00:03SMU gets it done here in Dallas taking down Virginia 23 to 13. The Cavaliers were held to
00:09just three points in the second half turning a tight game into another ACC win. Kevin Jennings
00:15surpassed 10,000 career yards of total offense throwing for 246 yards, two touchdowns and zero
00:21interceptions. Afterwards we spoke with Mustangs head coach Rhett Lashley and he was asked about
00:26Jennings' performance here today. He said that Jennings just played within himself and led the
00:31team to this victory. This was one of Kevin's better games just because you look at the stat
00:35line you okay through for 200 and almost 50 yards two touchdowns no picks but he had some big third
00:41down and fourth down plays and throws was smart with the football obviously and then I thought
00:46he did a nice job of just being a boring quarterback in a good way and then when he had
00:51to be special
00:52he was third down fourth down to play to Jay Hale for the touchdown he really just played within
00:57himself and led the team and and did a really good job. Jennings credited that patience to experience
01:03saying that I think it's just maturing. The Mustangs are now going on to five and one as they prepare
01:09to take on Cal next Saturday here at Gerald J Ford Stadium. For more on SMU tune into Spectrum Cable
