00:02I am now 3-0, fading Texas ATS-wise in big football games.
00:07Texas did not cover against Ohio State when they were at home.
00:12Texas does not cover here against Oklahoma.
00:15The difference is Texas didn't win those games, the previous two.
00:19Texas lost on Saturday in the Red River to Oklahoma
00:24as Arch Manning gets picked off a pick-six in the fourth quarter
00:29on top of the blocked punt, recovered for a touchdown by Oklahoma,
00:34and then a really impressive performance by the OU defense
00:39against Arch Manning, picking them off to end the game.
00:42Just a really impressive win for Oklahoma.
00:45It saved Oklahoma's season.
00:48It puts Texas and their path to the college football playoff
00:54somewhat in doubt.
00:56Remember, I bet against them to make the playoffs.
00:58Now, the win over Ohio State kind of got them in.
01:00So the fact that they didn't cover against Ohio State,
01:04yet they still won is somewhat of a shock, right?
01:06They laid one and a half, and they were able to win the game,
01:08but they didn't cover.
01:09That win will get them into the postseason with two losses.
01:13They can lose one more game and still get in.
01:15If they lose two more games, they're not going to get in.
01:19But I faded Oregon.
01:20I didn't put Oregon in my 12 because I wasn't high on Oregon.
01:24And Oregon lost over the weekend.
01:26And Oregon is now not even ranked in the top 25.
01:29So I think Oregon is not going to make the playoffs like I thought.
01:32Everybody was like, how do you not have Oregon in your top 12?
01:34I'm like, I just don't.
01:35I don't think Oregon's very good.
01:37Regardless of Dante Moore's injury or not,
01:39I don't think they would have made the playoffs anyway,
01:42but not having Dante Moore.
01:44And you watch enough Nebraska football in your life
01:48to realize that if you're taking the backup quarterback
01:51or the starting quarterback for Nebraska
01:52and expecting him to be the world beater or your season saver,
01:57Dylan Raiola is a decent quarterback,
01:59but he is not going to play in the league.
02:01And frankly, he was awful for Oregon over the weekend.
02:04So I have Oregon out.
02:07Now, I think when you look at where Texas goes from here
02:10and the schedule that they've got coming up,
02:12you can see one more loss, if not two more losses, easy for Texas.
02:17Oklahoma's probably not going to make the playoffs
02:19unless they run the table.
02:20They look so bad against Georgia the week before the Red River
02:23that that was really a difficult thing for them.
02:26It's going to be a difficult thing from just from an image standpoint
02:28with the committee to have them be part of the top 12.
02:32But there's going to be a huge debate about how many two lost teams
02:37go into the bracket because of the number of teams
02:42that are going to be two lost teams, in my opinion.
02:45So if Oklahoma runs the table, that win over Texas
02:47could be the thing that puts them into the postseason.
02:50They've got the defense.
02:52Their offense has always been the issue.
02:54John Mateer played well enough.
02:55I don't think he played great, but he played well enough
02:57in that game to beat Texas.
02:59And again, I don't like Arch Manning.
03:02I just don't think this kid is as good as the back of his jersey says.
03:08If he was Archie Smith, I don't think we're talking about this kid
03:12the same way, but he's Arch Manning.
03:14And so everyone's talking about him as being the presumptive number one pick
03:19and that he is this incredible, you know, surefire hit NFL prospect.
03:23I just don't see it.
03:25I think he throws late.
03:27I think he misreads coverage.
03:28I think he's gotten a ton of attention and a ton of hype too much too soon.
03:34And I will keep on betting against the market
03:36and I'll keep on betting against Arch Manning.
