00:03This is Liv. Despite her appearance, she is not an elderly woman on the other end of a video call.
00:08In fact, she's actually quite young. That's because she's a newly developed intelligent AI,
00:13being built from the ground up to help elderly individuals who are living with dementia.
00:17Hello there. My name is Liv. I'm the world's first artificial intelligence created with input from
00:24real people living with dementia. They've shared all their experiences and wisdom with me so I can
00:30share it with you and help with any questions or thoughts you might have. Historically, there's been
00:35little support for those suffering from the mind-altering condition, which is why AI Live
00:39was developed by computer manufacturer Lenovo, giving those with the diagnosis a little hope
00:44and reassurance about the future. Will there be people there like me? Yes, indeed. You'll find
00:51people who are also living with dementia and understand what you're going through. These
00:56groups are all about sharing experiences and supporting each other. Liv's designers say she
01:00was developed using the faces of real people, giving her a familiar quality, and that the more
01:05the individual interacts with Liv, the better she gets at providing support. But enough about me.
01:11What would you like to talk about today?
