00:00Espresso Tamper Station vs Portafilter Holder, which is better?
00:04Ok, real talk, if your espresso setup looks like a crime scene every morning, ground coffee
00:09everywhere, portafilter rolling around, tamper bouncing off the counter, you don't need a new
00:14machine. You need a station. I dug through the listings, compared prices, reviews, and real
00:20buyer feedback, and I found 5 that are actually worth your money. So let's break down Espresso
00:26Tamper Station vs Portafilter Holder, and figure out which one fits your bar.
00:31First up, the 51-53-58mm Wood Coffee Tamper Holder Station. This is the looks expensive on my
00:39counter, pick, solid wooden base, keeps your tamper upright and your portafilter sitting level,
00:43and it just makes the whole routine feel calmer. Around $51.59, with 4,678 sold and a 4.8
00:52rating.
00:53Worth it if you want one piece that does the job and looks great doing it.
00:57Next, the Aliciscafe Espresso Tamping Station with Portafilter Holder.
01:02This is the budget surprise, fits 51, 54, and 58mm setups, works with DeLonghi and Breville,
01:09holds your portafilter while you tamp so nothing slides.
01:12Only $11.50, 4,533 sold, 4.8 rating. If you're just starting out and don't want to spend much,
01:22this is the one I'd grab. Then there's the coffee portafilter stand in stainless steel.
01:28Bottomless portafilter holder, tamper station, fits 51, 54, 57, and 58mm and it's a perfect 5-star
01:35rating, 4,529 sold. It's $11.44. Stainless steel means it wipes clean in seconds and won't stain
01:45from coffee oils. Cheapest pick of the bunch, and honestly it punches way above its price.
01:51Number 4, the Acope 7-in-1 Wooden Tamper Station in Natural Walnut.
01:567 functions in one base tamping, portafilter rest, mat, storage, the works.
02:02It fits 51, 54, and 58mm. $48.66, 4,467 sold, and the highest rating here at 4.9.
02:14Buy this if you want one organized spot for everything and you're done hunting for tools
02:18midshot. So which is better? If you only need somewhere to park your portafilter while tamping,
02:25grab the $11 stainless steel stand. If you want the full workbench, go with one of the wooden
02:317-in-1 stations. Links to all 5 are in the description below, go check the current prices
