00:00The Dodgers are still in the playoffs.
00:02How about this, guys?
00:03The Dodgers are down 0-2.
00:05What?
00:06No, I can't.
00:07You're going to tell me that the Dodgers have looked good
00:09through two games against the Brewers?
00:11No, I'm not going to tell you that.
00:13What I'm going to tell you is I saw the Brewers do this exact same thing
00:17to the Padres.
00:19They score one more run than you.
00:22That's just what they do.
00:23They won 105 games doing this.
00:26Their power is not expected.
00:28But Contreras has been electric, and I hate him now
00:32because he's that good now, but he's been electric.
00:35When you run their best pitcher off the mound before you normally do,
00:41that's a good sign for the other team.
00:44But the Dodgers were able to do that to Mizorowski in game one.
00:48They just couldn't figure out how to win the game.
00:51So I think that what you saw was Milwaukee do what they were supposed to do.
00:57They won their two home games.
00:59Now, I don't know what's going on with Ohtani, but this is what I feel.
01:03This is my opinion.
01:05You shouldn't play him.
01:07If he looks that bad, you know who doesn't care he's hurt?
01:12The Brewers.
01:13The statistics don't care.
01:14The Brewers don't care.
01:16And the other team's fan base doesn't care.
01:19All they see is him sucking right now.
01:22So if I'm the Dodgers, I have to protect this asset from itself.
01:27And you're not going to play until you can look like yourself.
01:31Because he looks dreadful right now.
01:34And the break that they had between the end of the season and now is not what they
01:39didn't because they had Atlanta.
01:40Yeah, but it didn't help.
01:42He looked better in that series than he does now.
01:45So he looks pathetic right now.
01:49And I don't know if you can fix that in a couple of days or a day off and a
01:54massage you're talking to.
01:56Or home field advantage ain't going to fix what's wrong with him.
02:00And so in my opinion, they shouldn't play him because that by adding someone in
02:05who can help you, everybody knows they've got to play better.
02:08And what the Dodgers do do better than anybody else is they find a no-name guy
02:13who can find a way to help you get a win.
02:16That's what they've specialized in the last two years to World Series championships.
02:21Finding someone on that roster top to bottom somewhere somehow to make a key play.
02:27But he can't be the guy because he looks awful.
02:30It's not just him.
02:32Otani's one for eight.
02:33Will Smith has been absolutely, absolutely terrible in the playoffs.
02:37Even in the Brave series, he was trash.
02:39Freddie Freeman, one for eight.
02:41Kyle Tucker, one for seven.
02:42Mookie Betts, two for nine.
02:44One extra base hit through two games for the Dodgers.
02:46This, you know, when I, I remember when I said this about the series, the Dodgers were
02:51awful in the first series against the Braves.
02:54They just had a Braves team that was worse on offense.
02:58That's just what it was.
02:59Yeah.
02:59And the, all the Brewers needed to do was get to Scooble and Yamamoto one inning or two
03:05innings.
03:05Just get to them for one or two innings.
03:07And they would probably have the upper hand.
03:09And what do they do?
03:10They forced Yamamoto to have his shortest career, a shortest post-season outing of his
03:14career.
03:15They forced Scooble to exit after what, five or six innings.
03:18They pushed his limit up.
03:19Even though Scooble did pitch pretty well.
03:22This offense is as bad as it.
03:24Like all these worries that Dodger fans have had in August and September, like what's going
03:29on with this team.
03:30It is carried straight into the playoffs.
03:33It's just that the Braves were as bad as them.
03:36So the Dodgers edged them out.
03:38Now this Brewers team, they put up seven in game two.
03:42Yeah.
03:42They only put up two, but their pitching has been phenomenal.
03:45It has been.
03:46So let me ask you, let me ask you this question.
03:50Cause everybody was cooking Dave Robert, Ray Roberts, but for who he brought in after he
03:55took him out, what'd you think about that?
03:58There's, there's some infatuation with Alex Vesia that this team has.
04:02And also they should have left Roki Sasaki in there for three innings instead of bringing
04:06in Brock Stewart and all these like one, one, one, Roki Sasaki was a starter and he was
04:13actually performing very well towards the end of the season.
04:15And Dave Robert, he did great in his one inning.
04:18He took him out and everything collapsed.
04:20So Dave Roberts deserves some of the blame too.
04:22I don't know Will Smith, not challenging pitches when you have two of them for pitches that
04:28would have changed the complexion of the game really angers me.
04:32Will Smith hasn't been hitting.
04:34He's a challenging for some, you have the ability to do it.
04:37Now Dave Roberts is getting upset with his own players.
04:40He already told Pahez not to do it.
04:42And now Will Smith isn't doing it.
04:44And listen, I will say this before we end the show.
04:48Josue DePaulo has had more good at bats in his past three at bats than Shohei has had
04:54in three months.
04:55Yeah.
04:56Yeah.
04:57I would put DePaulo in over Shohei right now.
04:59I don't care about 700 million.
05:00I don't care about it.
05:00I don't care about it.
05:00I don't care about it.
