00:00In the last month, the chief minister and the ministries came here and sat in the class to share the
00:06good feedback.
00:07And how study from the ministries and chief ministers, then IAM and the director?
00:14The job of a politician, a political leader is very complex.
00:18They have to look at a larger constituency than any business manager does.
00:23They have to look at the complexity of driving the electorate towards voting them back again and also doing administrative
00:32work.
00:32It is like kissing babies and delivering karate chops at the same time.
00:37You have to kiss babies to please your electorate, to keep them happy.
00:40But you have to do some unpleasant jobs of discipline.
00:45And this is very, very difficult and very significant.
00:48So we learned that the chief minister, the home minister, the industries minister, everybody there, the education minister, the health
00:55minister, everybody sat there like attentive students.
01:00The discipline that they brought was unthinkable.
01:02If you look at what happens in assembly, exact opposite of that we saw in the classroom.
01:07So we saw these are the same people who have to fight battles on the street and they are learners.
01:12They are students.
01:13They behave like students.
01:14They are obedient.
01:15They follow timeline.
01:16There was enormous discipline.
01:18They came on time and did not allow distraction like smartphones.
01:22I mean, this is our learning.
01:23So you can see people who are constantly under pressure of performance, constantly responding to public demands and media demands
01:33can actually come and sit and learn.
01:36And this is something that was remarkable for me compared to the previous cabinet, Ruban Chandi, this cabinet is much
01:42younger.
01:42And so they are far more interested in learning.
01:45Some of them are first time ministers, including the chief minister.
01:49And so they were interested in learning more about statecraft, about what's happening in the world, what's happening in disaster
01:55management, what is happening in health care and education.
01:58So they absorbed like sponge whatever we had to offer.
02:02And I was very happy to see that, you know, this should be a trend in political class, that they
02:07should know what's happening in the larger world, not just in their constituency, but in the larger world.
02:11So that when they frame policies and take decisions, they are able to do it on the basis of best
02:16practices that are going around and academics are able to provide that.
02:21So our role was that of Rishi.
02:23They were Rajas.
02:24So the combination was Rajashi.
02:26Raja is the executive, the leaders, and Rishi is the teacher.
02:30So when they come together, we have Rajashi.
02:34Rajashi is the model of leadership going forward.
02:39Right? That is the model.
02:41The new team is a very good team.
02:43Oh, it is a very good team.
02:44See, one thing I saw was that whenever an idea came, they went into a huddle, five, six of them
02:50got together and said, what does this idea mean for us?
02:52I saw them discussing our lunch, our tea breaks.
02:56And the team, despite their political differences, their age difference, their ideological difference, they were able to converge on learning.
03:04And they asked very critical questions.
03:07We had faculty from Japan, from London.
03:10So we got faculty from all over the place.
03:12And so they asked questions.
03:14They wanted to vet their action choices vis-a-vis the current knowledge.
03:20And so from that point of view, we thought they bonded well as a team.
03:25It was very, very heartening to see that.
03:28Right?
03:29Thank you very much, sir.
03:30Thank you so much.
03:31Thank you very much.
03:32Thank you very much.
03:32Thank you very much.
03:32Thank you very much.
03:33Thank you very much.
03:33Thank you very much.
