00:00Tee, watch out!
00:01McCaffrey in motion, that's a snap.
00:04McCaffrey with a catch.
00:06And a nice gain on first down.
00:08Amik Robertson is there for Washington, but a gain of six.
00:12Now, that's one of the reasons why they've been able to play the run so well,
00:15but they've had a hard time holding up in the secondary.
00:17On third down, this one is caught by Evans.
00:22He's playing with a stiff Achilles tendon and cracked ribs.
00:27Purdy would like to get back, but they come right back on third down and convert.
00:32On first down, Purdy comes underneath,
00:34and the pass is caught by McCaffrey in a gain of four.
00:43On first down, Purdy, good protection!
00:46Kittle, touchdown!
00:56No one is more excited to get back on the field than Jake Daniels.
01:01He capes to his right, and there's McLaurin, wide open.
01:06Found a hole in this secondary, and Terry McLaurin right out.
01:12Quick set up, the throw, and that's Diggs and a drop,
01:15and then Diggs gets plowed by Mustafa, and then he got walloped.
01:20Well, Malik Mustafa, this guy is a heat-seeking missile.
01:24I mean, it is remarkable watching him play.
01:27You watched the film from last week.
01:29He was laying guys out, and he plays an old-school style.
01:34Nine for 11 is only misses from 50-plus.
01:38Good snap, good hold.
01:40The kick is drilled.
01:44At their own 28.
01:50Purdy, protected.
01:51Evans with a catch!
01:53Here he goes!
01:54Mike Evans, inside the 20.
02:03You just can't defend a great ball,
02:06and it's just put perfectly right out in front for Mike Evans to make,
02:10and it's remarkable.
02:11Team, watch out!
02:14Purdy.
02:15Looked right.
02:16Takes off.
02:18Takes a little lateral and dives for a first down.
02:24That's Evans.
02:26That's McCaffrey, and that's a touchdown.
02:41I mean, barely touched, going into the end zone for their second touchdown of the night.
02:49Under three to go, first quarter.
02:51Daniels lets it fly.
02:53It's high and caught, and there is Diggs,
02:55who is able to make the catch.
02:58The players for career catches play clock at three.
03:01Third down and nine.
03:03Daniels in trouble, and set.
03:07Oh, Diggie Zuwa.
03:10Six-man rush.
03:11They load this left side with four rushers.
03:13And, oh, Diggie Zuwa, he's been a great addition.
03:16I liked him when he was in Dallas.
03:18He comes right around.
03:19He's able to make...
03:20And has to get carted off the field,
03:23as the punt is upcoming from Tress Way.
03:27Line drive.
03:30Howling muffs it, picks it up, is in trouble,
03:33and can't get to the five.
03:36To the video board saying,
03:37take a look at what you missed.
03:39It's third down and three.
03:41Purdy.
03:41Protection.
03:43And the pass incomplete.
03:46Clint Evans.
03:47Knocked away by Sonny Stiles.
03:49Opportunity for Washington.
03:50They got the great punt from Tress Way.
03:52The defense did their job.
03:54Now they're set up at good field position.
03:55Here's Diggs.
03:56Good, strong throw.
03:58And Diggs gets nine.
04:00First door, buddy David Molden.
04:01We know you're watching tonight.
04:02Hope you're feeling comfortable, bud.
04:04Yep.
04:05Here is a wide open Okonkwo.
04:09And the big tight end.
04:11In his time in the league, it's third and six.
04:17Daniels.
04:19Brought down from behind.
04:20It's fourth down.
04:23Again, what does he dial up?
04:25First year offensive coordinator on fourth and two.
04:29Daniels out to his right.
04:30Flag on the play.
04:31And Daniels has to throw it away.
04:37And if this is against Washington,
04:40it'll be declined.
04:41And it'll be San Francisco ball.
04:43Yeah.
04:43You don't throw the ball away on fourth down.
04:46You've got to at least give your receiver an opportunity.
04:47Illegal shift.
04:48Offense, number one.
04:50Two minute motion.
04:51Number one, never reset.
04:54Third down and two.
04:55Purdy.
04:57With the defender at his feet is able to complete to Jordan Watkins.
05:03And think about the quarterbacks they've had in this organization.
05:07Well, it seems to be a prerequisite if you're going to be a 49er.
05:09Because Steve Young, for the longest time, he had the highest quarterback rating as well.
05:13Here is McCaffrey catching run.
05:16Balls out.
05:17Punched out.
05:18And it's recovered by Lou Vu.
05:24And really, the only blemish.
05:28First down and 19.
05:31Daniels, from his end zone, going to go.
05:35And is not going to break the tackle of Grayson Holton.
05:41Play clock at two.
05:47Leshawn White draws a crowd.
05:50Fourth down.
05:51For McCaffrey, Lisa.
05:53That's him in motion as Purdy keeps.
05:56Looks left.
05:57Scanning.
05:58Wide open.
05:59They just left McCaffrey standing by himself.
06:03And he may want to cover number 23.
06:06That's a good one.
06:11Purdy takes off.
06:13And will dive.
06:16And get it.
06:18I don't know that they could have expected that.
06:21But he has been one of those cornerstone pieces for this team.
06:25Evans with a catch and a roll.
06:28Playing with a tight Achilles tendon.
06:32And this throw was leading Evans to the ground.
06:36And with that roll, he got a first down.
06:38And then Dan Quinn took a timeout.
06:39Yeah, you can see a route.
06:41He's lined up in the slot.
06:43Christian McCaffrey out wide.
06:44Zone coverage.
06:45And he just loops right around.
06:47Sonny Stiles.
06:48And it's actually a good throw by Purdy.
06:51You're protecting him a little bit.
06:53Does he have a chance to run after the catch if it's up a little bit?
06:56Proffler down and 5.
06:5712th play of this drive.
07:00Quick set up.
07:01There's Kittle.
07:03And there's a strong tackle by Stiles.
07:06And we'll see where they put it down as a timeout is taken again.
07:10And on 4th down and 1.
07:12Ready, team?
07:13Watch out!
07:15Purdy pulls ahead.
07:18And he's got a first down.
07:19They're going to mark him at the 1.
07:21That's center and right guard combo.
07:22They've started three straight years together.
07:24Here's McCaffrey.
07:26He is in for the touchdown.
07:34And there are only 13 seconds left in the half.
07:38And here is the effort by McCaffrey.
07:41He gets it right there.
07:420 for 4 as you saw.
07:4449ers 5 for 8 on 3rd down.
07:47Daniels keeps.
07:48Slings it.
07:50And a nice diving catch by Traylon Burks.
07:53They need somebody to step up.
07:55Yeah, and that's a nice route by Traylon Burks.
07:57And Renardo Green.
08:01Some guys bail out on 3rd down and 8.
08:04And down goes Daniels.
08:06And a sack by Mikel Williams.
08:09The loss of Mike Evans for what he has done.
08:12And we'll see what his timeline might be.
08:16Good protection.
08:18And Kittle put in stride.
08:21And Kittle down to the 32.
08:23You know, the fact that they are up 20-3.
08:27Maybe they'll be able to rest him a little more.
08:29Burdy.
08:29That ball got tipped.
08:31Off the hand to Frankie Loubou.
08:39And able to drill it.
08:41He's made a presence over the last few weeks.
08:46First rushing first down of the game.
08:49Okonkwo with a catch and a run for another Washington first down.
08:53Fourth down and 5.
08:54They got to hurry.
08:56They just got it away.
08:59And Diggs has got a first down.
09:00That was close.
09:03Touchdown makes it a two-possession game somehow.
09:08Daniels in trouble.
09:09Let's it go.
09:10And he's got a touchdown to Diggs.
09:14Big time pressure from Malik Mustafa.
09:19And Jaden Daniels a great job to hang in and deliver a strike to number three.
09:24It's a good job by Daniels.
09:26He's got to handle the snap and get his fingers on the laces knowing that Mustafa's coming off
09:31that edge.
09:31And he delivers.
09:32And what's asked of them offensively at the wide receiver position.
09:35Not that you can just put anybody out there.
09:37But if you've got Brock Purdy playing, he's got a chance for success.
09:41He's in trouble here.
09:43And sacked back at the 25.
09:50Third 11 pressure.
09:53Purdy steps up.
09:54Flips it.
09:55Incomplete for Kittle.
09:57And well covered by Jeremy Reeves.
10:00Getting after Purdy with the sack.
10:02And then getting off the field on third down.
10:05This second punt by Waitman.
10:07on the night.
10:10McCaffrey.
10:10That is a muff punt.
10:13That's a live goal.
10:19Wow.
10:20And the 49ers have got it.
10:23McCaffrey is saying he stayed away.
10:26I guess he's saying he didn't touch it.
10:30Oh, he didn't.
10:31Maybe he didn't.
10:32I thought he definitely did.
10:34But right there, it does not look like he did.
10:44Daniels O'Connor.
10:45One-on-one outside.
10:47Third down and four.
10:48This one is batted into the air and incomplete.
10:53There is a flag down in the secondary.
10:59Before the pass, illegal contact.
11:01Defense number six.
11:02Daniels O'Connor.
11:03Oh, you're a follow-up.
11:04Automatic first down.
11:07Daniels keeps O'Connor.
11:09Good catch.
11:10And he's forced down to the first down.
11:13Cozme back in there.
11:14We saw him leave.
11:15Grabbing at his back.
11:16Oh, what a catch by Diggs.
11:19Come on.
11:20How about a one-handed grab by Stephon.
11:23He is able to get his glove on it.
11:25There's a good look.
11:28That's a great catch.
11:30So now they've got...
11:36Pressure.
11:39Flags on the play.
11:40Catch is made by Williams.
11:47Daniels got his man, but a flag on the play as Rashad White has the tough 10-point game.
11:55Look at this throw.
11:56You're going to see the angle route here by Rashad White.
11:59This is the threat that he is in the passing game.
12:01We saw it when he was with Tampa.
12:03It's a good job.
12:04I mean, that's a great drive.
12:05A lot of good...
12:06What a team, what's up?
12:08McCaffrey in motion.
12:10Purdy steps up and goes.
12:13And dives forward with a nice game.
12:16They're going to mark him at the 36.
12:17I mean, they showed a little resolve, the fact they've gotten back in it.
12:21And Purdy is going to be sacked.
12:24Brought down by Odafe Owe.
12:27Much better football in this second half.
12:29It's third and 10.
12:32Here's one incomplete for McCaffrey,
12:34and that is back-to-back three and outs by this 49ers offense.
12:44Four-man rush from San Francisco.
12:46Time wide open.
12:48The rookie, Antonio Williams.
12:51And a conversion on third down.
12:53A completion of 10.
12:59Daniels, good protection again.
13:01Floats it.
13:02Burks, diving catch.
13:06Yards.
13:07This is his best throw of the night.
13:08In trailing Burks, this is why they brought him in.
13:11This is why Tennessee drafted him.
13:13I mean, he adjusted the ball.
13:15Look at the night down for Daniels.
13:1625 of 30, 260, and two touchdowns.
13:20Here's McNichols.
13:21Breaking away.
13:23McNichols!
13:24Flag on the play.
13:26And McNichols is in.
13:30First little foul, face mask.
13:33Offense number 75.
13:3415-yard total.
13:37You're going to see it.
13:38It's Chris Paul, number 75.
13:41Right here.
13:45And it's a good call.
13:48You got a hold of Jaden Duggar's face mask.
13:52And that moves the ball all the way back to the 40.
13:59Pressure.
14:00Floated.
14:01No one there.
14:04Pressure by Ashton Davis.
14:07And it's fourth and eight.
14:12Pressure off the edge.
14:14And down he goes.
14:17Romello height.
14:18But there's a flag in the secondary.
14:20Illegal contact.
14:22Defense number 24.
14:23Five-yard policy.
14:25Automatic.
14:29And how about on a fourth and eight,
14:32Ashton Davis right in the middle there
14:34is guilty of illegal contact.
14:38Wasn't a lot, but it was enough.
14:40Here's Okonkwo that I'm talking about.
14:43It's just, he's just running away from man coverage.
14:46And he's running right in front of Jaden Daniels.
14:49If he sees it.
14:53See if maybe they got away with a face mask there.
14:55Not a lot there.
14:56For Washington against this 49er defense in the ballgame.
15:00Quick throw.
15:01Burks.
15:09Daniels.
15:10Fires.
15:13Incomplete.
15:13With Mustafa in coverage.
15:17Diggs couldn't bring it down.
15:20Burks couldn't bring it down.
15:22And it's first down, San Francisco.
15:36Quick throw.
15:37Safe throw.
15:38McCaffrey out on the edge.
15:40Timeout taken by the commanders there.
15:45Toss to McCaffrey.
15:46Looking for blocks.
15:48It's fourth down.
15:54McCaffrey waiting for the punt.
15:57And he gets hit immediately and dropped by Saran Neal.
16:01That's a big play by Saran Neal.
16:04And now a flag comes in.
16:05Delay game.
16:07Offers.
16:07Five yard penalty.
16:08Remains worked out.
16:13Four man rush.
16:14Daniels.
16:16He's got the rookie Williams.
16:18That's that area of the field we've been talking about.
16:21That's still the area of the field that's open for him.
16:24Second down and ten.
16:25Daniels in trouble.
16:27And just throws it away.
16:29Was he in the pocket?
16:30He was in the pocket.
16:31That should be intentional grounding.
16:33There was no receiver over there.
16:37Intentional grounding.
16:38Offer.
16:39The quarterback was in the pocket.
16:41The ball was thrown to an area with no eligible receiver.
16:45Ball was being returned to the spot on the foul with loss to down.
16:48There will be a ten second runoff by rules.
16:52Game clock operator.
16:53Please let the game clock to six seconds.
16:55And we'll be down to six.
16:57No trailing Burks.
17:02This will do it.
17:03And it's going to end on a sack.
17:0749ers are 6-0.
17:11Height and white combined to end the game.
17:15One, four, and one.
17:21This was a three-man rush by San Francisco.
17:25And they never let Jayden Daniels even outside the pocket.
17:28That's a great job on the last play of being able to make a play.
17:33Trying to play coverage with a three-man rush and sack.
17:36Merci.
