00:00There is nothing more frustrating than your Wi-Fi instantly dropping right in the middle
00:03of a work call or movie night just because the power flickered for 2 seconds.
00:08If you want to keep your router, security cameras, or modem running completely uninterrupted without
00:13dropping hundreds of dollars on a massive power station, you are in the right place.
00:17Today, I've tracked down and tested the best deals on the top 5 portable UPS battery backups
00:22for outages so you can stay connected when the lights go out.
00:26Kicking things off at number 1, we have this 10,400 mAh mini UPS, and the standout feature
00:32here is easily the replaceable 18650 battery design.
00:36Most cheap backups force you to throw the whole unit away once the internal lithium cells degrade,
00:41but with this one, you can just pop open the bay and swap in fresh cells whenever you need.
00:46At around $21.70, it gives you multi-voltage DC outputs for 5, 9, and 12 volts, making it
00:53a fantastic, sustainable long-term fix to keep your Wi-Fi router or home monitors humming
00:58through a blackout.
00:59Next up in the number 2 spot is a slightly more premium pick, a dedicated 10,400 mAh uninterruptible
01:06power supply coming in at $50.75.
01:10What sets this unit apart from the pack is its ultra-clean power regulation and seamless
01:150-millisecond transfer switch, ensuring your sensitive networking gear doesn't reboot or drop
01:19packets when the mainline cuts out. While it does carry a higher price tag, the superior build
01:25quality, built-in surge protections, and reliable 12V, 9V, and 5V outputs make it well worth the
01:31investment if you work from home and cannot afford a single second offline.
01:35In our third spot, we have the DC1018L 10,400 mAh backup, and its killer feature is an ultra-wide
01:42AC input range of 85 to 265 volts. That wide range is a lifesaver if you live in an area
01:49prone to severe
01:50brownouts, voltage dips, or unstable grid power that would normally trip standard power supplies.
01:56Priced at just $20.29, it can simultaneously run your optical modem while doubling as an
02:02emergency cell phone charger, offering unbeatable peace of mind for anyone wanting maximum power
02:07versatility on a budget. Coming in at number 4 is another super practical option, a DC UPS adapter
02:13with a replaceable battery bay, priced right at $20.94. The best part about this unit is its compact,
02:21all-in-one adapter footprint, which eliminates that annoying rat's nest of extra cables behind
02:26your entertainment center or desk setup. It gives you selectable 5V, 9V, and 12V lines,
02:32and because the batteries are modular, it offers a hassle-free, clutter-free way to keep your
02:37optical terminal and security monitors alive during unexpected cuts.
02:41Finally, rounding out our list at number 5 is the DC-1018L18W model, and the major highlight here
02:47is that punchy 18W output paired with swappable 18,650 slots. At just $18.97, it happens to be
02:56the most affordable backup on the entire list, yet it boasts an impressive 4.9-star rating from
03:01thousands of users. If your modem or router is slightly more power-hungry and pulls a higher
03:06wattage, this little box delivers that extra juice effortlessly without driving up the cost.
