00:04So here they come, match day two.
00:09The Dutch Cup winners against the Israeli champions.
00:14Cote Miners captains the side from midfield.
00:16I've already mentioned the pace and skill of Dahl out wide
00:19and the teenager, Bendigoz Kovac, leads the line on the bench.
00:23There's plenty in reserve.
00:24Max Meerdink already has four goals this season.
00:27Ventura, who we've just seen eyeing up the toss,
00:29he replaces the impressive Niamh Yershuat in midfield.
00:33Zlatanovic scored three in qualifying for the Champions League.
00:37Big players up from the back.
00:39Wouter Goose is up.
00:40Wesley Hoot is up.
00:43He was the target.
00:44Goose turning his header just over the bar,
00:47but it was a free header.
00:48Big number three.
00:54Completely unmarked.
00:55And Diop
00:58Didn't have hands on him at all.
00:59That is as free as they come.
01:02Seems pretty unlikely.
01:06Valdemar Buskov bouncing as it reached Marciano,
01:09who took no chances with the double-handed parry.
01:13Slick surface, worth a go.
01:15Good save by the experienced Israel goalkeeper.
01:25Third corner of the match.
01:26The first to come from this right-hand side.
01:29Aims for the edge of the six-yard area.
01:31Ball is loose, and Wesley Hoot has his shot charged down.
01:34As Leroy Echtel's side are trying to find gaps.
01:38Kovac on the spin.
01:40Puts the defender on his backside.
01:42And retains possession.
01:43Needs support.
01:44Gets support from Buskov.
01:47Forces a good save.
01:50And Ufkir can run at them.
01:52Dahl in support.
01:54Dahl wants it on his right foot for the shot.
01:56Gets it away, and just over the top.
02:00Well, he plays like an inverted iron robin.
02:03He will let fly.
02:11There won't be time for this.
02:13Half-time in Altmar.
02:17All the possession has gone the way of the team in red.
02:20The home team, RZ.
02:21But only really one shot of note.
02:32They kept us waiting, the referee.
02:35But away we go.
02:37In the second half.
02:39On match day two.
02:41The half-time report, I think, would read from both sides.
02:45Must do better.
02:47Happoel will be happy.
02:48With the clean sheet.
02:53Buskov.
02:55Lovely ball.
02:56Cote Miners!
02:58With the reverse.
03:01Happoel want the offside flag to go up.
03:06First crack at Europa League football for the Dutchman.
03:09And they're in trouble here.
03:10Armada has won the ball and cuts the ball back.
03:12And it's through the legs of the defender.
03:15And Manquaforsen has the equaliser.
03:19And it is a mess.
03:21The league last year by three points from Betar, Jerusalem.
03:24Their golden years came in the previous decade.
03:27They were champions three years in a row.
03:28From 2016 to 2019.
03:31And here they come again.
03:32East, the substitute, off the bench.
03:35Almost made an immediate impact.
03:38Forces it to...
03:38Creating lots of angles and opportunity.
03:40But can't quite thread the ball through to the front man.
03:45Who is probably playing his last couple of minutes here with Mierding being readied.
03:49Cassius crosses it across the face.
03:51And Kovac can't get on to it.
03:58Brilliant opportunity for the teenager.
04:00Cassius.
04:01Explosive pace.
04:03Dangerous cross.
04:05Just needed a touch for a penalty in the game.
04:11Well, the referee's going to the screen.
04:15Jibril Jopp shakes his head.
04:23We're going to see this again as the referee sees it.
04:27He has his hand round his waist.
04:29His left arm is around Kovac's waist.
04:34And he's right, I think.
04:37I think the referee might change his decision here because Kovac is not far away from making contact.
04:43And was that because of the impact of the arms around his waist?
04:52He's taking a good look at this.
05:00It is to be a penalty.
05:05Diot penalised for hands-on Kovac.
05:10A yellow card is coming out for the Senegal International 2.
05:17Who was sent off against Savard in Champions League qualifying.
05:21Full speed.
05:22It's hard to argue.
05:23He definitely grabs him.
05:28And he can protest his innocence all he likes.
05:33But it's a penalty.
05:35To the home side.
05:41And indeed, while they were away at the VAR terminal,
05:47substitution was made.
05:49And Max Mierdink, who's just come on, has grabbed the ball.
05:52Is he the man to take it?
05:57Certainly looks to be the case.
06:03Mierdink and Chavez have come on for DeWitt and Kovac, whose last involvement was to win the penalty.
06:10Max Mierdink hasn't touched the ball yet.
06:13And he's put it down to take it.
06:15And he's put it down to take it.
06:17Case Smit has his head in his hands.
06:21He would be a penalty-taking option if he wasn't injured tonight.
06:24Everybody's got their head in their hands.
06:26Huge moment for AZ and for Max Mierdink.
06:36He's got his first goals for the Netherlands in the international window.
06:41And he continues his form in the Europa League.
06:45His first touch of the night.
06:49Much busier up and down that left flank against Dinamo on match day one.
06:55Ugarita.
06:57Lovely chipped pass into the run of Mizrahi, who hangs it high.
07:02João Victor was coming in.
07:03Forsen has a strike at goal.
07:06Fancy the second.
07:07Would always rather be going the other way.
07:09Here's another look at this flashing strike from Forsen on the volley.
07:14It's a good save.
07:16Body's committed forward for Happowell.
07:19Lucas Ventura, now east.
07:23Needs support, the Jamaican.
07:25Hassled and harried by Dahl, who wins the free kick.
07:37Stengs, loose ball, falls to his feet.
07:40Good save, Marciano straight at it, but he stood up tall.
07:46And his goal has wrapped it up.
07:51AZ Outmar are off the mark.
07:53Max Mierdink's intervention made all the difference.
07:56Jibril Diop penalised for hands around the waist of Kovac.
08:01Mierdink came on as a substitute in that moment.
08:04And with his first touch, he leathered it into the roof of the net.
