00:00We've been testing over 15 of the latest golf bags to help you decide which is best for your
00:05game. In this video, I'll look at the best lightweight bags, the best waterproof bags,
00:09the best PU leather bags, the best cart bags, and the best Sunday bags before declaring my
00:14overall favorite for 2026. Right, first up, lightweight stand bags. If you're in this part
00:22of the market, often the overall weight is going to be a big consideration for you. So here are
00:26some of my favorite examples. You've got the OGO Featherlite. I mean, that's a name that has to
00:30be lightweight. It's two kilos and it's got 10 pockets in total, which is the most for a bag
00:35that's that lightweight. So if you're looking for that mixture of the two, plenty of storage,
00:39lightweight build, good comfortable strap, OGO is an excellent example. It comes in some pretty
00:44funky colorways as well. Two good options from Ping. You've got the Moon Lander here, which is
00:49just under two kilos as well. Really like this little bag. It's pretty stylish. Got some cool
00:53patterns you get on it. Four-way divider and just about enough pockets. Only just those. So you've
00:59got a great neoprene water bottle pocket on the front there and two side pockets. It's neglected
01:04the full length apparel pocket you're used to in favor of a bit of a slimmer build, which I really
01:08like. But if you're carrying apparel waterproofs, you might miss that. So you've then got the Ping
01:15Hoofer, which is only about half a kilo heavier, I believe. But you get a lot more bag there. You
01:21get
01:21five-way divider. I think it's got 16 pockets in total, which includes some internal pockets,
01:26which is quite a lot. And the Ping Hoofer is just a classic. It's one of the best stand bags
01:29that's ever been made. And they still make it very well in some nice colorways as well. But my
01:34overall pick has to be the most lightweight bag on test. And I'm not just giving that because it's
01:38so lightweight. It's also very practical, very pretty, very stylish. It's this, the Sun Mountain
01:42Eclipse 1.5. As the name might suggest, it's only one and a half kilo. So half a kilo lighter
01:48than anything else we've got on test in this video. And it's really pretty. It's got this
01:52sort of like tissue paper thin fabric, which at first I thought would be a little bit, it
01:57might wear quickly, but it's a ripstop fabric. So it's incredibly hard wearing. I think it looks
02:02really pretty. And you've still got plenty of padding and pockets on there. The padding in
02:06particular on Sun Mountain bags is incredibly comfortable. You get it on the shoulder strap
02:10and on the hip pad. Unlike the Moon Lander, which still lies in the Moon Lander, but it's got
02:16that full length apparel pocket. It's got a quick, easy access range finder pocket, which
02:20is magnetic, which I love as well. Not fully waterproof as none of these are. We'll do a
02:24waterproof category in a minute. But as lightweight stand bags go, this Sun Mountain doesn't get
02:29much better. Right, next up, best waterproof stand bag. Now, if you like the look of the
02:36lightweight ones, but need that all year round waterproof protection, here are some great
02:39options for you. Sun Mountain is a brand in general make excellent waterproof material.
02:44They seem sealed both sides of the zippers on all their waterproof bags. So they're really
02:48impenetrable for any water. So I like Sun Mountain as a brand for that. Big Max, very similar,
02:53in particular the Aqua 8H we tested this year. It's the most lightweight waterproof stand bag
02:58from this year's test, two kilos, but still plenty of storage. And again, excellent, reliable
03:03waterproofing material. I also really like the TaylorMade StormDrive from this year. Now, I don't
03:08normally recommend TaylorMade bags that much. I've not liked some of their stand bags recently,
03:11but the waterproofing material on this is fantastic. I think it looks really pretty.
03:15There's plenty of organisation and perfect if you're looking to match up your clubs with your
03:19bag, which I know a lot of people like to do. Which brings us to the winner this year,
03:23which is the Titleist Players S4 Stay Dry. The reason I picked this one in particular,
03:28and it was a close one between all these bags, but the waterproofing and the material they've used
03:33on the new bag for this year, it's all new for this year, is beautiful. It's got this beautiful
03:37sort of matte finish to it, which makes it look really premium. It almost doesn't look waterproof,
03:41and you pour a load of water over it, and the water all beads off, especially in the green colour
03:46where we tested this year. I thought it looked fantastic. Good storage options, comfortable
03:50strap, looks really pretty and premium. So if you're asked for a good waterproof bag this year,
03:55I'd recommend the Titleist.
03:59Well, my next category, I don't really know how to name properly. I've gone for like Posh,
04:03P.U. leather. How about that? We'll put it the Posh P.U. leather category here. And this is a
04:07really popular style of bag that more and more brands are introducing into their ranges as they
04:13become more popular, right? One of those is Wilson. The 1914 Stanback was bought out this year. Bit of
04:19a surprise. I haven't seen a Wilson bag for ages. This thing's gorgeous. It's so subtle. It's got a
04:24bit of embossed Wilson logo-ing down the side. But other than that, the one I tested, just an all
04:28black,
04:29lovely P.U. leather bag. Great organisation. Really lightweight as well. I think 2.2 kilos,
04:35something like that. It's one of the lightest P.U. leather bags I've tested. One of the sort of
04:40drawbacks to these is often quite heavy because they're not using the kind of lightweight materials
04:44you get in waterproof bags or that we saw in the Sun Mountain from the lightweight section. But
04:48that Wilson one does offer you a more slimmed down version of what these bags are. You've got the
04:55Ping Reserve bag as well. Another sort of surprise one. I didn't expect Ping to bring this out this
04:59year, but really beautifully done. It's got a clever pocket that you can take on or off to add or
05:04take
05:05away storage and make it a bit slimmer if you want to. I like that addition. A couple of magnetic
05:09pockets
05:10on it as well. And I'm a sucker for a magnetic pocket. It makes everything feel more premium and
05:13does give you quicker access as well. So the Reserve's an excellent option. But my winner in this
05:18category, and isn't one particular bag because there are so many here, is Vessel. Vessel are the absolute
05:24goats, the Rolls Royces of making these styles of bags. You're going to have to invest a little more
05:30to get the Vessel brand. But from my experience, I've got the Sunday 3 here. We've tested the player
05:355, the Sunday 4, some of their cart bags as well. That investment is worth every penny. The materials
05:42just go up a notch. The craftsmanship just goes up a notch. So whether it's a cart bag or whether
05:47it's
05:48a stand bag, if you're in this posh PU leather made up category I've come up with, I would go
05:53for Vessel
05:53broadly as a bag.
05:58Right, next up, best cart bags. I don't normally talk about cart bags because they're so often so
06:04featureless. There's not much to differentiate between them. I'll just say to people, get one
06:07you like the look of or that sort of matches the trolley you're using. However, I've got some great
06:11examples that have come out in recent years and bags that really innovate in this space and might
06:14give you something a little bit different. The one I've got in front of me here is the
06:18Motor Caddy Protector and that name comes from this very unique top which does protect your
06:23clubs. It sort of locks them all in position here in head position and stops them from
06:27clattering around and chattering each other. It doesn't look, it's a bit ungainly to look
06:32at, the top section that is. I think the rest of the bag's really pretty but it's so effective.
06:36I think if you're often using carts or buggies or if you're using remote trolleys especially
06:41when the clubs are going over uneven terrain bashing against each other, not only is it going
06:45to protect them over time. It makes for less noise as well. I think sometimes you've got
06:48all those clubs chattering around, it gets quite annoying. And the bag itself, fully waterproof,
06:521 billion pockets on it. That's not an official line, that's just anecdotally. So a great storage
06:57option and something really unique on the top half here. Big Macs make a bag like this as well with
07:03this, pretty much this exact same top. And OGO's All Elements Silencer Cart Bag has a slightly
07:09different take on this. Instead of holding it at the head end, you put the club into the little
07:14unique sort of slot and it holds it at the grip end at the very bottom. As well as on
07:18the shaft
07:18with a bit of a sort of silicone thing. I'll bring up some imagery of that now. Same concept,
07:24holds the club in place, stops the chatter, looks a little bit smarter than this in my opinion. So
07:28if you like the idea of that, I wouldn't be too put off by the look of these bags. I
07:32think they're
07:32really useful. But if you're fed up with the noise and you're fed up with clubs sort of getting hit
07:36against each other, there's a few cart bags with those options. If you're looking for lightweight and
07:42waterproof, the Power Caddy Dry Tech is one of the best out there. Again, if you're trying to match
07:46it up with the Power Caddy, I'd go straight forward. But even if you haven't got a Power Caddy
07:49trolley, it's just over two kilos. The waterproofing on it is excellent. And like all cart bags, there's
07:54just so much storage. You can put anything anywhere, pretty much. But the winner for me in this category
07:59is the Big Macs Aqua IPX Tour. Now this is a very unique bag. It is the world's first non
08:05-stitched
08:06heat welded bag. And this process for me gives it the new gold standard for waterproofing in golf
08:12bags. Not available in stand bags yet, only in this cart bag. And it is incredibly unique for
08:18its construction. The material has got this beautiful sort of matte finish to it. It's almost
08:22like a wetsuit, a bit firmer than a wetsuit, but not quite. But the same concept, the lack of stitches
08:27means no water can get in. I think it's a beautiful bag. Again, loads of storage as it always is
08:33in Big
08:33Max bags. They've also toned down the styling on it a little bit. I often found some Big Max bags
08:37had too much writing on them. This is a little bit toned down. I think it'll get even more toned
08:41down in the future. And it's a really great cart bag. Its only drawback for me is this new material
08:46is quite rigid, quite sturdy, which is good in some sense. It's going to last forever, but it makes
08:52some of the pockets look a little bit funny. They don't sit as naturally as some of the other
08:55materials we see. It's a small trade-off for what is a really, really cool golf bag, something
09:00really unique. And if you're after a cart bag, that is going to protect your equipment to the
09:04very end from water, sand, dust, whatever it is, this is a fantastic option.
09:12Right, final category is Sunday bags. And there's loads of kind of cool, stylish, vibey options in
09:17here. Awesome practical ones as well. The Ojo Funday was my winner in last year's one. I love
09:21this little bag. I like how it's got the little legs on the bottom to keep it off the surface
09:25if it's
09:25wet or muddy or whatever. And it's got these modular pockets on the bottom, which allow you to
09:30kind of add or take away pocket space as and when you need it. So often Sunday bags aren't very
09:34practical for space. This can have it if you want it. It can also be really bare bones if you
09:38don't
09:39either. A good bit of padding on the hip pad and on the strap as well. So that for me
09:43is the best
09:44Sunday bag from like a practicality point of view. But two other options from this year that we've
09:48tested that are more vibes based, a bit more retro perhaps. You've got the Jones carry bag. I think
09:54they're absolutely gorgeous. My colleague Joe has been using that all year. Carries a full set of 14.
09:59Listen, there's barely any pockets in it. You can carry a water bottle, balls and teas. That's about
10:03it. But you look a million dollars doing it. And the Vessel Sunday carry. They've brought a proper
10:09Sunday bag to market this year. They've got a bag called the Sunday three and the Sunday four.
10:13It's not an actual Sunday bag. This is an actual Sunday bag. And uniquely, it folds away into its own
10:18bag. I can't quite work out why you'd want it to do that. Because if it's in its bag, where
10:23are your
10:23clubs going to go? But I quite like the option anyway. I like what Vessel do. I like that in
10:26particular.
10:27But if it's practicality you want from a Sunday bag, for half a set, maybe nine clubs,
10:32the Ojo Funday is my winner again.
10:38Right, on to my overall winner for 2026. I'm not going to call it the best bag because what's
10:42best for me isn't best for you and vice versa. So hopefully, in the subcategories I've lined
10:47out here, you've got a few bags you'd like the look of. And based on your priorities, what you need
10:50from a bag can go and pick your favourite. But I will say my favourite, and it might be recency
10:56bias,
10:56but for me, the Sun Mountain Eclipse 1.5 does everything a lightweight carry bag needs to do.
11:02Firstly, be really light. This thing is the lightest I've ever tested that can still carry
11:06all 14 clubs. It looks good. The material is super, super durable. And the straps and the hip pad
11:13is comfortable. So when I do carry, I'm more of a kart player actually, or a trolley player rather.
11:17But when I do carry, I can take all 14 clubs and apparel and balls and my rangefinder,
11:23or strip it out and carry half a set, and I look good, and I feel good doing it as
11:27well.
11:27So well done to Sun Mountain for that, but well done to all the bags, and hopefully you found
11:30your favourite in this video. So what I've done is put some really clever links down in the
11:34description, where if you like the look of any of these bags, no matter where you're watching,
11:39you click on that link and it will find you the cheapest price for that bag in your area.
