00:00viewing the coming games at 1 p.m. Eastern. We've got the Chargers taking on the Chiefs,
00:05and certainly Andy Reid's season is any time the Chiefs are off a bye, they play particularly well.
00:10The Chargers have had a really hard time getting out of their own way, but Joe, you know, what's
00:15sort of happening here with the Chargers is you're starting to see them cover some spreads. The lines
00:20are getting bigger and bigger for the Chargers, and naturally, ATS, at the end of the season,
00:24most teams are covering half of their games. It's just the way that it works in the NFL, and so
00:28is that the case again today, where certainly you would expect the Chiefs to win, but it's a
00:33division game. These teams have had some epic battles through the years. The Chiefs are laying
00:36seven and a half points against the Chargers. Once again, Andy Reid off a bye usually wins,
00:43usually covers, but I suspect that at some point, the Chargers still may not win a game this season,
00:49but they're starting to keep a lot of these games close, and they're in them. How about this week
00:54in Kansas City? Well, on the road against Kansas City, again, that record for Andy Reid, 22-5.
01:02That's an 8-15 winning percentage for Andy Reid coming off a bye, 6-2 with Patrick Mahomes,
01:07as well as quarterback over that span. So I think the Chargers are done, and I think that they have
01:16earned this spot here for themselves. I think the infighting has begun, too. The finger-pointing has
01:21begun. Who's to blame? Should Mike McDaniel be stripped of his offensive coordinator duties? Will
01:26he be fired as offensive coordinator? I mean, the unmitigated disaster that has been the Chargers
01:32season. There's very little hope here, I think, for them to go into Kansas City, a tough place to
01:37play anyway. If this game was not in Kansas City, maybe I'd give him a puncher's chance to keep it
01:41close. I think the 7.5 feels about right. I think you're getting a lot of Ken Walker in this
01:45game
01:45coming fresh off the bye, too. They've used him a ton, but with Rushy Rice's health, I think you're
01:50going to see a lot of Kelsey in this game. You might see some of, you know, the Noah Grays
01:54and
01:54the, you know, Xavier Worthy pop off and have some, you know, weird, maybe we'll even have a
01:58Cyrus Allen coming out party, potentially. But you're going to see some other weird names kind
02:02of pop up in this game, I think, because of the health of Rushy Rice. But you're going to see
02:06a ton
02:06of Ken Walker in this game, and I think this is one contest where I don't think it's going to
02:09be in
02:10doubt ever. So even if the line doesn't look like it, I feel like Kansas City will always be in
02:14charge of this contest and the preparation time they have, the in-division game. The Chiefs know
02:18how important this game is for them to win in-division here and get this home victory
02:23against an in-division opponent. So I don't think that's lost on Patrick Mahomes and company,
02:27and I just think the Chargers don't have an answer for it. The run game is a mess. They can't
02:31identify
02:32who the running back is they want to get the ball to, what it looks like. Lad McConkie's health has
02:36been terrible. Justin Herbert's played the worst football of his career, and this was a quarterback
02:41that started off his NFL career in a really good spot, breaking a rookie record for passing yards.
02:46And now there's people saying, well, maybe it's time to move on from Justin Herbert. How things
02:50have fallen apart in the last couple of years for him and this team is really something that
02:54needs to be studied, Craig. I have no faith in the Chargers to cover this one.
02:57It's very, very strange, and Kansas City certainly has been dominant. The Chargers don't have the
03:03weapons that they used to have with Keaton Allen and Mike Williams and some of those great receivers,
03:08but I can't get there laying the points in a division game. I just can't do it. So I will
03:12pass on this one there.
