Ava married into the Blackwood werewolf family. When she was five‑months pregnant, her husband Noah was killed in a trap set by hunters. For seven years, she single‑handedly cared for her paralyzed mother‑in‑law Eleanor, only to be mocked by the entire clan.
Following the distribution of Eleanor’s estate, Ava inherited nothing but an old silver soup spoon. Unexpectedly, she discovered a key and a note hidden inside it.
