00:02.
00:06That's been the theme of their tenure on beaten streak at home in La Liga against Barca.
00:11Lovely footwork from Busquets there.
00:13Little flick to Leo Messi, Messi turns, gets away from Ieremendi,
00:17tries the shot from outside the box, warning sign from Leo Messi.
00:20Yeah, it's a confident Barca.
00:22Look, I don't want to be contrary to La Liga win,
00:24but it's almost exactly a year since they came to this stadium against this opponent with this referee.
00:30Eusebio put Zorotuta on Banega and admitted,
00:34I want Xabi Prieto and Zorotuta to play tighter,
00:37so Odria Arzola has his way clear to make these runs.
00:41Xabi Prieto with the cross.
00:43Oh, and it's 1-0 to Real Sofiedad.
00:46Not even 11 minutes on the clock.
00:49William Jose didn't look like the cleanest contact from Prieto's cross,
00:53but it ended up bouncing into the back of the net,
00:56leaving Mark Ter Stegen stranded.
00:58And the curse of Anueta goes on.
01:01You talked about Johan Cruyff where Valverde and Eusebio were two teammates at Barca,
01:06playing under Cruyff.
01:07And Cruyff's full backs were, like Alba and Roberto tonight, small.
01:11And they kept saying to him, boss, boss, how do we stop conceding headed goals?
01:16Don't give the ball away in wide areas.
01:18Don't give away free kicks.
01:19And tonight, look at this.
01:21When the ball is put in from feet, they don't look for the run.
01:24There is no height to get on the first header.
01:28The second header, Paulinho is asleep.
01:30Roberto's come in.
01:31It should have been the other way with Paulinho in front attacking the ball.
01:34Roberto in front of William Jose.
01:35It's the perfect tactic.
01:37It's clearly something they've worked on.
01:40One-nil to the team that always frustrated.
01:45Where teams down in the second halves of games.
01:48It could still well happen, but the first half performance is brilliant.
01:51And that one floated in by William Jose.
01:54And the shot from Canales, not too far away.
01:57They required the save.
01:59It was perfect movement.
02:00Again, I believe that the assistant referee will prove to be right in the decision he was.
02:05And significantly so from Alan can claim all he wants.
02:11It's great to see a Sergio Canales with this kind of confidence.
02:14What a ball into Juanmi.
02:17And that one counts.
02:19Two-nil to the Churiuddin.
02:21Juanmi with the goal.
02:23The football intelligence coming from Sergio Canales.
02:26Who fought like a terrier to keep that ball.
02:28A beautiful ball over the top of the fence.
02:31In comes Juanmi.
02:32I don't know if there's maybe a question of offside.
02:35I'm willing to bet it's onside.
02:38The timing of the run was perfect.
02:39I'm willing to bet he's onside by a distance.
02:41The deflection means the German goalkeeper has got nothing to say about it.
02:45Juanmi hasn't scored, I think, since September in La Liga.
02:49There were many who would have said, you know, it's a battle game.
02:52Absolutely it is.
02:54Yet another bet by Eusebio, who's called it right, as has the assistant.
02:58Absolutely miles onside.
03:00That little touch means that poor old Sergio Roberto is probably going to get the own goal.
03:05Certainly Ter Stegen is blameless.
03:07But the time that the Real Sociedad are finding on the ball to deliver these goal passes,
03:14tells you that something in the midfield is not functioning.
03:17It looks horrible at the back.
03:18He's got freedom.
03:19But the win...
03:22When they have the ball, their first time passing resembles Barca on form.
03:26And we know, from having watched the league leaders, how difficult that is to combat.
03:30Well, that was a beautiful movement from Suárez.
03:33Suárez across.
03:33Paulinho makes it 2-1.
03:36It's Paulinho again.
03:38Possibly the ideal Barca player for a situation like this.
03:43Rulli managed to get his hand to it.
03:46It's Suárez turned assist maker.
03:49And Paulinho, I'm not sure if that's six or seven goals in La Liga this season for the big Brazilian.
03:54The question about the positioning.
03:57And no question that it's really interesting that all season,
04:00Suárez has made the wrong decision about when to look for Messi.
04:04To always look for Messi.
04:05He used the word, I do it by inerthia in Spanish.
04:08He says, I just always look for Messi and therefore I know I have to break that habit.
04:12You can see Messi arriving in his traditional Alba to Messi position at the edge of the box.
04:17And this time Suárez did the right thing, the intelligent thing.
04:20Laid it on a plate for Paulinho.
