00:00The biggest story always had to do with LeBron James departing Los Angeles Lakers and landing
00:06on the 76ers. Now speaking of landing, one of the big stories about him playing for the
00:12Philadelphia 76ers is that he's living in New York City. So he's taking a helicopter and he's
00:18taking a helicopter from New York to Philadelphia for practices and games. Apparently he's going to
00:23be doing the commute. This is why he actually had wanted to go to the Knicks but after the
00:28Knicks won the championship he didn't want to disrupt that team and he put together the
00:31super team in Philadelphia. Now Fanatics, which is the sports memorabilia organization is paying
00:38for the helicopter. Do you think that's crazy? Like flying on a helicopter? Now a lot of people
00:44are kind of iffy about it because of what happened with Kobe. You know, we don't want to see another
00:48NBA player taking these, you know, helicopter rides, but I don't know. I mean, LeBron James,
00:58LeBron James has to show that he's at a tier of his own, right? And this, you know, for me,
01:08it just feels right for LeBron. After coming to Hollywood, after doing the big star thing
01:14and maybe failing. To be honest, I feel like his tenure in Los Angeles was kind of a failure
01:18because he didn't deliver the amount of championships. But he won one championship.
01:22That was a bubble championship. To me it still counts. To me it still counts. In the records.
01:27Asterisk. Who? Asterisk for me, my friend. You have to win. Here's the thing. I was expecting
01:32for him to bring that championship and another championship. But instead of delivering that,
01:36he ruins Russell Westbrook's career by bringing him and then putting him as the scapegoat of that
01:42fail lineup. And then Nepo baby, Bronny, taking probably a couple of spots that players that have
01:51been forced to leave the organization to keep him there. Now, Bronny is earning his minutes. I don't
01:58have anything against him because he's working hard. Most likely he's going to be an all-around
02:02defensive player with a lot of effort. But his dad, now in Philadelphia, he's going to travel as a
02:08helicopter. And for me is distasteful because knowing the environmental impact, how out of touch
02:20that is with the common American. And for him to be flaunting around, look, look, look, look. For him
02:27to flaunt around his world by traveling with, because Philly has always been a workingsman fandom.
02:33The people from Philly are like blue collar, hard workers. And now the Regan star, he's just
02:40traveling in helicopter. I don't like it. Well, here's the thing. A lot of people in Philadelphia
02:43are like, aren't you going to embrace the city? You know, they thought he was going to come and
02:46embrace the city and be part of the community, which he did do in Miami. He did do in LA
02:49to a
02:50certain respect. But LeBron James right now has a media empire. So he needs to be in LA or New
02:56York.
02:56And Philadelphia is close enough where it's a 45 minute helicopter, right? By the way,
03:01he's not flaunting his wolf by doing it. He's being given that for free. Fanatics is putting
03:05it. Now, apparently the budget for the helicopter throughout the season is going to be close to a
03:09million dollars, about 750 to $800,000 that he's getting on top of his contract. But oh, look,
03:14he did. He did take less money on the contract to play with a super team. I mean, rightfully so,
03:19bro. I don't think he has the leverage that he used to have. And at the same time,
03:24this is a young man game. I think he has continued to be in the mix as a really,
03:30really strong player for the Lakers. But I don't think that's going to be the case in the East
03:34Coast. The East Coast is such a, it's going to be a harder path for him. I think the teams
03:39in the
03:39East are much more physical and stronger and bigger. So I think he's going to suffer.
03:44But I will say this. I do think that he's on a team where he can do what he does
03:47best,
03:48which is facilitate. He's a fantastic passer. He's a fantastic in-between player. And now later in
03:52the show, we're going to be having a debate. It's called Uncle versus Nephew. I'm going to be bringing
03:56Joseph in here. We're going to talk about whether MJ or LeBron is the greatest. For this segment,
04:00I'm defending LeBron. But later on, I'm going to take a different position. Now,
04:04let me throw something at you before we move on. Yeah, because let me give you some
04:09probadita de lo que va a haber en este discourse. Michael Jordan jersey from 1998 finals sales for
04:17$14 million, my friend. Top that, LeBron. I don't see your jerseys being sold at that price.
04:23Oh, give it time. Give it time. I don't know. Michael Jordan just has a different aura
04:28altogether. Como dicen los jóvenes, oracle all the way.
04:31Exactly. Well, no, I'm with you on that. I think he's the greatest player of all time,
04:34which we'll get to at the end of the show.
