00:00If he's going to jump the fence, he's going to be coming on from the neck.
00:02On the Florida highway, state troopers engaged in a dangerous pursuit
00:05as a reckless driver reached over 100 miles per hour, approaching an active toll plaza.
00:10We're going to continue as primary.
00:11We're going to continue as primary.
00:14The health attorney's no light bar. Go ahead and let them in primary.
00:17We'll stay in secondary tertiary.
00:20The tactical maneuver disabled the vehicle, but the suspect fled on foot,
00:24desperately scaling the perimeter fence to escape.
00:28Southbound towards the fence line off of Beck.
00:31Running back towards the toll booth.
00:32As the suspect scrambled over the fence, an arriving cruiser swiftly pinned him against the barrier,
00:37instantly cutting off any chance of escape.
00:39He's going to jump the fence. He's going to be coming on Beck.
00:42I'll get one more departure out of here.
00:44All right, he's on top of the patrol car for that unit.
00:46On top of your patrol car.
00:47Extend down into the shoreline.
00:49Roger. Connected to the shoreline. Air 10, I think, bye.
01:02Pinned against the cruiser, the suspect was safely taken into custody, facing multiple felony charges.
01:08Was this the wildest highway chase takedown you've ever seen?

01:17Once at the patrol car, the 13-year-old unleashed an explosive tantrum,
01:22violently thrashing his legs and refusing every single order to sit inside.
01:30Seeing his wild behavior spiral out of control, family members stepped in,
01:35sternly warning the boy that his anger was only digging him deeper into trouble.
01:38Just okay.
01:40But Jerry, stop doing that.
01:42Because you're making it worse for yourself.
01:44Deputies later debriefed their supervisor, confirming that on top of his existing warrants,
01:49the 13-year-old was hit with an additional charge of resisting arrest.
01:53He darted and left off the porch.
01:55I wrapped my arms around his waist and kind of took him down.
01:58He laid it on his stomach on the ground.
02:00I just sat on his hips and legs.
02:01He had his knee on his back just trying to control.
02:05Turning in your own flesh and blood is every parent's worst nightmare,
02:08but letting a reckless youth spiral can lead to irreversible tragedy.
02:12Did this mother make the right call?
02:14Or did the system fail this boy?
