00:00At first, Nick Dargy, juror number 10, told us several jurors leaned toward a guilty verdict,
00:04but eventually there was just one holdout who he said expressed doubt about the case,
00:09but voted to convict Clancy anyway.
00:11It was definitely frustrating.
00:13Mainly frustrating when he explicitly said,
00:18you know, I don't know if the prosecution or the defense proved their case.
00:22He expressed that?
00:23Right.
00:24Yeah.
00:24Take me inside the deliberation room.
00:26There was times where, you know, our vote was different than the last day.
00:32But I think ultimately once we laid out all of the evidence and how we saw it,
00:39that really brought everyone kind of on the same page except for this one juror.
00:44There was several times I would ask him to show us, like, evidence or, you know,
00:51just drive a witness testimony that helped to prove what he was saying.
00:56And he couldn't, which is why we ultimately sent in that note.
01:00Otherwise, like, there's nothing wrong with somebody having a completely opposite opinion.
01:05Like, that's, you know, that would be a hung jury.
01:07That, like, that is our justice system.
01:09But he wouldn't engage or couldn't find something to support his view?
01:14There was times he wouldn't engage.
01:15Like, he'd be scrolling on his phone while people were talking to him.
01:20You know, things like that.
01:22Dargy told us one time he confronted the holdout after the man picked up what Clancy used to strangle her
01:28kids.
01:29He took the exercise band out of the bag, grabbed an empty water bottle,
01:35and tied the band around the water bottle and pulled it.
01:40Did he explain why he did that?
01:42No.
01:44He might have.
01:45I'm not entirely...
01:46I think I was just so shocked that he did that.
01:49Is that a mimic of how she killed the children?
01:53Yeah, I assume so, yeah.
01:56What did you think when he did that?
01:58I was shocked.
01:58It didn't make any sense to me.
02:00We're not in here to play detective or...
02:03It's not a game of clue.
02:05Like, this is serious.
02:07I asked him, why are you doing that?
02:10That's a band that was used to strangle a child.
02:12It's disgusting.
02:14Dargy is 25.
02:15He was serving in the military overseas and knew nothing about the case before he was picked as a juror.
02:21Now, he says, it haunts him.
02:23I can't close my eyes without imagining those kids.
02:26But, you know, sitting through all that evidence, sitting through all that witness, test him up.
02:32We got to talk about Lindsay Clancy once again because CBS This Morning had one of the jurors on the
02:42show.
02:43And Gayle King, okay, was absolutely surprised when she heard who the juror was.
02:52Because, remember, there was one holdout.
02:55And she was surprised at who this juror said it was.
03:01And I want to jump into it because it's kind of interesting.
03:05Kind of interesting.
03:06And as you heard there, you know, the other juror, the other guy that you saw there was also a
03:10juror.
03:11And you heard him speaking about the one holdout juror as well there.
03:17It's going to be quite interesting when you hear who it was.
03:21So, let's dive into it.
03:24Check it out.
03:24The case that has really captivated the country.
03:28We're talking about the Lindsay Clancy murder case.
03:30And we are all still talking about that case.
03:32On Thursday, Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, filed a motion asking for the judge to acquit her and throw out the
03:39case.
03:39We're also learning new information about what happened behind closed doors during the jury deliberations.
03:44One of those jurors was Paula Devlin, who we're happy to say joins us in studio.
03:49Paula, thank you so much.
03:50You're welcome.
03:51Because I know that many of you are feeling a lot of pressure these days.
03:54But I want to get right to the vote.
03:56The vote was 11 to 1, as we know.
03:58But when you initially went into the deliberation room, it wasn't 11 to 1.
04:03No, it wasn't.
04:03What was the split at that time?
04:05It was 8, 2, and 2.
04:08So, 8 people were leaning towards not responsible.
04:13Two hadn't decided.
04:14And two thought guilty.
04:18What was your vote?
04:19I was leaning towards not responsible from all the evidence I had heard.
04:23And I had certain things that I wanted to look at when we got into deliberation.
04:28And everything that we talked about and every point that everybody in the room made just kind of reinforced that
04:36more and more.
04:37For you?
04:38Yes.
04:38I'm curious about the jurors themselves, because we know it was nine women, three men.
04:43What was the age range?
04:45What was the racial makeup?
04:46I haven't heard any of that.
04:47What was it?
04:5070-ish to 22.
04:52Mm-hmm.
04:52And one person of color, and then everybody else was white.
05:01A lot of the jurors had children.
05:04Uh-huh.
05:04And one person of color was a person of color a woman or a man?
05:08A man.
05:08A man.
05:09Wait for it.
05:10Is a holdout juror a person, a black man?
05:14Yes.
05:15A black man is a holdout juror?
05:17Yes.
05:19Well, I'll have to sit with that for just a second.
05:24Was there...
05:24Um...
05:25Hold on, wait.
05:26Why do you have to sit with it for a second?
05:28What's wrong with that?
05:30Is the black man just supposed to capitulate and go along with whatever else, you know, the white liberals have
05:35to say?
05:41Oh, man.
05:42And so there you have it.
05:44The one holdout juror, the one who made sure that, nah, Lindsey Clancy ain't about to just walk away with
05:53this.
05:54Mm-mm.
05:54At least not today.
05:55Right?
05:56Not today.
05:57Not today.
05:58uh was a black man oh wait hold on i gotta i gotta sit with that one why why would
06:10you have had to
06:11oh man i gotta sit with that one if it was a white man oh man i gotta sit with
06:17that if it was a white
06:18lady why why why because it's a black man we we just supposed to capitulate to whatever y'all say
06:24yes sir master yes sir
06:30it's almost as if like that like that's what she expects yes sir master
06:37my my democrat queens my democrat kings yes sir i i i i's go as long with it
06:46my goodness man this is crazy absolutely crazy but anyway let's keep it rolling
06:52was there any specific evidence that swayed you or and i'm very curious about the evidence that he
07:01was opposed to let's talk about the evidence for you first i think dr resnick his testimony about
07:09altruistic filicide was really impactful because all throughout the trial we had all the witnesses
07:17there had been nothing but good said about lindsey and how amazing of a mother she was and how much
07:24she loved her children we saw that in every picture that was taken of the house on the night that
07:31this
07:31happened everywhere you look there was just love there was a big sign that said it's a wonderful life
07:39and you know there wasn't anything that said she wasn't that and then to hear somebody talking about
07:47a real reason why all of a sudden this could happen that was really impactful
07:53there's the fact that her mother-in-law testified on her behalf and her husband testified on her behalf
07:59did that have pull any weight for you yes it did i think the prosecution
08:04tried to nudge patrick to say something derogatory and he wouldn't and you know that was very impactful
08:12even after all this time and even after knowing that this happened and losing his three children
08:18he still couldn't say anything really bad about her i think people still struggle with the case when
08:24they think about the children and a lot of us do not understand postpartum psychosis myself included
08:29i've done a deep dive now since this case has started but many people are still hung up that you
08:35can google about going to cvs how long it takes you can have a conversation with your husband and you
08:41appear to be coherent uh you don't indicate that there's anything wrong did the jury struggle with
08:48that that how she was able to seemingly be so coherent but at the same time be having a psychotic
08:55breakdown yes you all discussed that yes yes and i think that was one of the things that the whole
09:02doubt juror really that was one of his main points was what he couldn't wrap his head around yeah that
09:10she could do this one at a time and then you know do all the steps that she did to
09:16go commit suicide
09:18and i think that's legit that is legit and i would have felt the exact same way
09:25if you're in this psychosis how are you able to plan all of this stuff out oh yeah i'm gonna
09:30send him
09:31i'm gonna send my husband to the store so he's not here to stop me you know what i mean
09:37and not only
09:38that but then also when you look at the whole situation when it comes to actually strangling
09:43uh you know the little kids that's not something that is instant it's not like a gunshot where you just
09:50you know bang bang done bang done bang bang you know what i mean like though that's instantaneous
09:58right you you you can you can knock off three people in three seconds boom boom boom one to the
10:06head boom boom boom you know what i mean like that that can happen very quickly but when you straggle
10:12someone that takes time that takes time three to five minutes if i remember correctly according to
10:19some experts three to five minutes so you're sitting there you're sitting there watching your
10:26children squirm and scream and the other ones are scared and terrified and you're choking them to death
10:33for three whole minutes at least each and not only that one of the boys ran away
10:40so once you were done with these two you got up chase the other one into your husband's office
10:47and then did the same to him like no you are guilty and i posted this on x today matter
10:53of fact go and
10:53follow if you don't follow me on x go follow me on x link is in the description it's at
10:57the real doc
10:58rich but i posted this on x and i said um you know so i posted hot take of 2026
11:05if you kill a kid
11:07the reason doesn't matter and uh you know i 100 believe that excuse me i 100 believe that i don't
11:18care what your reasoning is you killed a kid if we're walking around making excuses for people
11:25killing folks um we're in trouble we're in trouble but then also as women for those of you that are
11:34actually saying and have some common sense you're in trouble too because now you're going to be lumped
11:39into this group who are going to have a whole lot of legal issues because now that's going to be
11:46used
11:47in court oh well we saw what you know lindsey clancy you know that whole case that whole trial you
11:53know
11:53hey custody battle dad's going to get it dad's not at risk of possibly you know pine boxing the
12:00children so dad's going to get custody you know what i mean but pilots oh we can't have a we
12:08can't
12:08have a female pilot what if she's going through a psychosis we wouldn't even know how would you know
12:16and what if she decides you know what today's the day i'm crashing this plane
12:22you know what i'm saying like police officers uh you know any any type of position of authority
12:28no presidents for sure what is what if she's going through a psychosis you know
12:37so let's let's not make excuses for this stuff let's hold people accountable to the fullest extent
12:41of the law and uh i believe anybody who harms children um should get the death penalty one thousand
12:49percent no questions asked and that's what i think lindsey clancy should get in this case the death
12:54penalty and what did you all do to try to convince him because clearly it was 8-2-2 so
13:01not in the
13:02beginning there were people who felt the same way that he did was there did you all work together as
13:09a group to try to convince him and what appeared to be his main resistance we all work together and
13:16i
13:16don't know if it was to convince him to start with we all work together to convince ourselves
13:23and um once we got to that point where it was 10-2 it was really hard not i felt
13:31very bad for them
13:32because they felt attacked and there's no way to not do that because that's where we were talking at one
13:40point
13:40it was 10-2 yes and you know even in normal conversation when it's pointed at you and you
13:48have to defend yourself it's a hard thing to do we don't have to always do that and so he
13:55he really um
13:58just the way that it happened like the sequence of how things happen yeah and then
14:04we watched the video of lindsey's interview and after that he said he had realized that it wasn't
14:14murder in the first degree that's where we saw his doubt you know uh lindsey's attorney kevin
14:20reddington has now filed a motion where he says he wants the judge to acquit her and throw out the
14:25case
14:25how do you feel about that i don't feel good about that part of the reason why
14:32we wanted not responsible was that everybody wants justice for the children those children never left
14:42that room they've never left our hearts and that was a way to get justice for those children
14:51this wouldn't have happened if lindsey didn't get lost in the system and failed by the system
14:57her attorney said repeatedly she tried for help what for you what would be justice for lindsey for
15:02you and then we'll we'll go i think they're not responsible and and getting the help that she
15:07needs and making more awareness about postpartum any part of it and making more awareness about
15:14the gap in she called the suicide hotline two times and they turned her away because she didn't
15:21have a plan but she kept telling everybody she wanted to commit suicide all right i'm very fascinated
15:27i don't care how many times you tell people you want to pine box yourself or do x y and
15:32z
15:33if you kill a kid you deserve the death penalty no questions asked i'm i'm sick of people using
15:38mental health as an excuse for this as an excuse for that as a matter of fact i got a
15:42video i don't
15:43know which channel i'm gonna upload it on it it just depends quite honestly i may upload it to my
15:48second channel if you're not subscribed over there definitely go and subscribe um link is in the
15:53description it is called extra rich by the way without an e at the beginning with it starts
15:59with an x x t r a space r i c h but um i'm so sick of people using
16:08mental health as an excuse
16:09to do bullshit excuse my language but that's what it is you know to do bs to do disgusting
16:17things and have disgusting behavior oh it was my mental health i was depressed i was
16:23i was feeling lonely i was feeling sad i was i've been seeing you take coaches like no you did
16:29something horrible you pay for it simple what are we talking about what are we talking about so
16:35because i'm sad and you know i'm depressed i get to go put somebody six feet in the dirt like
16:40no that
16:41is crazy it's crazy like where are we going like this is just like honestly it's a little scary
16:48scary it really is because now we're making excuses for people being able to kill people
16:55and it's just like we've already seen i don't know if you guys have seen it and maybe i'll make
17:01a video
17:01on it if you guys are interested but we've already seen a couple different copycat situations like
17:07lindsey clancy's like within like the past few weeks i've seen several of them
17:17like that is an issue that is a problem and we shouldn't just simply yeah sure somebody may
17:24be genuinely going through something but i don't care if you kill somebody you get the death penalty
17:29simple and plain simple and plain you know like that it's just i'm sick of that man i really am
17:41but
17:41anyway get in the comments let me know your thoughts and your opinions as always stay safe out there peace
17:44and love i'm out
