Sal Capaccio shares how different he feels this season has felt from the past five.

00:00This Bills team, Sal, is for you.
00:03Does it feel different, mostly or at all, than the last five years,
00:09where you think about what their chances are at this point?
00:12I know it's like a week-to-week league and everything else,
00:15and too soon to really know everything,
00:17but this is what we got into yesterday,
00:20where I like all these things about them.
00:23They're obviously a top team, but can they really get there this way?
00:28And their defense is not the same.
00:30So how do you feel about their sustainability right now?
00:35So I'll go back to the words that I used many times leading up into the season,
00:39and it has come to fruition, and I'm glad for that part of it,
00:43which is high event, right?
00:45High event football.
00:46Yes, it does feel very different,
00:47because Sean McDermott teams were not high event football.
00:50Sean McDermott teams were teams that could score, for sure.
00:53I mean, they led the league in scoring over top three or four
00:56and had the league MVP,
00:57but they didn't play high event football.
00:59It's exactly the opposite of the way that he wanted to play.
01:01And you guys know, I would come on here and tell you,
01:04Joe Brady wants to play that way.
01:05Like, he wants a team that says,
01:07I don't care, what's their motto?
01:08Put the ball down.
01:09We're just going to go outscore you.
01:11And oh, by the way, here's Jim Leonard.
01:12Just go run the defense, Jim.
01:14That's your defense.
01:15Go be aggressive.
01:15Go do what you got to do.
01:17We're going to play high event.
01:18So from that aspect, absolutely.
01:20So sustainability, I think the high event part of it is sustainable.
01:24We're going to see that all year and they're going to score a lot.
01:27And, you know,
01:28you hope that they can figure out the defensive part of it.
01:30Where I don't know is when it gets into,
01:36and look,
01:36we all know that Sean McDermott got a lot of,
01:38you know,
01:39criticism for getting against,
01:40you know,
01:40going against high level teams in the playoffs.
01:42And that's when his defense would break down because his,
01:45his philosophy may necessarily wasn't sustainable in those moments.
01:49And what I wonder is kind of the opposite,
01:52which is,
01:52is the offense sustainable to continue to outscore the defense's issues.
01:56Once you get into it,
01:58it's a little bit more opposite of what we've seen over the last few years.
02:01I think the high event.
