00:14Hi, everyone. If you have a question, raise your hand.
00:21Before we start, I would like to say a few words about King Frey, our live president.
00:29It's a really sad day for everybody that loves Arsenal Football Club,
00:34or anybody that loves football, or anybody that has come across to him.
00:39I had the privilege and honor to meet him, to spend time with him, to learn from him.
00:44And there are people in football clubs that they have a role and they fulfill a role.
00:49And there are other people that they create an identity, they create values,
00:54and they have a vision to create a future for the football club.
00:57And I think the legacy that Ken is going to leave to all of us, to our football club,
01:01and everybody that has been close to him is going to be forever.
01:07I want to pass on all our love to his relatives, his family,
01:11but just so they know that the way we feel about him, it cannot be anything but extraordinary. That's it.
01:28That performance, Miquel, particularly in the second half, could almost be a tribute to him.
01:34I'm sure he is very happy to see how the boys play, the way we want the victories for him.
01:41But not only that, because I know how proud he feels about what we built, and especially the group of
01:47players that we have.
01:48You talked a lot about starters and finishers, genius, tactician as well,
01:55because the three players you brought on that third goal all involved.
01:58Martin's pass, Kai's assist, Miquel scored.
02:04Well, we had moments in the game in the first half, especially in certain moments that we arrived to very
02:11dangerous positions.
02:12With a lot of advantage, our technical quality wasn't good enough to deliver moments of real threat,
02:19and especially to be able to sustain the attack, so we allowed certain transitions.
02:23The moment we made a change in halftime in terms of certain positions,
02:26and the technical level increased, and we attacked the spaces,
02:30and we thought that we could help them.
02:32It was a joy to watch those three goals were unbelievable.
02:35The connections, the timings, the quality that they delivered to a score.
02:39Three different players, and a lot of players participating in those goals.
02:42So overall, very, very happy.
02:45Miquel, it's the second game in a row where you've had the triple change
02:49ready to go.
02:50You've then scored.
02:53But in that moment when you then scored, do you ever think,
02:56well, maybe I'll wait, but you've gone through with it both times?
02:59That's it.
03:00I felt that it was the right moment to do it.
03:02The way the game was panning out, the way the opponent was behaving as well,
03:07that we needed in those moments, those spaces, different kind of players, and that's it.
03:13But that's credit to the starters, and as well as the ones that come in to create those moments.
03:18Is it about momentum as well?
03:19Yes, it is.
03:22Miquel, you've scored quite a few goals this season at the end of long passing moves,
03:27almost like Wenger-esque.
03:30What's the reason behind that and that change, do you think, and that chemistry between the players?
03:35Well, certainly.
03:37First of all, depending on how opponents behave, because if opponents behave in a really different
03:41way, the sequences of passes will be very, very short, and you don't have this kind of
03:45moments.
03:47Because it's something that we've been trying a lot, because it's a phase that now we are
03:50obviously facing a lot, and because we have players that are evolving, their understanding
03:55better, the level of chemistry that we have generated is better.
04:00And we need that, because we cannot rely on other aspects, or when other aspects are
04:05not working, we need to make sure that we have a variety of tools to win football matches.
04:11So quickly, do you have an update on Incafie and Zubimendi?
04:15Yes, it's much better.
04:16Zubi is much, much better.
04:18Piero is improving, but as I said, it looks more significant.
04:21I think it will be a matter of weeks, I think.
04:24We don't know exactly how many.
04:26Zubi's days?
04:27Zubi is expecting, yeah.
04:29We have to see, the moment he goes on that pitch, how he deals with the pain and still
04:35some small feelings that he will have, basically.
04:39Mikel, just a word on Miles.
04:41Obviously, he's moved back into midfield, but then to go back to left-back tonight and
04:45play the way he did in the character, he was getting a lot of love off your coaches as
04:48he left the field.
04:50How does that make you feel?
04:51He always gets love from the coaches.
04:53They are so good at that.
04:55He deserves a massive credit, because as you said, training position is not only just
04:59what you have to deliver tactically, as well as the physical element of that and the
05:03kind of efforts that you have to make, but I think it was brilliant.
05:06I think the way he competed, the way he carried himself, he was very, very consistent except
05:12of one action in the game.
05:15That's what we need.
05:16The Miles at this level is a player with a huge impact on the team.
05:20So you go to Bayern next week, a really exciting challenge.
05:23Are you aware that Michael Alise looks like he's been suspended for that?
05:25Yeah, I think the beautiful challenge is going to be against Forrest that way, and we have
05:29experienced that over the last few years, and to make sure that we are ready for that
05:33one first.
05:34Alex from BBC.
05:35Hi, Michael.
05:36Another goal and assist for Pekai coming off the bench.
05:39Was that him responding to your challenge with two or three goals a game, or just the
05:42next step in evolution in his career?
05:44I don't know.
05:45If that's the case, I'm very happy and welcome.
05:50He wasn't feeling that good yesterday and today because he had a sort of illness.
05:55He wasn't ready to start, but he really was keen to contribute to the team.
05:59It was needed.
06:00He came on.
06:01He made a huge impact, and he delivered with real quality.
06:07Michael, that's now 14 consecutive wins in the group phase of this competition.
06:12I mean, that's quite an impressive tally.
06:14It stretches back nearly two years.
06:15Just a word on that.
06:17Well, it shows the level of consistency that we have.
06:20We carry on playing the way we do and performing at that level in the competition.
06:25I'm sure we can do that more, but you have to earn it because the level is big.
06:30Okay, last couple.
06:32Michael, Nani Madweke seems to have all the talent and ability plus that end product,
06:36it seems.
06:37How frustrating is that for him to get pretty much to the end but just fail that final,
06:41whether it's a touch, cross or shot?
06:43I said, when you talk about players being clinical, and what is clinical?
06:49Clinical sometimes means that they score five every hundred, you know?
06:53So, yeah, it's about generating volume and more actions and getting into a good position
06:58because he will decide matches.
07:00He had a really big contribution a few days ago.
07:04Today he had a contribution in the last final pass as well.
07:07And that's it.
07:08We need to get the players to that level to be decisive in every game if possible.
07:13Hi, Michael.
07:14Just on Bukaya, when you talked about what you spoke about yesterday in terms of his goals,
07:18what do you sense when you have those conversations with him about his mindset?
07:23Because that was a word that you used yesterday.
07:27After the press conference I went, he was in the massage table, and I said,
07:31Bukaya, I just killed you in the press conference.
07:33Good luck tomorrow.
07:34He was laughing.
07:35He knows me.
07:36He knows that we have discussed these kind of things.
07:39And he takes it because he wants to be the best version of himself.
07:43And in order to do that, you have to put big objectives and challenges and try to reach them
07:49by working and being consistent.
07:51And when it doesn't work, keep going because he has the ability to do it.
07:54Yeah.
07:56Okay.
