00:00violence is gripping the streets of France as some of the largest riots that France has ever
00:05seen continues to grow by day. Chandler Painter joining us now with the very latest on the
00:10unrest. Good morning, Chandler. Hey, good morning, guys. So at least 1,200 people were arrested
00:14across the country yesterday in what the French government has described as an escalation in
00:24violence. More than 550,000 people taking to the streets Saturday to protest education standards
00:35and rising cost of living. Riot police clashing with demonstrators amid widespread looting,
00:40vandalism and arson. Police resorting to tear gas and water cannons as protesters became more violent.
00:46Around 150 officers were injured during the clashes. And a 140-plus-year-old town hall that
00:53survived both world wars was also set ablaze. French President Emmanuel Macron posting that
01:00there is, quote, no room for violence in our republic. Those who have broken, attacked the
01:04prefectures and as well as businesses, looted even our town halls, will be prosecuted and punished.
01:10Protests across the country have been ongoing for nearly five weeks across schools and universities.
01:15The French prime minister pointing to, quote, the ultra-left groups and delinquents as escalating
01:21the chaos. Guys. All right, Chandler, thank you very much. Oh, you guys, it's just heartbreaking to
01:27see that building, that gorgeous town hall, 145, almost 150 years old. It's about two world wars,
01:37and then these people burned to the ground. Well, and, you know, it has nothing to do with a lack
01:43of
01:43school books or shortages of teachers. Remember why this all started. That was the claim, yeah.
01:48And look at what it's spread into this. And it's not just in one town or one area. It's not
01:55just in
01:56Paris. It was in Limoges that we were watching that town hall being burned down. It's even spread to
02:00other parts of Europe and Italy as well. And, you know, Vice President J.D. Vance had a tweet
02:06overnight that that really puts in perspective exactly what we're witnessing right now. He writes
02:13on X this Western liberals imported the third world into France and other countries in the name
02:18of diversity and compassion. They ignored fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility. They
02:24were told it would lead to this and they didn't listen. I pray that France, a beautiful country of
02:29amazing people, will stop this madness before more of its landmarks burn. And I hope Americans are paying
02:35attention. This is the future congressional Democrats seek for your country. And of course,
02:40he is absolutely right. He's absolutely right about it. And the reason that he's vice president,
02:46the reason Donald Trump is president is because they are the first people. President Trump is the
02:51first person to step forward on the global stage and identify this problem and do something about it.
02:57And I think it's really interesting. And if you read the quote unquote mainstream press
03:02about their coverage of this, they talk about the school funding. They talk about poor people not
03:10getting services. They talk about they say nothing. They had nothing. You read the BBC. You read the New
03:15York Times. You read the Wall Street Journal. They say nothing about the fact that many of these
03:20protesters are immigrants from other countries that were hauled into the country, never assimilated.
03:26They say nothing about the fact that we're looking at a French flag right there. But in a lot of
03:32the
03:32shots, you don't see French flags. You see Palestinian flags. And I don't know if the reporters doing
03:37these stories are just too old or they're afraid to get down there and do something about the actual
03:42coverage where you actually talk to people. But they don't tell that part of the story. And it takes
03:47the vice president of the United States of America to actually identify the real what is going on
03:53here. And if and France may not like people like J.D. Vance or Donald Trump, but there we go
03:59with
03:59Palestinian flag. They're going to wind up with a Marine Le Pen as because of no one else, because
04:07she's one of the few people in that country who's actually willing to identify the problem and talk
04:12about it. There was an organized effort to move those people over to politicians, by politicians and
04:18by billionaires like like. Well, they're working for the billionaires like exactly like Open Society,
04:24George Soros Foundation and other foundations who these NGOs want to destabilize Europe. They hate
04:31Europe. They hate the idea of nationalism. And and and that's the same thing that that that happened
04:39here, of course. And the other thing I want to bring up is that is what something that J.D.
04:44Vance
04:45talked about, which is assimilation. You know, there's a lot of consternation on the left.
04:49We're fighting ice. We've got to stop all these deportations. The reason we have to deport people
04:55is because they came here without a legal process that would assimilate them into our country,
05:03our customs, our mores, our history, our culture. And that's the kind of thing my mother did.
05:09She decided she wanted to become an American citizen after she married an American G.I.
05:13and she said, I'm going to learn English and then I'm going to go take a course and I'm going
05:18to learn
05:19the history of America and then I'm going to pass a test about civics and history in America.
05:25And through that process, she became proud to be an American. The people you are seeing here
05:30have no love for that country, for France. They don't love France. They don't care about its people.
05:37And all these shop owners right now who are living in fear, they wish they had a Donald Trump there.
05:43They only wish there was somebody brave enough to withstand the insults and the insults about being
05:51a xenophobe or a racist. They wish they had someone that strong. But unfortunately, they don't.
05:57They have Macron.
05:58It's fascinating, too, when you watch a lot of these violent riots, they're not even protests at this point,
06:04you do see the Palestinian flag and you wonder. So what does that belong there?
06:09I do want to touch, though, because, Charlie, you got me thinking. You were talking about the media coverage.
06:14Did you see several people on social media were flagging a CBS report yesterday that said scuffles had broken out
06:22in parts of France? Does that look like a scuffle? Would you describe that as a scuffle?
06:28It's hardly a scuffle. But listen, do I think there's a bunch of Palestinians in France right now doing this?
06:33No, this is all astroturf. Remember, we had BLM as well here. These are anti-West forces.
06:41These are anti-West NGOs who are who are pushing this stuff, just like BLM. They're Marxists.
06:47We had Azra Nomani. She talks about this green-red alliance, the Muslim-Socialist-Marxist alliance.
06:57These are people. They're essentially anarchists.
