00:00So you've got a Baofong and you want to talk without anyone seeing a wire hanging off your
00:04face. I went down the rabbit hole on this one and found the best deals for the top 5 Baofong
00:09earpieces for covert communication. Some of these are under 5 bucks, and honestly a couple of them
00:15shocked me. Starting with the cheapest one, the Radio Dual PTT Air Duct Earpiece, $4 even,
00:21and it's got almost 5,000 sales. The air duct tube is the whole trick here.
00:27Nothing electronic sits on your ear, just a thin clear tube, so up close it looks like a hearing
00:32aid or nothing at all. Dual PTT is a nice bonus if you run two radios. For 4 bucks, that's
00:40the best
00:40entry point on this list. Next up, the 2-way Radio 2-Pin K-Head Soft Ear Hook 720. This
00:48one's got a
00:484.9 rating off nearly 5,000 orders, which is the strongest review score here. Soft ear hook means
00:55you can wear it all day, and the K-pin fits basically every Baofong, UV5R, BF888s, Kenwood,
01:01Retivus. If you just want one reliable earpiece that works with whatever you own, this is it.
01:08Third is the heavy-duty throat mic U94-1076. This is the real covert setup. Throat mic picks up
01:16vibration straight off your neck, not sound from the air, so it still works in wind, in a crowd,
01:21or when you're whispering. U94 PTT is the NATO standard, and it's built heavy on purpose.
01:28Highest price on the list, but if you need it to work in noisy places, this is the one.
01:33Fourth, the Baofong K-neck Throat Control Earpiece, 743. Same throat mic idea but cheaper,
01:40and the retractable finger PTT is the standout. You slip the ring on a finger and press without
01:46reaching into a pocket. That's the difference between looking natural and looking like you're
01:51fumbling for a button. Great middle ground between price and function. Last one, the 2PCS Baofong
01:582-pin G-shape ear hook, 783 for 2. G-shape hook sits inside the ear and stays put when
02:04you're moving.
02:06It's also rated 4.9, and it fits the newer stuff too, UV5R, UVS9, UV13, UV17, UV21, UV16 Pro Plus.
02:16Two for under $8 means one for you and one for a buddy, or one as a backup. Easy pick.
