00:00You've praised the players a lot. I just wonder, can you put into context the kind of attitude you see
00:04from the players day-to-day?
00:05Because it seems that even after the window ended and then the news broke about the ownership looking to potentially
00:12sell the club,
00:13there's been no kind of attitude from the players where they're almost saying, we didn't sign up for this kind
00:18of thing.
00:19No, and I don't expect it. And I don't think managers would do that.
00:23I think we all expect the players to focus on their job, concentrating, hopefully winning,
00:28but certainly doing the best you can in the pitch. So I think the players have bought into it.
00:32They understand it. I've recently been mentioning Leicester City, who won the league with not too many players.
00:39So, you know, we've not got too many players. I'm not saying we're going to win the league,
00:42but we want to try and challenge and we want to try and be around the top teams if we
00:47can.
00:47You've been kind of reinforcing that message then?
00:49Well, I've been reinforcing it because that's what I want us to do. I want us to be positive.
00:52I want us to be a side who I would hope that Chelsea coming would think it would be a
00:58difficult game for them,
00:59competitive game for them. I would hope that any other side coming to Everton would feel that.
01:05I don't want that to change.
