00:00I'm sitting in my seat back there, where some of you are, and all of a sudden, Dolly enters, but
00:10I hear the best of both worlds.
00:13Yeah, Dolly opened, performing Hannah Montana.
00:19But that's just not the end of that story.
00:21She comes out and she goes, like a proud aunt, I don't know if y'all know this, but my
00:26goddaughter is Hannah Montana.
00:30And she's actually here tonight, but she's sitting out in her seat. She didn't want anyone to bug her.
00:34She said she just wanted to watch the show, which defeated the entire purpose of the conversation that we had
00:38just had.
00:39Because absolutely no one was aware that I was at the concert until she drew an obnoxious amount of attention
00:45to it.
00:48But like so many things Dolly did that I didn't understand at the time, sitting here with you all right
00:57now, feeling her.
01:00All around me, knowing that she's right here beside me, every day, more than she could be when she was
01:09here.
01:09I feel her, more now than ever.
01:12And knowing that I get to share this story with you all, it makes that night very worth it.
01:18This memory is gold to me.
01:21Me and Dolly, we are eternal.
01:24Nothing in this life could ever tear us apart.
01:26And I'm going to see her again.
01:28And I can't f***ing wait until I miss her.
01:43Some of the greatest music that we have today was written, produced, performed by my Aunt Dolly.
01:53Is that I only got to see Dolly Parton live in concert one time in my entire life.
02:01And it was here.
02:06Now, I spent a lot of time backstage and if she had it her way, if she was playing a

02:14I'd be standing right beside her in a matching costume.
02:22And so, when I was coming to the show at the bowl to see her, I said, you know,
02:28I would love a night where I could just experience you.
02:33I could just enjoy you like the rest of the world has gotten to.
02:38And so, Dolly, I don't want to perform tonight.
02:41I just want to sit in my seat and watch the show like everybody else.
