00:00The story kicks off in ancient Japan. We see a place called Eiko, where feudal lords still rule.
00:06Some samurai bring in this strange boy they caught. The boy's name is Kai, but nobody knows where he's
00:12from. Everyone's suspicious, thinking he might be some kind of ghost or demon. They don't want him
00:17in their domain because his skin is really pale and it scares them. But still, the lord of the
00:23land, Lord Asano, says the boy can stay. Asano's daughter, Mika, also likes the boy, and they
00:29become friends real quick. The boy grows up in that domain, but he's always an outcast.
00:35Everyone treats him like a stranger, but he's still grateful for Asano's kindness and Mika's
00:40friendship. One day, a group of hunters goes to catch a beast that's been scaring all the villagers.
00:46This thing is huge, with six eyes. Forget men, it can even lift horses into the air. Just then,
00:52we see a samurai named Yasano, whose sword falls, and he gets stuck in front of the beast. Kai risks
00:59his life and takes out the creature. He saves Yasano's life and gives his sword back to him.
01:05Yasano says with disgust, I'd rather have died. This impure thing saved me. Gross. Everyone there
01:12believes that Kai is something else. Anyway, soon the other samurai arrive and think that Yasano must
01:18have killed the beast. Yasano stays quiet and takes all the credit for himself. Before leaving,
01:23Kai sees this weird white fox staring at him. Its two eyes are different colors. Meanwhile,
01:30in another domain, Nagato, the same white fox goes to their lord, Lord Kira. Suddenly the fox turns into
01:36a beautiful woman. She's actually Kira's spy. She tells Kira that their plan to take out Lord
01:42Asano didn't work. When the people return from the hunt, Mika welcomes her father. She asks if he's
01:48hurt. Asano jokes, are you worried about someone special? That's when we find out why it was so
01:54important to kill the six-eyed beast. A huge tournament called the Shogun's Tournament is about
01:59to happen in Akko, which is a big deal. Everything needs to be perfect. Asano is super happy with
02:05Mika's work. He says that if her mother were alive today, she'd be so proud of her. That night,
02:11Mika goes to Kai. Kai is really hurt, so Mika takes care of him. After this, Mika brings up
02:17Yasano. She says that when everyone was praising him, there was shame in his eyes. Kai gets that
02:22Mika knows what happened. He quickly tells her, I don't need any trouble. You should leave. At the
02:27same time, Kai also says, I'll always want you, but my place is different, and yours is different.
02:33Soon the day of the Shogun arrives with great pomp and circumstance. A woman appears who looks
02:38familiar. Her eyes are also two different colors, just like that fox we saw in the forest. Kai finds
02:45this strange, so he goes to tell Oishi. Neither of them knows that his son, Shikara, is listening
02:51to their conversation. Kai says that there's a witch among them, but Oishi reminds him that
02:56only demons can see a witch's true face. How do you know all this? The next day, the festival
03:02starts again, and Lord Kira arrives. He talks respectfully to Lord Asano, but deep down, they
03:09hate each other. Kira says, Wow, you have a very nice concubine. Asano replies angrily,
03:15She's my daughter, you understand? Talk with respect. After the performance, it's time for
03:21the competition between the two domains. Lord Kira's warrior is amazing. Everyone is really
03:27impressed with him. Kira teases Mika, Don't worry, I'm sure the warrior your father chose will be just
03:33as strong. But nobody has much faith in him, because his father chose Yasano, thinking that
03:39he's the one who killed that six-eyed beast. Everyone's thinking that Yasano will be here
03:44any minute, but just before the fight, that fox comes to meet him, and now he looks different.
03:49When Shikara comes to get him, Yasano doesn't look like he's in any condition to fight. Kai says,
03:55call someone else, but there's no time for that now. If their warrior doesn't...
