00:07we've been waiting for our room for four hours I'm so sorry ever since our manager left it's
00:13just been chaos here but I promise you if I may 1408 is free I saw the guests leaving with
00:20their
00:20suitcases when I was upstairs housekeeping if you could head up there now and give this
00:27absolutely lovely couple who really have waited a long time a drink on the house and until the
00:36room's ready hold them a table in the restaurant thank you so much ma'am
00:44you see that's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about ever since Susan and Jordi left this place
00:51is falling apart no manager the kitchen's collapsing guests are leaving and there's no money to
00:57pay salaries mr. Harrington's coming today they're saying if this keeps up he'll close the hotel
01:04which means all of us all the staff will be out of work
01:18no I won't let that happen this hotel is not
01:23wait I haven't told you the worst part yet what you just solved with room 1408
01:29that's a drop in the ocean tomorrow's the Winston King wedding two diamond tycoons marrying off their
01:40kids they booked out half the hotel and brought in guests from all over the world so what's the
01:46problem we don't have rooms ready for them okay so how many are we short 40 40 rooms
02:01that's mr. Harrington the owner mr. Harrington my parents paid you a fortune for this wedding
02:08and if there aren't rooms for all my guests within the hour I'm moving the wedding to another hotel
02:14madam I completely understand who the hell is in charge here I'm not but I can fix this
02:28who are you someone who knows this hotel better than anyone who's ever run it
02:34trust me trust me we don't need more housekeepers we need to focus effort call everyone in bellboys
02:41cooks waiters everyone goes up now to get all these rooms ready but lunch has to go out in an
02:46hour
02:46what do we do with our cooks
02:50we'll order food for every guest from the most expensive restaurant in the city
02:55we're the Harrington hotel aren't we we always give a flawless experience whatever it costs
03:2340 rooms everyone's in thank you
03:30there you go sir now we can talk about who
03:35susan ran this place for years and much as I may have hated her methods the hotel worked
03:40since she and geordie left revenues dropping the kitchen's falling apart and the staff has no
03:45leadership so let me run it you I was told you used to be a housekeeper here exactly I cleaned
03:53every
03:53room worked with every department and heard every single complaint your managers never bothered to hear
03:57give me this weekend sir if the wedding goes perfectly keep me on 48 hours
04:06it all happened so fast my instinct told me to go for it so I went for it running a
04:12hotel means
04:12hours and hours on your feet and you're pregnant so what are you saying that it means if you'll do
04:20it
04:20you'll stay in shape and love yourself even more so I'm very much for it really
04:27yes I knew from the first moment you were a lot more than a housekeeper
04:32thank you Damien sure you don't want me to just buy the hotel and save us the 48 hours
04:38no no no stop I want to know I can do this on my own
04:45you're too good not to be some kind of scam
04:48I'm not maybe I just bloom when I'm with you
04:55you know what else is starting to do
05:00oh I can definitely feel the bloom
05:04oh um sorry to interrupt Mr. Cross but we have to leave for the airport
05:12I trust you take care of yourself don't do anything stupid and if there's a problem
05:16tell me promise I promise
05:24if I'd known how fast I was about to break
05:30Henry any Winston King wedding guest who checks in after midnight gets checked in in their room
05:33not at the desk and families with kids
05:35hot milk and cookies in the room before they even think to ask
05:38I already love working for you
05:40wait till day two
05:51so Miss Davenport how was the first day
05:54I did what I could
05:59what you could
06:02in four hours you found 40 rooms we didn't have
06:05reorganized every shift
06:07won back two guests who'd already asked to check out
06:10and frankly got this staff working together for the first time since Susan left
06:15I'm very impressed well done
06:18thank you Mr. Harrington
06:21but none of it means anything if the wedding falls apart tomorrow
06:25and a 300 person wedding means first and foremost a kitchen and our kitchen is a mess
06:33what kind of mess
06:34the substitute chef can't control the staff
06:36half the dishes are coming back
06:38and they can't even reproduce the menu the Winstons and the Kings already tasted and signed off on
06:42so we bring in another chef
06:45we called everyone
06:46but on one night's notice there's no one who can carry a kitchen like this tomorrow
06:56except Jody
06:59so either we call him or the hotel doesn't survive
07:07don't do anything stupid
07:08promise
07:20I want to make sure I'm understanding this right
07:23the woman who wrecked my career invited me back to the hotel because now she needs me
07:28I don't need you
07:30the hotel needs a chef
07:32and you happen to know the best one in town
07:35tomorrow is a 300 guest wedding
07:37if it falls apart
07:38the hotel could close
07:40and everybody you know who works here could lose their jobs
07:47so what I'm hearing is
07:49I'm head chef again
07:51for two days
07:53you come in
07:54save the event
07:55and you're out
07:57there's just one problem
07:58last time I left here I was in handcuffs
08:00because of you
08:05want me to save the hotel?
08:07okay
08:08sure thing babe
08:10once you drop the charges against me
08:13you tried to stab me in the stomach
08:15and nothing happened to you
08:18but if I don't come back now
08:21sounds like a lot's going to happen to a lot of people you love
08:36if it's not a fit
08:38it's not a fit
08:42wait
08:46yes
08:47okay
08:48I'll ask to have the charges dropped
08:50I knew you'd always know how to make the right call baby
08:56let's bring this place back to life
08:58yes chef
09:14he might be a horrible human being
09:16but fuck
09:18he's a good chef
09:21is that Geordie
09:25isn't he the man who attacked you a few days ago
09:29sir he's only here for the wedding
09:32I needed someone who could save the kitchen on a day's notice
09:34and he's the only one who could
09:38a good manager doesn't pick the people she loves
09:40she picked the people she needs
09:41I'm more and more impressed with you
09:44I'm more and more impressed with you Miss Davenport
09:52taste this
09:59amazing
09:59truly

12:22because you owe me that
12:23look me in the eyes
12:25and ask yourself
12:26which of us betrayed
12:27humiliated

18:19than his job
18:34it's all okay now

18:53the kitchen fell apart
18:54there was no other chef
18:55who could carry the wedding
