00:03After more than two weeks of camping out in Puerto del Sol, fatigue is beginning to
00:07set in among the protesters demanding solutions to Spain's housing crisis.
00:12Amid tents and awnings, they've created a small community right in the heart of Madrid where
00:18they distribute food donated by citizens, have access to health care and work together to
00:23keep the area clean. But conditions are difficult. They don't have their own restrooms and many
00:28barely sleep. Even so, they say that solidarity and mutual support give them the strength
00:33to carry on.
00:34I would say that we are the most tired, but also more organized and more ilusioned. This
00:40is the table where we ask the donations of food and other materials that the camp needs
00:46and the people of Madrid come here and bring it to us.
00:50Meanwhile, institutional pressure to end the protest is mounting. The community of Madrid
00:55has announced that it will exhaust all legal avenues to secure the eviction after the
01:00High Court of Justice rejected its request.
01:03With this system we can't have aspirations. Many of our young children have had to go to
01:09London, Paris, to find life, to Amsterdam. And that is why this is an act of presence, of
01:14pressure. We are pushing this regime, this system. Of course, we are pushing this regime, this
01:19system. Of course, we are not going to go there, we are going to go there pausadamente and
01:21when we arrive to a agreement. But it is that they do not negotiate. They do not
01:25make it. They do not make it. They do not make it. They do not make it. They do not
01:26make it. They do not make it. They do not make it.
01:31It is, on the Puerta del Sol, in the middle of the heart of Madrid. The majority of the
01:35manifestants have been installed here since the last 26th of September and
01:39they do not march after they hear their vindications. Their objective is to
01:45visible the crisis of the home rents in Spain in a moment of especialmente
01:49tense political tension at the gates of the general elections in the next
01:53month of October. Christina Tsuquer, for Euronews, Madrid.
