In a major counter-terrorism success along the Line of Control, four Pakistani terrorists, including a top Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, were killed in the Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The infiltrators were attempting to cross the border near the Nangi Tekri area when they triggered an anti-personnel mine placed as part of the anti-infiltration grid. The resulting explosion in a frontline village killed all four terrorists instantly on the spot. Security was heightened across the forward area following the incident, as authorities monitor developments along the border.
