08:24destruction tour but settling in here on the final night
08:30even though Shigo got that win at the end of the jay car
08:33he still feels he needs to prove himself
08:40big four arms
08:42coming out on top of that
08:44the elbow
08:48there you go that's the big advantage
08:49going for the reverse GTR it looked like
08:54quickness edge could favor Shingo here
09:01sliding lariat and Goto back on his feet
09:04watch for Shingo trying to take Goto's moves throughout this match
09:08yeah and there has been that has happened on several occasions throughout this tour
09:13absolutely and Shingo saying hey I can do everything that you can do better
09:17my Shingo version of the GTR has got it waiting he says
09:22we'll see what happens
09:29and who has more pressure on him do you know do you think that it is Goto could be a
09:36stepping stone for Shingo
09:37or is it Shingo now full-fledged heavyweight I think both men are under immense amount of pressure in this
09:44match but I think the one thing that
09:45Shingo has got above Goto here is he has just spent the last six months to a year fighting junior
09:51heavyweight his speed as a heavyweight is a real advantage for it
09:57leverage edge in the Greco-Roman knuckle lock favoring Goto but Shingo powering and taking the side headlock
10:15goto with the momentum drives Shingo down
10:19is she gonna stand up
10:24is she gonna stand up
10:25is she gonna stand up
10:26now Takagi hits the ropes and he puts Goto down
10:29whatever you can do I can do better
10:31says Shingo
10:41he'll try it but Goto prevents and delivers one of his own
10:47cover and a count
10:49just barely two
10:51and Shingo was able to kick out
10:54Goto of course
10:56with G1 Climax Tournament action and a couple of other singles matches throughout the year
11:01a six and seven mark in singles matches bowed out of the New Japan Cup in the first round
11:08and was also
11:10came up on the wrong end of the ledger against Jay White when they met in April
11:15but Goto was able to avenge
11:18the defeat
11:19to Switchblade Jay White
11:21in the G1 Climax Tournament this year
11:24and will he be able to avenge
11:26this blemish against Shingo Takagi
11:28very different Goto
11:30from what we're used to from other years
11:32as he usually dominates
11:34throughout the New Japan Cup
11:36but
11:38he's come back firing after that
11:40loss to Jay White
11:41that was where Goto
11:42I think started to ask questions
11:43oh straight right
11:45and bang down goes Goto
11:49Shigo can be so
11:50quick when he needs to be
11:51that right hand out of nowhere
11:54cocked and ready to go at all times
11:56now Shingo will follow Goto
11:58to the outside
12:01be interested to see
12:02how much leeway
12:04Red Shoes gives these two athletes here
12:06as Goto gets thrown
12:08into the ring post
12:10clipping the ring post as he
12:12goes around and
12:13crashing onto the floor
12:16yeah Red Shoes
12:17I don't know if he's going to have
12:19much of a say here
12:21as these two guys just want
12:22to go to war
12:26Red Shoes saying back to the ring
12:27guys
12:30now
12:32Shingo is going to look to send Goto
12:34into the barricade
12:35and he does
12:36but Goto comes forward
12:38now up on the shoulders
12:41drops him on the edge of the ring
12:42and a DDT on the floor
12:45it looked like Goto was going to come back
12:47into momentum but Shingo
12:49able to spot it early
12:50so Shingo Takagi
12:52puts Hiroki Goto down
12:56Shingo
12:57saying he's thought ahead
12:59he knows exactly
13:00what Goto's next move is
13:05next move for Shingo
13:06could be get his hand raised via
13:08count out
13:11but instead
13:14here's my question Kevin
13:15do you think Shingo
13:16wants to win via count out
13:17obviously not
13:19I think he wants a definitive win
13:20he wants it in the middle
13:22of the ring
13:23no questions
13:24he rolls it back in
13:25very good point
13:27knee right into the midsection
13:29all of his way
13:30now
13:34something tells me Shingo
13:36has no doubt that he's going to win
13:38tonight
13:41oh and the double stomp
13:42it's just he wants to be on his terms
13:45and that's not by count out
13:56it's in the last
13:57and in the junior heavyweight division
13:58Shingo Takagi
14:00marched through the tournament field
14:01unbeaten
14:04dropped the finals
14:05to Will Ospreay
14:07et la verticale suplex
14:13even when Shingo was in
14:14here's a cover and a count of two
14:16even when Shingo was in the junior heavyweight division
14:19he always had heavyweight power
14:22let's be honest
14:23if your one real major loss is to the junior heavyweight champion Will Ospreay
14:28that's not something to look down at
14:31that's a pretty concisive victory
14:33but Shingo has not let that stop his momentum
14:36going into anything at the moment
14:38and quickly after the defeat to Will Ospreay
14:44Shingo began to make noise about joining the heavyweight ranks
14:46wanted to test himself against heavyweights
14:48and did so at Dominion
14:50in definitive fashion
14:51and a hard fought win over Satoshi Kojima
14:53one of the all-time heavyweight greats
14:55and then immediately went into the G1 Climax Tournament
14:59finished strong
15:00victories over Tomohiroishi and Hiroki Goto
15:03towards tournament's end
15:05with Goto the win
15:06the knee drop
15:10he drove some vicious elbows from above
15:13and then that knee drop
15:15that's an exclamation point
15:21calling out
15:22don't cheer on Goto
15:23here's the guy getting beatin' up right now
15:28Shingo even as a junior
15:30he called himself an openweight
15:32not a junior heavyweight
15:33but he said
15:34well hey an openweight
15:35a heavyweight
15:38that isn't deemed as 50-50
15:40he wanted to cut out any kind of excuses
15:46come on come on
15:49oh the big double hand drop
15:51sending Goto down
15:53and Shingo has been dominant
15:55in the early parts of this match
15:57Shingo Takagi looking very strong here
15:59against Hiroki Goto
16:08Shingo Takagi continuing to press the advantage here against Hiroki Goto
16:13in this special singles match
16:15destruction in Kobe
16:20a rematch from the final night of block action in the G1
16:24where Shingo was victorious over Goto
16:28in just over 15 minutes
16:36and the clothesline instead
16:37and Shingo goes down hard
16:41we know time's not a factor for Shingo
16:45we thought it was during the junior heavyweight
16:51tight headlock applied
16:58catches him in the corner
17:03is this enough
17:06Hiroki Goto fighting up from underneath
17:08it's a dragon down for a near fall
17:16Yushigaroshi but
17:18Shingo widening the base
17:21Goto going to try
17:23Takagi down
17:25waistlock
17:28big lariat to the back of the head of Goto
17:30at the 10 minute mark
17:32Shingo Takagi looks to come forward
17:36Goto going to look to put him down
17:37of course training extensively
17:39Chris with Katsuyori Shibata
17:40I was just about to say
17:41that's a shit better sleeper hold
17:43if I've ever seen one
17:45you notice his arms not completely under the chin
17:48Oh Shingo, Shingo's smart enough to tuck his chin in
17:51so not locked in the way Goto would like
17:54as you see Shingo fighting back
17:56yeah just at that very last moment
17:58before Shingo was able to get free
18:00you could see his chin finally did raise up
18:02good defense
18:03and trying to
18:04the application of the hold of his own
18:06but now on his shoulders
18:08drives him down
18:10Shingo is so innovative in the way
18:12he defends himself and you can see him right there
18:17dropping all his weight back onto Goto
18:21Now ahead of Steve
18:22the sliding lariat
18:24you could feel that one
18:27Noshigami on the way
18:30drops him down
18:31he'll go for a cover
18:33is this enough?
18:35two
18:35and a kick out
18:37just barely got the shoulder up
18:38yeah very light kick out there
18:40by Goto
18:44it was last in the dragon
18:46they got the win for Shingo Takagi
18:48over Hirookinodo
18:50but what will be the result here
18:52in this special singles match
18:58it's made me so much to prove here
19:01in Kobe
19:06here we go
19:07looking for
19:09at least made in Japan
19:11we will see
19:13tries it
19:16snapping the head
19:18of Shingo down into the knee
19:21yeah that was vicious
19:23Goto pulling
19:24on the back of the head
19:26of Shingo
19:27and straight across that knee
19:28and his head snapping forward
19:32Shingo is definitely feeling it
19:42now it's Hirookinodo
19:43with an opportunity
19:45to perhaps come forward
19:47and deliver some offense
19:48and he does
19:52reversal though from Shingo
19:53he's still
19:55a little wobbly leg
19:56as he catches the boot
19:59he needed just that moment
20:03it's almost like he recalibrated himself
20:06and lined up that big lariat
20:08with every blow
20:10and extra bit of
20:11trash talk
20:11to Goto
20:12come on
20:13what's the matter Goto
20:15now it's advantage
20:17Shingo as he
20:18sits atop here
20:20looking for a superplex
20:21Goto with shots
20:22to the ribs
20:23but
20:24Shingo delivering
20:24some headbutts
20:26to the side
20:26and one
20:28straight to the top
20:28of the dome
20:30and now
20:30gonna go for broke
20:32here
20:38Goto
20:38straight up
20:39from the superplex
20:40he took the suplex
20:42and Shingo rolls
20:44to his feet
20:48side of suplex
20:49both bent
20:50oh yeah
20:52Wowie
20:52both down after a series
20:55of some heavy moves
20:56started with a superplex
20:58physical reality setting in
21:00for both
21:01Shingo Takagi and Hirookinodo
21:05every bit the physically
21:07intense matchup
21:08we knew it would be
21:09coming in
21:13Shingo proving
21:14once and for all
21:16that he is
21:17a heavyweight
21:18to be messed with
21:23has now both men
21:24climb to the corner
21:26to recompose themselves
21:28almost get to their feet
21:29simultaneously
21:30they charge
21:31and collide
21:32at ring center
21:35some big lariats
21:37by both men
21:37neither going down
21:41oh man
21:44almost a double knockout
21:48it could happen
21:52Shingo follows in
21:55Goto follows
21:57misdirection
21:57the elbow
21:58straight right
21:59bang
22:00Goto
22:01but it's Goto
22:02with the follow up
22:03and the follow through
22:04Goto
22:05desperation
22:06lariat after that
22:07straight right hand
22:08of Shingo
22:14Goto getting eyes on
22:15Shingo
22:16zeroes in
22:16puts him down
22:17with a thunderous
22:18lariat
22:19one
22:19two
22:21and a kick out
22:23Shingo kicking out
22:25after two brutal lariats
22:27of Goto
22:29but the 15 minute call
22:31up on the shoulders
22:33for the
22:33Yushigaroshi
22:34no
22:35it's dead
22:36look at GTR
22:40uh oh
22:41wait a minute now
22:43got him up
22:44made Japan
22:45made Japan
22:46can he hit it?
22:47yes he can
22:49made in Japan
22:50and Shingo Takagi
22:52oh
22:53almost
22:54two for two
22:56against
22:56Hiroki Goto
22:57Shingo
22:58holding on
22:59to the arm of Goto
23:00hitting that
23:01made in Japan
23:02out of nowhere
23:03oh will Goto live
23:04to regret the idea
23:05he let go of the
23:07Yushigaroshi
23:08and went for broke
23:09with the GTR
23:10only to have
23:11Shingo Takagi
23:12turned into a
23:13made in Japan
23:14and a near fall
23:15look at Shingo
23:15rim up the crowd
23:18he's not done yet
23:20Goto
23:21Goto is on his heels
23:23he does not look
23:24good right now
23:25as Shingo
23:26comes forward
23:26pumping bobber
23:27no
23:27oh
23:28pumping bobber
23:30sweat
23:31spit and sweat
23:32flies in
23:33Goto
23:34goto kick it out
23:37can you believe it?
23:44blood sweat and speed
23:46seem to go everywhere
23:47all over the place
23:52it's over
23:53Shingo
23:55let's see if it is
23:58Shingo trying to predict
23:59that he's got Goto here
24:01here we go
24:02he's going for
24:02last of the dragons
24:05will the same fate
24:07befall Goto
24:08as did
24:08when they met
24:09six weeks ago
24:10in the
24:11G1
24:12Climax Tournament
24:13this time he won't miss
24:14for the Ushigaroshi
24:15the original is the best for the Ushigaroshi
24:21Goto needs to capitalize
24:23he needs to do something here
24:25to put Shingo away
24:29what's Goto's next move
24:31oh it will be
24:33to finish it with the GTR
24:35but Shingo already
24:36reverse GTR instead
24:38he'll try it this way
24:40trap both legs
24:41red shoes there
24:42and a kick out of two
24:44another heavy blow
24:45to the back of the head of Shingo
24:47almost put him away
24:48but Goto now
24:52setting up
24:58heavy chest kicks
24:59and Shingo might be out here
25:02and Shingo might be out here
25:03Goto is using those kicks
25:04so effectively
25:05during the G1
25:14they're back and fire
25:16oh
25:16Shingo hangs on
25:19hang on
25:20oh my goodness
25:22oh
25:24hope
25:25assisted GTR
25:27of his own
25:27for Shingo Takagi
25:30and now Shingo
25:33here we go
25:35a big bummer
25:39turns him inside out
25:41you can't get any closer than that
25:44Koto kick it out
25:47Shingo surely thought he had it
25:53how
25:53how is that two
25:55red shoes
25:56confirming
25:57it was a
25:58two count
26:00but now
26:01Shingo Takagi
26:03will look to put
26:04Hiroki Goto away
26:11what more does Shingo have to do here?
26:14well this would be the final blow
26:15up on the shoulders
26:16last of the dragon
26:17no
26:18counter
26:19again
26:20another block
26:21for Goto
26:23trying to
26:24jump in for position
26:25Shantung
26:28Goto is going to put the arm over
26:30he needs to get the pin
26:31oh he can't do it though
26:33Gino
26:33too much damage done
26:35Shingo smart enough to roll away
26:38make it a little bit more distance
26:40from Goto
26:41though each man has hit a finishing move
26:45that has led them to victory
26:47Goto able to kick out after a pumping bomber
26:50Goto unable to cover after the shouted Kai
26:53but now Goto
26:55you see how staggered he is
26:57but he's on his feet
27:00and Shhingo still down here
27:09zero again
27:11does not miss with the Pique
27:15he'll take it from there
27:16try another GTR
27:18Shingo swatting away
27:21headbutt this time
27:22it's Shingo
27:23oh and Goto comes forward
27:24with one of his own
27:26simultaneous headbutts
