00:11In New York, hundreds gathered as part of the No Kings movement to demand early voting and
00:17protest against voter suppression. Our correspondent, Henry Camelo, brings out the details.
00:25Hello, greetings to you and the Telesur audience.
00:27I'm here at Washington Square Park where hundreds of people are gathering to ask for the early
00:34voting this year for the midterms. And I'm here precisely with one of the protesters
00:40who are here with a sign inviting people to vote early in these midterms. Your name?
00:48I'm Ali. Hi, Ali Morales.
00:50Ali, why are you here and why it's important in these terms to vote earlier?
00:55I'm here because I think the state of the country is horrendous. Our rights are being
01:00taken away little by little, one by one. It's impossible to live here if you're not a straight
01:06white man. Our rights are being breached constantly from abortion rights to women's rights, immigration
01:14rights, illegal and legal, and now our voting rights among 10 million other things. It's
01:19really disgusting. And that's why I'm out here today.
01:21President Durentra have been trying for all means to stop the Democratic vote. What do
01:30you think about that? The fact that he's sending ICE agents to California for 45 days to intimidate
01:39the voters. What do you think about that?
01:40I think it's disgusting, but not surprising. He is constantly breaking the law. The laws
01:46here are just suggestions to him at this point. So it's really not a surprise that he is trying
01:51to do everything possible to stay in office and to rig the elections essentially. So it's
01:59disgusting. That's why I'm out here, I guess, promoting voting because as much as they want
02:04to suppress, the more people are out there, the harder it is to control.
02:07President Durentra. What's your message for all those who can vote on November 3rd?
02:13President Durentra. Take advantage of your right, stay sharp, stay active, stay media literate,
02:18and get out there and vote. Thank you so much.
02:21President Durentra. Thank you.
02:22President Durentra. Well, people continue coming to this rally. This is part of the No Kings movement,
02:30and we're going to be here to bring you all the latest. That's all what I have from New York.
02:35Back to you in the studio.
