00:00TNT's Under-15 squad will start the World Cup tournament in Group S, battling against the likes of Cayman Islands,
00:06Egypt, Iraq, Macau, China, and St. Keats and Nevis.
00:09The tournament will be innovative, featuring an 8v8 format with 20-minute halves.
00:15Two Under-14 players in Jaya Nanton and Hashim Salandi have earned spots in the squad as head coach Randolph
00:21Boyce gave an insight to their preparation.
00:24The youth has been working hard. We have a kind of layover in terms of preparing one team for the
00:32Under-14 tournament and then coming with the Under-15 team,
00:38which we would have, I think, we have about six players training, but to make it to the final cut,
00:46to go with the Under-15 team to this tournament,
00:49and which is a plus in terms of the development. It's a great experience for them.
00:56With a focus on development, Boyce explained the changes to their approach.
01:00Some of the things that the public don't know that the MA is doing, TTFE, is trying to have all
01:09the youth programs
01:10and the high performance run simultaneously.
01:14So, where the programs are now continuing year-round.
01:19Years before, the programs used to be, after a tournament, a lot of people used to say they used to
01:25be scrapped.
01:26But this present association is no longer having that.
01:33They are running a continuous program year-round.
01:37Now that they have more sustained contact with the players, Boyce revealed the areas they have been working on.
01:43We have a very nice, balanced, young squad.
01:47And we have been working to improve the tactical awareness and system of play, individual role and function.
01:56We have been working on improving the techniques and the discipline in terms of passing accuracy,
02:04lofted passes, one-two combination, third-man runs, spatial awareness,
02:09to improve them in this department, which we need.
02:14We have been working to try to improve their physical readiness to play in international tournaments,
02:21the psychological readiness for international tournaments as well.
