00:00Kimberly Guilfoyle, Trump's Greece ambassador, recently resigned.
00:04There have been quite a few misconduct allegations, including an ask for Trump donor Eric Dieters to pay off her
00:11$100,000 credit card bill, allegedly, in exchange for access to senior Trump officials.
00:16Her lawyer disputes the messages, and Guilfoyle says she didn't do anything wrong.
00:20Wait, who is Kimberly Guilfoyle? And how'd she end up representing the U.S. and Greece?
00:26First, let's go back. Guilfoyle started her career as a prosecutor in California, and she was once married to Gavin
00:33Newsom.
00:34Then she co-hosted The Five on Fox News, followed by a very different role, raising money for Donald Trump.
00:39In 2020, she co-hosted a virtual fundraiser that raised over $20 million, according to the Trump campaign.
00:47Right around then, she got engaged to Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr.
00:51Then there's January 6th. She also claimed to have raised $3 million for the rally that happened right before the
00:58Capitol attack.
00:59That's according to messages obtained by ProPublica.
01:02Her attorney disputes her involvement, and the amount hasn't been independently verified.
01:07And even though her engagement to Trump Jr. ended in 2024, Trump appointed her as ambassador to Greece in 2025,
01:14where American energy companies have been trying to make deals so they can supply natural gas to Europe and Ukraine.
01:21Let's revisit those allegations.
01:23The Wall Street Journal reports that a registered lobbyist for the Greek construction and energy company, Akthor,
01:30went with Guilfoyle to official meetings with foreign leaders.
01:33That's a no-no.
01:35Guilfoyle says she didn't do anything wrong.
01:38Still, White House Press Secretary Katie Zachariah confirmed the White House had requested Guilfoyle to resign shortly before she did.
01:46Her connections helped define her political career.
01:48But after allegations about how she used her influence, they weren't enough to keep her job.
01:53That's Kimberly Guilfoyle.
01:55Wait, who?
01:55Do you know what she used to do?
