00:01A new website is helping victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation understand
00:07their options after an investigation has been closed. Called I Am Ready, it brings information
00:13and support together with guidance shaped alongside victims and survivors. The site
00:19asks users questions, then signposts options based on their circumstances. These may include
00:26specialist support, information about reporting abuse to police or routes to ask for a case
00:32decision to be reviewed. People can move through the website at their own pace, take breaks,
00:38save their progress and return when they feel ready. One possible route is the victim's right
00:43to review scheme. Another is the child sexual abuse review panel which considers eligible cases where
00:50a decision was made not to prosecute. The website also explains Operation Beaconport, launched in
00:56November 2025, after Baroness Casey's audit of group-based child sexual abuse and exploitation.
01:03The operation is reviewing hundreds of cases where police or prosecutors decided to take
01:09no further action between 1 January 2010 and 31 March 2025. I Am Ready does not mean every case
01:17will be reopened or that every review route will apply. Options depend on individual circumstances
01:23and the relevant schemes criteria.
