600.
00:13:41All of you, including you, Peterson.
00:13:59Today's trial is simple rules.
00:14:00Last pilot standing wins.
00:14:01Pilots, begin.
00:14:03Make sure Derek wins.
00:14:10Ooh, somebody got an upgrade.
00:14:12Let's play.
00:14:17Missile! Missile!
00:14:20That was quick.
00:14:23What the?
00:14:26Somebody's messing with the controls.
00:14:32Your son is putting on a clinic, Senator.
00:14:34Whatever makes the team stronger, Admiral.
00:14:39Something feels off.
00:14:41These guys aren't flying badly.
00:14:42They're handicapped.
00:14:59Peterson's running.
00:15:01Guess the janitor finally got scared.
00:15:08Surprise, guess who's on your tail.
00:15:16What?
00:15:17How do you do that so fast?
00:15:20Can't avoid me anymore, mob bucket.
00:15:29Here we go.
00:15:33Come on, Mitch.
00:15:41Sometimes the only way to fight
00:15:42is to stop moving.
00:15:47Fine.
00:15:49You want to fight, Apex?
00:15:54That idiot is falling!
00:15:58Did he lose power?
00:16:01No.
00:16:10Where is he?
00:16:11Where is he?
00:16:16Impossible.
00:16:17Game over.
00:16:21Warning, missile locked.
00:16:23Warning, missile locked.
00:16:25No!
00:16:26There's no way!
00:16:31Mitch takes out Apex and takes the lead.
00:16:33I've seen that maneuver before.
00:16:34During the attack.
00:16:35The museum jet.
00:16:37The phantom pilot.
00:16:41Mitch.
00:16:42Well, I think we've finally found our pilot.
00:16:44Or our cheater.
00:16:48Run the telemetry.
00:16:51Telemetry wrong.
00:16:52Excuse me?
00:16:53Something isn't right.
00:16:55Apex aircraft suddenly lost responsivatives.
00:16:57Peterson's aircraft suddenly gained it.
00:16:59The timing is awfully convenient.
00:17:01That's ridiculous.
00:17:02Is it?
00:17:04Pull the data.
00:17:12What?
00:17:13Control responses were altered.
00:17:15Somebody tankered with the trial?
00:17:17This...
00:17:18This can't be.
00:17:20Where are you going?
00:17:21My base has been compromised.
00:17:22I'm gonna get to the bottom of it.
00:17:24You hear that?
00:17:25In the meantime,
00:17:26power reverends to me.
00:17:28I'm taking over this base!
00:17:33What?
00:17:34No!
00:17:35You can't do that!
00:17:36The hell I can't.
00:17:37Mitch Peterson has worked with the enemy
00:17:39to infiltrate these trials
00:17:42and this base.
00:17:44Dad!
00:17:45Do something!
00:17:46Yeah, go ahead.
00:17:47Do something.
00:17:48There's already been a breach on your base.
00:17:51Why don't you add to it
00:17:52by disobeying the head
00:17:53of the Naval Intelligence Committee?
00:17:55Yeah, I thought so.
00:17:56You air jockeys are all alike.
00:17:58Cowards.
00:18:01Send out the drones.
00:18:03Take out the traitor.
00:18:04No!
00:18:05You can't do that!
00:18:10Mitch!
00:18:11They're coming for you.
00:18:12They're coming for...
00:18:13Wait, what?
00:18:14Ava!
00:18:15What is going on?
00:18:23Nobody flies like that!
00:18:25Exactly.
00:18:26Maybe because nobody could.
00:18:27He won because he's better than all of you.
00:18:30Or because he cheated.
00:18:31Shoot him out of the sky!
00:18:47What the hell?
00:18:49What is going on?
00:18:50Why are there drones in the air?
00:18:57You can't execute him without a trial!
00:19:00This is his trial.
00:19:02Either he is actually good enough
00:19:04to beat these two drones
00:19:05or he's a cheater and a traitor.
00:19:09Ethan, attack.
00:19:26They're locking onto me!
00:19:29Mitch!
00:19:30Eject!
00:19:31They're going to attack you!
00:19:35Sure, Mitch.
00:19:36Eject!
00:19:36That will confirm that you cheated before
00:19:39or face down the drones
00:19:41and prove you really are that good.
00:19:43Those are MQ-9 reppers!
00:19:45No pilot could possibly beat them in a dogfight!
00:19:48No pilot could beat my son either
00:19:49and he seemed to do it.
00:19:51So either he's a flying god
00:19:52or a dirty cheater about to be exposed.
00:19:57Just eject, Mitch!
00:20:02And be branded a traitor?
00:20:04They did that to my father.
00:20:06They won't do that to me.
00:20:12Drones are nearly within target range.
00:20:14See?
00:20:16What did I tell you?
00:20:18A pathetic cheater.
00:20:21Please, Mitch!
00:20:22Just eject!
00:20:23You can't win!
00:20:24You can't win!
00:20:29They're faster than you
00:20:30and there's two of them.
00:20:37You got your bell rung up there.
00:20:39What was I supposed to do, Dad?
00:20:41His plane was so much faster than mine!
00:20:44Son, always remember
00:20:47anything can be a weakness,
00:20:48even a strength.
00:20:52There's two of them.
00:21:00He's flying right at the drone.
00:21:08Drones will fire in five.
00:21:10Idiot boy.
00:21:11That thing will blow you out of the sky.
00:21:14No.
00:21:15No.
00:21:18No.
00:21:18No.
00:21:19No.
00:21:20No.
00:21:20No.
00:21:21No.
00:21:23No.
00:21:23No.
00:21:25The skies are mine.
00:21:32Oh my god.
00:21:35It's him.
00:21:38The Phantom Pilot.
00:21:41This changes nothing.
00:21:43Someone manipulated the trial.
00:21:44It had to be Peterson.
00:21:45Why?
00:21:46Because he beat your precious son?
00:21:49The only way I lose is if someone cheats.
00:21:51The only way you win is if Daddy helps you.
00:21:56Enough!
00:21:57Guards!
00:21:58The second Mitch Peterson lands,
00:21:59take him into custody!
00:22:04And if he resists,
00:22:07shoot him.
00:22:17That can't be good.
00:22:30Mitch Peterson.
00:22:31By my rights as the chair of the Congressional Naval Intelligence Committee,
00:22:34I'm placing you under arrest for treason.
00:22:36You have no proof!
00:22:37Two days ago,
00:22:38he was a janitor.
00:22:39No combat training.
00:22:40No flight record.
00:22:41No military aviation experience.
00:22:43Yet somehow,
00:22:44he defeats the most elite pilots in the country.
00:22:48My aircraft stopped responding
00:22:49right before he made his move.
00:22:51That's the only way he was able to get a read on me.
00:22:54You could have killed me!
00:22:57Besides,
00:22:58being a traitor
00:22:59runs in his family.
00:23:01Just look at who his father was.
00:23:04Don't talk about my father.
00:23:11James Peterson,
00:23:12the most infamous traitor in Navy history.
00:23:16His father betrayed this country.
00:23:22There was never any proof,
00:23:24just accusations.
00:23:25His father was stripped of rank,
00:23:28disgraced,
00:23:29erased.
00:23:34Most pilots spend all their time
00:23:35trying to prove how good they are.
00:23:38The best pilots never need to.
00:23:40Keep your cards close to your feel.
00:23:42Don't ever give up your position
00:23:44until you absolutely have to.
00:23:45Why?
00:23:49Because the second people know what you can do,
00:23:52they start figuring out how to stop you.
00:23:56Well, nothing to say for yourself?
00:23:59Stupid.
00:24:00Just like your daddy.
00:24:03Take my father's name out of your mouth.
00:24:06Did you see that?
00:24:07He's assaulting me!
00:24:08Shoot him!
00:24:09Are you deaf?
00:24:11Shoot him!
00:24:13Stop!
00:24:21Sorry, I'm late.
00:24:22But I had to confirm
00:24:23that there was in fact
00:24:24a hack of our systems.
00:24:25The evidence was quite clear.
00:24:27I agree.
00:24:30My cyber team reviewed the data,
00:24:33and there was a breach
00:24:34of our security systems.
00:24:38But it happened during the trial,
00:24:40which means Mitchell Peterson
00:24:42could not have been responsible.
00:24:44So that's it?
00:24:45He's cleared?
00:24:46Not exactly.
00:24:50Peterson is no longer a suspect,
00:24:53but the trial itself
00:24:55was still compromised.
00:24:57What does that mean?
00:24:59It means we can't trust
00:25:01what you did up there.
00:25:03It also means that this contest
00:25:05will be determined
00:25:06in the final trial.
00:25:07The island exercise.
00:25:13You all think you're the best,
00:25:15so go on and prove it.
00:25:23Time for me to prove
00:25:24my superiority once and for all.
00:25:26Pretty sure we all
00:25:27watched Mitch smoke you.
00:25:30You're the one about to get smoked,
00:25:31you little bitch.
00:25:36Enough.
00:25:42Leadership trial begins now.
00:25:45The island exercise.
00:25:46Your objective is simple.
00:25:48Capture the island,
00:25:50destroy enemy defenses,
00:25:52protect your teammates.
00:25:53This isn't about flying.
00:25:55It's about leadership.
00:26:01Those are the strongest pilots
00:26:03at Skyforge.
00:26:07Those are not.
00:26:12Damn!
00:26:14Should we just declare our team
00:26:16the winners now?
00:26:17Looks like your fake win streak
00:26:18ends now, janitor.
00:26:20How is this fair?
00:26:22Come on, dad.
00:26:24Mitch needs to earn back
00:26:25the trust of his fellow pilots.
00:26:26I can't do that for him.
00:26:28He does it in the air.
00:26:29I don't care how stacked
00:26:30the bet is,
00:26:31make sure my son wins this one.
00:26:33Understood?
00:26:34Already working on it.
00:26:38Looks like everybody
00:26:39expects us to lose.
00:26:42Let's disappoint them.
00:26:46Get to the hangar!
00:26:49Get to the hangar!
00:26:51Get to the hangar!
00:26:53Get to the hangar!
00:27:17The exercise begins the moment you enter the simulation
00:27:22Capture the objective, protect your team
00:27:24Whoever controls the island wins
00:27:28Good luck
00:27:35Stay on me, we're taking the direct route
00:27:40Mitch, what are you doing? The island's the other way
00:27:44Trust me
00:27:48But nobody attacks from there
00:27:50Exactly
00:27:55Looks like Cheater Boy's already lost
00:28:01Here we go
00:28:09Mission first, exactly what leaders do
00:28:16Interesting
00:28:20We're not going to make it
00:28:21We are, just stay focused
00:28:34We're losing people
00:28:36Then fly better
00:28:42He's burning through his entire team
00:28:44So, his team is winning
00:28:47For now
00:28:50Mitch, we're going to crash
00:28:51Steady, steady, good
00:28:55Smoke in the air
00:28:57We're dead
00:28:58Mitch, we need to invade
00:28:59Negative, stay together
00:29:01We're done
00:29:02Almost there
00:29:04Trust me
00:29:05We gotta get clear
00:29:06Missile impact in 5, 4
00:29:11What is he doing?
00:29:13He's leading his entire team to their deaths
00:29:16Is he?
00:29:17Mitch, we're dead
00:29:18Not yet
00:29:19Almost there
00:29:20Impact in 3, 2
00:29:25One thing you gotta remember, son
00:29:27Up there, the difference between success and failure is
00:29:30A blink
00:29:32Never blink
00:29:34One
00:29:36Blink now
00:29:42Holy shit
00:29:43How do you know?
00:29:45We move as a team
00:29:46We win as a team
00:29:47Weapons free
00:29:54They're following him
00:29:55He's not just a great pilot
00:29:57He's a great leader
00:30:02Did we do it?
00:30:03Oh, we did it!
00:30:17We actually pulled it off
00:30:22Well, I think we all know what happened up there
00:30:25Congratulations, Peterson
00:30:31I think it's safe to say we know who will be leading the team
00:30:34My son
00:30:38Peterson
00:30:39Your team has been disqualified
00:30:43Rules are rules, Captain
00:30:46Seriously?
00:30:47Very
00:30:47Pull up the replay
00:31:02That's it?
00:31:03The rules are clear
00:31:04No pilot may leave the authorized battle area
00:31:07Are you kidding me?
00:31:08Unfortunately, he's not
00:31:12Mitchell Peterson
00:31:13Your team is disqualified
00:31:17That's bullshit!
00:31:18We didn't even see the warning
00:31:20They completed the mission
00:31:21With every pilot alive
00:31:22Rules are rules
00:31:29Conference room
00:31:31Now
00:31:33We received updated intelligence 30 minutes ago
00:31:36The target is ahead of schedule
00:31:40If the reports are accurate
00:31:42The facility could become operation within days
00:31:48I thought we had weeks
00:31:49We all did
00:31:51But the mission launch has to be moved up
00:31:54You now have 12 hours
00:32:02That's impossible
00:32:03We're still dealing with some bullshit controversy with our flight team
00:32:07Doesn't matter
00:32:08The order came directly from Washington
00:32:12I don't care who won the simulation
00:32:14I don't care who lost
00:32:15I need a strike team assembled immediately
00:32:18Pick whoever you need
00:32:20But there's one last thing
00:32:24The mission will be in a dead zone
00:32:31There's been one final trial added
00:32:33This attack will happen at night
00:32:35In a dead zone
00:32:36So we need to see how you perform with no GPS
00:32:40And no satellite guidance
00:32:41And only the most basic instrumentation
00:32:44You will navigate this course
00:32:46You nothing but your training
00:32:47Whoever wins this
00:32:49Leads the mission
00:32:53Good luck
00:32:54Go!
00:32:59This is our last chance
00:33:00Take Peterson out
00:33:02Make sure he dies
00:33:27What the hell?
00:33:33Come on
00:33:35Why is it taking me this way?
00:33:40Let's see you navigate that
00:33:50The course isn't wrong
00:33:52My instruments are
00:33:59The instruments are wrong
00:34:03You know why I love flying at night?
00:34:07Because the sky always tells you where to go
00:34:11So does the ground
00:34:13The sky and the earth
00:34:14Always show you the best way to fly
00:34:20Sometimes they're the only navigation you need
00:34:26Did Peterson just turn off his nav system?
00:34:28What the hell is he doing?
00:34:30Without that he'll fly right into a mountain
00:34:32Or maybe he knows exactly where to go
00:34:48Come on dad
00:34:49Show me the way
00:34:55Mitch is moving up
00:34:57That's impossible
00:35:08That's impossible
00:35:08Nobody's catching me
00:35:11What the?
00:35:22Come on
00:35:23Look at his line
00:35:24He's not following the route
00:35:26He's reading the terrain
00:35:27Just like his father
00:35:29How?
00:35:30He shouldn't even know where he is
00:35:31And yet he does
00:35:34No
00:35:55On your left
00:35:57On your left
00:36:05Are you kidding me?
00:36:06Are you kidding me?
00:36:17Thanks dad
00:36:22Set up a call with Kato
00:36:24Immediate we have a problem
00:36:25Well any other last minute objections?
00:36:31I didn't think so
00:36:33Peterson
00:36:34He's our pilot
00:36:40The pilots chosen for this strike
00:36:42Will deploy almost immediately
00:36:44For the most dangerous mission
00:36:46In modern military history
00:36:47The strike team will be
00:36:50Apex
00:36:52Gunner
00:36:56Hellcat
00:36:58Maestro
00:37:01Benny
00:37:02New call sign
00:37:04Rocket
00:37:04Holy shit
00:37:11And Mitchell Peterson
00:37:16And finally
00:37:18The leader of this mission
00:37:22Mitchell Peterson
00:37:29About damn time
00:37:31Really?
00:37:32He gets lucky a few times
00:37:34And now we're being led into battle
00:37:35By call sign Mop Bucket
00:37:38One correction
00:37:51Call sign Mop Bucket
00:37:53Is officially retired
00:37:55Mitchell Peterson
00:37:57Your call sign is now
00:37:59Phantom
00:38:04Definitely cooler than Mop Bucket
00:38:06Mop Bucket
00:38:12Dismissed
00:38:18Dismissed
00:38:19You sound disappointed
00:38:20Proving you're a great pilot is easy
00:38:23Leading people into battle
00:38:24That's where the real test begins
00:38:27People are gonna follow you now
00:38:28Some of them won't come home
00:38:30Get some rest phantom
00:38:31Mission begins tomorrow
00:38:41You assured me this problem was buried 15 years ago
00:38:44Explained why James Peterson's son is now leading the strike boom
00:38:47Every report I receive contains the same name
00:38:49Peterson, Peterson, Peterson
00:38:51Mitch Peterson is one pilot
00:38:52His father was one pilot too
00:38:54And look how much trouble he caused
00:38:56James Peterson discovered everything
00:38:58The weapons contracts, offshore accounts, the payments, the facility
00:39:01He threatened to expose us
00:39:02Yes
00:39:02So I gave him a different story
00:39:04A spy
00:39:07A traitor
00:39:10An enemy of his own country
00:39:14After that, he stopped being a problem
00:39:17Just because you killed James Peterson
00:39:19It doesn't mean our problems are over
00:39:22If the Navy destroys the facility without realizing what it really is
00:39:25We're safe
00:39:26But if Mitch Peterson reaches it first
00:39:29He'll learn exactly what happened to his father
00:39:33Mitchell Peterson cannot be allowed to succeed
00:39:49Why did you bring me here?
00:39:55My dad's locker
00:39:59Nobody's touched it in 15 years
00:40:06I think he'd want you to have it
00:40:09You really flew with him?
00:40:11Best pilot I ever knew
00:40:32What the hell?
00:40:36Baby
00:40:37My dad
00:40:38My dad
00:40:39Let me see
00:40:39Hello
00:40:42This time
00:40:49What is this?
00:40:51Voss was at the meeting again.
00:40:53Didn't belong there.
00:40:55Claimed he was representing oversight.
00:40:57I don't buy it.
00:41:05Followed the money.
00:41:06The numbers don't add up.
00:41:08Someone's lying.
00:41:14This isn't a flight log.
00:41:16It's an investigation.
00:41:19I finally started asking questions today and people got nervous.
00:41:23Too nervous.
00:41:28I don't have proof yet.
00:41:29But I know I'm close.
00:41:32Voss is hiding something.
00:41:33Something big.
00:41:36If something happens to me,
00:41:38don't trust Voss.
00:41:51You look like you're planning a crime.
00:41:54Definitely a crime.
00:42:02What's this?
00:42:03My dad's.
00:42:04I found it hidden in his old locker.
00:42:06My whole life I thought my father was a traitor.
00:42:08The whole world did.
00:42:10But maybe someone just made it look that way.
00:42:13Wait.
00:42:14What?
00:42:15Have you noticed this?
00:42:17I know these numbers.
00:42:19They're storage unit numbers.
00:42:21The ones on base?
00:42:23Not just on the base.
00:42:25In the classified section.
00:42:27The section nobody's allowed into?
00:42:30Exactly.
00:42:32Why are you smiling?
00:42:33Because I think we're about to do something really stupid.
00:42:48Let's see what my dad was hiding.
00:43:05My dad's?
00:43:14This all looks like a regular storage unit.
00:43:16Wait.
00:43:17Wait.
00:43:20What?
00:43:22It's my dad.
00:43:24With Senator Voss.
00:43:27Why would they be together?
00:43:28And why would they be at the facility we're going to destroy?
00:43:34Voss knew my father.
00:43:36Not just knew him.
00:43:37They were friends.
00:43:38Then why spend 20 years calling him a traitor?
00:43:44Attention Skyforge pilots.
00:43:46The mission has been pushed forward.
00:43:48Report immediately to the tarmac.
00:43:50Launch will commence in 15 minutes.
00:44:01This is it.
00:44:02The target is 60 miles inside enemy territory.
00:44:06Destroy the facility.
00:44:07Then come home.
00:44:09Whatever's in those files.
00:44:11It's bigger than we thought.
00:44:13Then I'm going to bring it back.
00:44:21Pilots to your aircraft.
00:44:23One moment.
00:44:26Before this mission begins,
00:44:28there's something everyone deserves to see.
00:44:39What the hell?
00:44:41That's Peterson.
00:44:43I knew it.
00:44:50Just now,
00:44:51Mitchell Peterson
00:44:52illegally entered
00:44:53a secure military facility.
00:44:57He stole classified information.
00:45:00That's not what happened.
00:45:02Silence.
00:45:04You want to know what I see?
00:45:05I see a man following
00:45:07in his father's footsteps.
00:45:09He's lying!
00:45:11Years ago,
00:45:12James Peterson
00:45:13betrayed this country.
00:45:14Now his son
00:45:15has done the same.
00:45:21Guess it runs in the family.
00:45:25You don't know
00:45:26what you're talking about.
00:45:28I know exactly
00:45:29what I'm talking about.
00:45:31Senator!
00:45:31The evidence
00:45:32speaks for itself.
00:45:37Security.
00:45:41Mitchell Peterson,
00:45:43you are under arrest.
00:45:49The mission proceeds
00:45:51as planned.
00:45:52Congratulations,
00:45:53Lieutenant Voss.
00:45:54You're squad leader now.
00:45:58Do not fail us.
00:46:12Hello, Mitch.
00:46:13You set me up.
00:46:15Of course I did.
00:46:17Why?
00:46:18Because you're
00:46:19becoming a problem.
00:46:23This is about
00:46:24my father.
00:46:27Your father
00:46:28was a very talented pilot.
00:46:29He wasn't a traitor.
00:46:31No.
00:46:33Then why did you...
00:46:35because James Peterson
00:46:36couldn't leave
00:46:36well enough flesh.
00:46:37He saw things
00:46:38he wasn't supposed to see,
00:46:40asked questions
00:46:40he wasn't supposed to ask.
00:46:45You had him killed?
00:46:47Your father stumbled
00:46:48into something much bigger
00:46:49than either of us.
00:46:51The difference is...
00:46:53James actually got close.
00:46:55Close to what?
00:46:56Does it matter?
00:46:57You're sitting in a jail cell.
00:46:59The mission is leaving
00:47:00without you.
00:47:01And tomorrow,
00:47:02everyone will know
00:47:03Mitchell Peterson
00:47:04is a criminal.
00:47:05Just like his father.
00:47:09My father was a hero.
00:47:11Too bad no one
00:47:12will ever know.
00:47:14Look at the time.
00:47:15Your replacement
00:47:16should be boarding
00:47:17his aircraft by now.
00:47:20Goodbye, Mitch.
00:47:26I thought he'd never leave.
00:47:29Ready to break out?
00:47:30You stole the keys?
00:47:33Borrowed.
00:47:38Come on.
00:47:39We don't have much time.
00:47:46The mission's already gone.
00:47:48They're about to take off,
00:47:49but you can catch up.
00:47:54No, it's too late.
00:47:58Listen to me.
00:48:00Your father spent 15 years
00:48:01being remembered
00:48:02as a traitor.
00:48:03Are you really gonna let
00:48:04Vox do the same thing to you?
00:48:07The only way to clear
00:48:08your name
00:48:09is to find out
00:48:10what Vox was hiding.
00:48:13And that facility
00:48:14is the only place
00:48:15left to do it.
00:48:21You know, helping me
00:48:22makes you an accessory, right?
00:48:24Pretty sure I crossed that line
00:48:25when I broke you out of prison.
00:48:31I'll figure it out of prison.
00:48:33What about you?
00:48:34I'll figure something out.
00:48:37What the hell do you think
00:48:38you're doing?
00:48:42Captain Decker.
00:48:44Dad,
00:48:45we can explain.
00:48:47Stop.
00:48:47I know exactly what you're doing.
00:48:55You'll need these.
00:48:57The squad launched
00:48:58ten minutes ago.
00:48:59You're already behind.
00:49:00You're letting me go?
00:49:01Your father once told me
00:49:02sometimes doing the right thing
00:49:03meaning
00:49:04means breaking the rules.
00:49:07Don't make me regret this.
00:49:26Let's go.
00:49:49Apex, we've got company.
00:49:51Enemy?
00:49:53Not exactly.
00:49:56Miss me?
00:50:02Mitch!
00:50:04How the hell are you here?
00:50:06Aren't you supposed
00:50:07to be in jail?
00:50:08Long story.
00:50:09No!
00:50:10Shoot that bastard down!
00:50:12He's a traitor
00:50:12and a...
00:50:15Cutting him out
00:50:15of the group chat.
00:50:17Listen,
00:50:18I don't have much time.
00:50:20Senator Voss framed my father
00:50:21and now he's framing me.
00:50:28That's a hell of an opening.
00:50:30I found my dad's old flight log.
00:50:32The evidence led Ava and me
00:50:34to a classified archive.
00:50:36The one you got arrested for?
00:50:38Yeah.
00:50:38Because Voss didn't want anyone
00:50:40finding one what was inside.
00:50:42You hear yourself?
00:50:45I know how it sounds.
00:50:47Do you?
00:50:47You broke out of military prison,
00:50:49stole a fighter jet,
00:50:50intercepted an active mission,
00:50:51and now you're telling us
00:50:52some conspiracy theory
00:50:53about a senator?
00:50:55It's not a theory.
00:50:57Then where's your proof?
00:51:00It's at the facility.
00:51:03Wait.
00:51:04That's why you're here?
00:51:05Everything my father found,
00:51:07everything Voss buried,
00:51:08it's there,
00:51:09at the facility.
00:51:10And if you're wrong,
00:51:11I'm not.
00:51:12That's not an answer.
00:51:16Our orders are to destroy
00:51:18that facility.
00:51:19And that is what we'll do.
00:51:21Apex!
00:51:22Just give him one shot!
00:51:23No!
00:51:24He is a traitor.
00:51:25And I'm shooting him down.
00:51:30Apex!
00:51:31I'm not the traitor!
00:51:32It's your father!
00:51:32My father does what needs
00:51:34to be done for this country!
00:51:37You knew?
00:51:40I know power.
00:51:42Something you couldn't understand.
00:51:44Team, lock in on Peterson.
00:51:46Apex!
00:51:47Don't do this!
00:51:48What are you doing?
00:51:49Bro!
00:51:49Don't fire on our own!
00:51:55Not so tough now.
00:51:57Please!
00:51:58Goodbye, mob bucket!
00:52:11What the?
00:52:23I don't want to fight you.
00:52:25But I'm checking out that base.
00:52:28You want to go chasing ghosts?
00:52:29Fine.
00:52:29But we're sticking to the mission.
00:52:30You get one chance.
00:52:32Whatever you're looking for,
00:52:33find it fast.
00:52:34Roger that.
00:52:49Sir, Mitchell Peters is in escape custody!
00:53:00Get me, Kata.
00:53:02Now.
00:53:08Senator.
00:53:10Peterson escaped.
00:53:12Good.
00:53:13Good?
00:53:13If he comes there,
00:53:15I'll take care of him myself.
00:53:25You stand no chance
00:53:26against this plane, Peterson.
00:53:28Listen.
00:53:41Dad.
00:53:42What did you find?
00:53:51This isn't a nuclear plant.
00:53:58is not a nuclear plant.
00:54:09Walk down the exit!
00:54:16Come on.
00:54:26What?
00:54:32No, these weren't enemy attacks
00:54:34Voss helped coordinate them
00:54:38Damn it
00:55:02Don't let them and fight
00:55:04Burn
00:55:04Gun
00:55:06Gun
00:55:07Gun
00:55:07Gun
00:55:07Gun
00:55:07Gun
00:55:07Gun
00:55:30Drop the weapon.
00:55:52Last warning.
00:56:15You didn't blow the place up.
00:56:18Don't get emotional.
00:56:21We did a flyover of the facility.
00:56:23The place wasn't anything like the intel reports.
00:56:25No cooling towers.
00:56:27No civilian workers?
00:56:28Nothing.
00:56:29Then we started seeing military equipment.
00:56:32So you believe me now?
00:56:34Just shut up.
00:56:36Let's go home.
00:56:38Uh, guys, I love this bro-me, but we've got company.
00:56:42Uh, that's a lot of fighters.
00:56:47Looks like we're doing this.
00:56:50Gentlemen, armed weapons.
00:57:14Okay, now this is more like it.
00:57:18Uh, anybody else seeing that?
00:57:24What the hell is that?
00:57:32Good-bye, Peterson.
00:57:38He's right behind you.
00:57:40Eject!
00:57:40No.
00:57:41I got this.
00:57:48This guy's good.
00:57:50Fast.
00:57:50So maybe we just slow down a little.
00:57:59Where'd he?
00:58:02No!
00:58:13One more thing to do.
00:58:20Okay.
00:58:21Now we can go home.
00:58:33Senator Voss, you are under arrest for treason, conspiracy, and aiding a foreign enemy.
00:58:39Fifteen years ago, James Peterson was branded a traitor to this country.
00:58:46Today, that ruling has officially been reversed.
00:58:49James Peterson died trying to expose a conspiracy that reached the highest levels of government.
00:58:57He was a hero.
00:59:02As for his son, the charges against Mitchell Peterson have also been dropped.
00:59:07About time!
00:59:11About time!
00:59:24You know, I nearly destroyed my life today because of you.
00:59:29How can I ever repay you?
00:59:31I can think of a few ways.
00:59:37Thank you, I'd probably be dead right now without you.
00:59:42Oh, don't be so dramatic.
00:59:50Excuse me!
00:59:52Dad, I...
00:59:54We'll talk.
01:00:00Your father left these behind.
01:00:11He wore them on every mission.
01:00:17Your dad and I flew together for a long time.
01:00:21He would have been proud of you.
01:00:27Just don't start thinking you're as good as he was.
01:00:31Too late.
